    Firstly, awesome video. Really helped me down here in Australia on my 2008 Precedent, especially bypassing the OBC and relocating the central wiring bundle.
    The only thing that confused me is when it came time to mount the battery, while I had the same bracket and battery you had, and mounted it in the same position and as low as it could be in the battery well (including cutting off those raised bits) I could not close my seat. My only option was to mount the batteries directly to the floor of the battery well without the bracket. The solution is fine, but I'm really perplexed as to how you didn't have the same issues I did, as the bracket would allow for better cable management and better heat dissipation if any exists.
    Again, thanks for the video from down under. :)

    Excellent video! I have the exact same cart and am ready to install a lithium. I will need to move the controller card and don't understand how you unplugged that main motor cable then managed to plug it in again. Also, pushing the other wires through and then fishing them out again before reconnecting to the controller. Did you have to go underneath the cart? With those hole sizes it seems there is not enough room to manipulate. Thanks and again, great job! This is very helpful.

    I ordered the 110 volt replacement Electrical Receptacle outlet that's water proof so it has a lid that closes, I didn't see a cover on yours, but with them being male ends that means the legs will always be live and if something fell in on them and grounded them out it could burn something up or possible do a few other things bad. But you could have put one on just didn't show it in the video. Good Job nice work I'm working on mine and I'm ready to be done lol

    Thank you for the video! Definitely makes me more comfortable doing this myself. I have a few questions. In the video there is a blue wire with a plug coming off the positive terminal. I have that same plug with nothing hooked up. Do you know what that is for? Also would this battery have any problems tripping the bms with a lifted 2014 precedent going up hills? All of the motor and controller are stock as far as I know. 250amp controller. Thank you in advance for any help!

    • @PalmettoBatteryPros
      @PalmettoBatteryPros  2 года назад +1

      The blue from pos terminal is where your lights hook up. You should have no protection shut down issues with a 250a controller. If you do, its under warranty.

    • @seancavanaugh628
      @seancavanaugh628 2 года назад

      Thank you for the reply. So currently there is nothing hooked to that wire but somehow my lights are still working. The only other wire I see coming off my batteries is a blue negative coming off battery 3 or 4. Not sure which way you count the batteries if it’s from the positive side or the negative side. I’m a little confused how this is even working. As far as I can see there is no voltage reducer on the cart either.

    • @PalmettoBatteryPros

    • @PalmettoBatteryPros

      Correct, the reducers we use now have a power wire that connects to the cold side of the key switch. This was an early video we did, the most recent videos show the key switch activation. This product segment has really advanced over the last two years.

      12 gauge wire to run to 12v reducer, with ring terminals to connect to battery. You may need some 12g wire to hook your 12v load items to the reducer. Other than that, if your main pos and neg cables reach the battery you shouldn't need anything else other than what is provided.

      You can buy them on Amazon. You can use a less expensive one with 48v input and 12v output or a more expensive model that has a constant or kill switch added with external fuses. Either will work, any 48v will work.

    • @PalmettoBatteryPros
      @PalmettoBatteryPros  2 года назад +1

      Of course, I had to replace my controller on a 2008 DS when I converted. Its specific to the curtis 1510 controller. This information is from ECO battery customer service. I recommend doing the OBC bypass first then installing the battery. I tried the battery, when it didn't work I bypassed the OBC then it still wouldn't work, so I replaced the controller fixing the problem. ECO also recommends upgrading your solenoid. I must say that out of all the carts I've done I have only had it happen once, so 30% is a bit high in my opinion.
