Toniutti is always winning something somewhere. With the flamboyance of N'gapeth and Grebennikov, and the aggressiveness of the younger stars like Chinenyenze, Louatti and Brizard, it is usually easy to overlook his impact in making France the volleyball powerhouse it has become over the last 10 years. Brilliant setter and leader. Total idol.
Weber not included in German NT when he is not injured is interesting to say the least
I haven't found any sources confirming this. I can imagine them not lining up Weber for the Olympics because you only get 12 picks but for the VNL it doesn't make sense since there is no cap on the amount of players.

I've only seen a few matches in Japan and a couple for the national team. It's pretty tough to get a full picture from those alone. But what I can definitely say is that he's a really positive guy and he's sure to bring some great vibes to his team)
He's been the 3rd guy for Japan for a while. He's not flashy but really solid and all-around, and still has a lot to grow. And as Nik said he's a good guy and brings good vibes to the team. He'll be a great sub for Milano. As a starter though he still needs to prove himself

benjamin toniutti is the absolute GOAT setter and no one will change my mind 😂
In terms of quality of sets he might be the best. You see Gianelli lose his head sometimes and make mistakes but you don't see Tonuitti do that. He's not really a strong server and as a shorter setter he will always be a weak point in the block. In terms of service Porro is setting a great example for short setters everywhere. The only setter in the Italian league that has more aces is Sbertolli. Even tho Porro is only 183 cm tall he has more aces than Brizard and Giannelli.

Great video as always! I like the little teaser you did at the start. Where did you read about the German team's VNL roster? Couldn't find anything about it through Google. Oh and the Japanese Opposite hitter Miyaura is pronounced Miya-Ura (most Japanese last names follow this two part structure (Taka-Hashi, Ishi-Kawa, Yama-Uchi etc)).

Regarding the pronunciation, that's how I heard it during the volleyball broadcasts)
@@TheBestSideofVolleyball yeah the English announcers often mispronounce Asian names. The middle blocker of Japan Yamauchi (pronounced Yama-Uchi) was called Ya-Mouchi by the commentators for like 3 VNLs before they got it right. You're far from the only one that got it wrong :).

On the other hand, Fornal, Huber, Toniutti and Mendez renewed their contract for one more season.

Such a terrible choice of Patry. He had a very unstable performance in Milan. I don't get why he didn't stay with Jastrzebski. Tonuitti really made him shine. Of course it's possible that they didn't offer him an extension but with how well they and he did this year I can't imagine that. I guess they offered him a raise in Turkey but I have doubts that this will help him develop as a player.
jw have already found the replacement for Gladyr, it will be Zaleszczyk from Trefl Gdańsk accompanied by Brehme from Modena
@@Lucalaurin Patry strongly wanted to stay in JW but the club officials made a deal with Kaczmarek 3 months after the league started. The time when Kaczmarek was still relatively fresh after successes with his NT as the main opposite.

Who would you choose?
I think it's difficult to argue with. Even tho he's only 21 he excels at every aspect of the game. He's not only an extremely dangerous attacker but a super strong blocker and server. He is also good at reception and defense.
Don't worry, it's just a meaningless award that a website invented and no one knows or pays attention to.
Michieletto is a great attacker, great server, good defender, lefty, 2.11..... is something rarely seen before , he is one of the best OH of the world at 22 years only, image in 2 or 3 years....who doubt Michieletto is better that change sport and start to see MotoGP or Formula 1 that are wonderful
