Use Epson's Pigmented inks. They'll keep your prints from fading for up to 100 years. Xyron has a wide format cold press laminator that will seal the picture to the substrate with double sided lamination. It is manually powered via hand crank. Feeding the project through the machine seals all materials. The laminate is pH neutral and acid-free making it perfect for archiving as well. Depending on the size of the machine you get it will use easy to swap self-contained cartridges or two independent rolls (one for supply, one for take-up). These save time by eliminating the spray adhesive and sealant stages, no drying times either. When you cut into their laminate it will NOT peel away like other heat-based lamination films can.
It's still in Beta, and there are a lot more available on the net. Mine is specifically designed to output Native LightBurn format. In a few months, I might be willing, but I have had not a lot of feedback from past betas, so it is difficult for me to ensure bug free operation. I do produce SVG out now as well, but that is limited.
3M spray adhesive, laser, of course. 1/8" Masonite, Preserve It,, which is what I spray on my photos that I print. LightBurn software, my own software that I wrote to actually make the puzzle. J roller is optional, you could use a roller pin.
I generally offer my programs for free, but the setup is not easy, so I abandoned that route. There are puzzle solutions out there. My issue is that I can no longer correctly package my program, written in Java, for installation. So, after a Beta a few years ago, I just use it for myself. Thanks for the inquiry.
AHA thats how to clean it without making a mess! Thats a key piece I was missing. Many thanks. I found some chipboard on Amazon, the stuff used for hardback book covers, and makes a pretty nice puzzle too. Didn't think to use Masonite though, that's even better.
This is fantastic! Thanks for sharing. I've been trying to find a way to create a custom puzzle. Do you think it's possible to create a custom order through you?
You prolly dont give a damn but does someone know a tool to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot the password. I would love any assistance you can give me.
@Rowan Dante Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff now. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
The problem is that all the puzzle pieces are the same geometry and you could actually put this puzzle together "wrong" in millions of ways. What if it was a picture with a lot areas of one solid color? What if there was a lot of black, or a blue sky? Is there a puzzle generation program that will randomize the shape of the pieces?
Well, not quite true. They are not the same. Subtle differences will annoy the person that puts this together. In the program I use, you can set them for All the same, None, or Random...
I do not, I bought a few cases a few years ago, still have some. Have NOT found an alternative ( No need, yet ) Perhaps a google search can find an alternative.
Again, thanks for your response. Do you recommend for beginners.
Can this be done on acrylic?
Yes, sure... I cut acrylic all the time, so yup. The glue I use sticks to acrylic just fine.

Really well done video - thank you Paul! By any chance, would you be willing to share the puzzle generator that you made?

@@paulszudzik9588 Okay, thank you. Once again, a great set of videos!!! Thank you for all of your effort producing and sharing them!!!!
This is amazing!! Great little puzzle!! Are the files available for purchase?
Sorry....I thought about Open Sourcing the code...but nobody wants to help beta, so I shelved the project.
What puzzle creating software are you using? Thanks for sharing.
I wrote my own in Java.
Do you need to clean the edges for the smoke dirt too??? The laser cutter makes a mess like that too...
Yes, edges also
Could you list the tools and supplies used?
3M spray adhesive, laser, of course. 1/8" Masonite, Preserve It,, which is what I spray on my photos that I print. LightBurn software, my own software that I wrote to actually make the puzzle. J roller is optional, you could use a roller pin.
Thanks, what laser cutter?
Xm-1060 100 watt. But any 20 watt laser should be ok.
Can you buy your program for puzzles?

Which machine do you have or which laser

Yes, edges do need to be c le as ned as well
all the pieces are exactly the same shape???
No, they are not... the code allows for different shapes ( random )
Very cool. What a talent!

Sorry, I have more work piled up than I want to finish.
@@paulszudzik9588 no worries!

Nice video, thanks! Gonna search some puzzle generators.
I have learned that “Preserve It!” has been discontinued by Krylon.
Do you know of an alternate?
I do not, I bought a few cases a few years ago, still have some. Have NOT found an alternative ( No need, yet ) Perhaps a google search can find an alternative.
Yeah... Well... Who's hungry?
