When I was a little girl, my dad John Logan wrote a song called “Blink of an Eye,” recorded it, and had me sing on it. Decades later, I sing a bit better, and I re-wrote his song a bit. This is my tribute to the memory of my dad after his battle with pancreatic cancer. I wrote after finding out about his diagnoses, and I am releasing it now around the 1-year anniversary of his death. If you’ve been through something similar, I hope this song brings you comfort.

On the Not-So-Light side--My parents died in 2003, seven months apart. That was a very tough 19 months. I gained a lot of comfort from the 23rd Psalm. Especially verse 4. Maybe I’ll expound later.
I can say this-
The inquisitiveness which God has given that allows us to wonder what it’s like to be outside of Time, as He is-since Time is merely another of His creations.
Much wisdom can be gained….
Psalm 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Ecclesiastes 7:10-12
Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?”
For it is not from wisdom that you ask this. Wisdom is good with an inheritance,
an advantage to those who see the sun. For the protection of wisdom is like the protection of money,
and the advantage of knowledge is that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
