Pokémon Yellow Version, Special Pikachu Edition, is the third Pokémon game for Game Boy released worldwide, as a solitary version of Pokémon Red and Blue Versions. Unlike other games, Pokemon Yellow was inspired by the anime. Generation 7 remakes, titled Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, were released worldwide for the Nintendo Switch in November 2018, two months after Yellow's 20th anniversary in Japan. The Current World Record for the Any% Glitchless speedrun is 1 hours, 54 minutes and 1 seconds by Gunnermaniac. Any% Glitchless means that you beat the game as fast as possible, without using glitches. Nidoking is used in the Pokemon Yellow Speedrun, as it evolves early, has great stats, has an amazing moveset and allows the runner to take full advantage of certain gen 1 mechanics.

The Truth That Sets Us Free

The word disciple comes from the root word discipline. However, we typically don’t like discipline because it’s hard. We want things fast, and we want things now. We don’t like to wait for anything anymore.
If we want something, we can order it online, and we might even get same-day delivery. If we want to watch a movie, we can download it or stream it. And if we want the latest news, we can get it on demand instead of waiting for the evening news or the morning newspaper.
So, when we read in the Bible about taking up our crosses daily and following Christ, and when we realize that we need to slow down and meditate on God’s Word, it seems almost alien to us.
Yet God says, “Be still, and know that I am God!” (Psalm 46:10). If we want to be real disciples of Jesus, then we need to slow down and learn to listen.
A disciple will carefully read, study, and live according to God’s Word. Jesus said, “You are truly my disciples if you remain faithful to my teachings. And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” (John 8:31-32). The Bible says that He addressed these words to those who believed in Him.
Jesus wasn’t referring to just any truth. This is specific, absolute truth found exclusively in Scripture. The context is reading, studying, knowing, and living God’s Word. That truth will set us free.
Jesus prayed to the Father, “Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth” (John 17:17). The truth we find in the Bible is the only absolute truth we can be certain of in life. And when we understand what God says about life, it sets us free.

gunner was the first channel I ever watched on twitch. in 2011 I think when the 159 was just broken. I was there when he got the first 158 ever and i was excited because I watched him grind for it for like a month lol.

Why does Pokémon yellow take so much longer than blue/red?
Yellow has a slower early game because you have to start with Pikachu vs using Squirtle, also there are many things that were 'patched' in yellow. Such as Instant Text and Red Bar. Some of tricks to go fast just don't work in yellow.

Noob question: How the hell did he walk all the way through Mt. Moon with no encounters and why can't the same principle be used to avoid encounters in other parts of the game?
First part: RNG manipulation.

The GB and cartrige don’t have a true RNG chip (that samples radio noise or so), the game uses the player inputs to feed the RNG entropy pool and base random events on those. So the game reset there resets the RNG to it’s initial seed. Then there is a specific path where each step you do results in the RNG outputting "no encounter". That way, he gets through there without encounters.
Second part: Idk. Maybe there are no dedicated paths through tall grass that can do the same RNG manipulation. Or those paths that exist do not lead to the desired destination or take longer than simply beat some encounters.

Also Vendetta is a kangaskhan lel nah he's probably a porygon if I had to guess. I played a rom hack once where team rocket spliced him and the poke was a clefairy.

So funny to see that eleven year old me also figured out nidoking thrash is so insanely op. I caught a nidoran because I read in the paper manual that it learns double kick at 12 which kills brock easily. Then I went to mt moon and got a moonstone. Nidoking carried my ass through the whole game.
