Suspect shot after officer stabbed in west end

- Toronto police say an officer was stabbed and a suspect was shot during an incident in the city's west end on Friday afternoon.
It happened in the area of College Street and Lansdowne Avenue at around 1:30 p.m.
Police say both the officer and suspect have been rushed to hospital via emergency run. The officer sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Toronto Police Association. The condition of the person who was shot by police is not known.

The suspect had a warrant for their arrest, cooperated inside, and once outside stabbed the cop in the leg.

I have not always been the biggest supporter of the police but I never hated them either. However as of the last few years it is becoming more and more apparent that we need the cops more than ever. Society is on the decline ( wonder why cough cough ) and they are what are standing between our society being peaceful ( not so peaceful anymore apparently ) or descending down into anarchy. People need to stop hating on the cops and start showing them some respect. I hope the officer is doing okay. The human being in me also hopes that the suspect recovers but I will also say that the suspect got what the suspect asked for. The majority of cops are good people that are cops for the right reasons. Remember they have very hard jobs. A job you might not be able to do.
