I love it too! I plan to use it so much more now that I have a better front element on it. Even though the lens was way too hazy I could still see the sharpness behind the haze. The QL17 legacy is true!
Nice reasoning on your choices, film is not about having it all or the best, its about having fun, having it your way! Cannot wait for the vids to follow! 🎉🎉🎉
Fun choices. But, if I may say as somebody with a couple Elan 7’s, 1N, and A2e that loves his 40mm 2.8, the last thing I would do would be to shoot extinct high speed highly desirable film with it. That film speed is begging to be shot at wide apertures. I would save it for something at least f1.8 or faster. It gives you such an opportunity to shoot color film in low light that you may never have again. For f2.8, you’ll need a flash for some of those lows but then it will be just as useful as Walmart 400 iso film. Id get the 50mm 1.8 (not much bigger than the 40 2.8) or use the 50mm 1.4. Or just whichever fast 50 you have. Anyway to each their own and congrats on getting such a cool film stock. Hope you enjoy it regardless. Edit: removed a random timestamp that got thrown in my comment oops.

Your voice is so relaxing! Interesting video ❤️
Excited for the results. And more Frankenstein cameras
If you need more film, glass key photo in San Francisco is the place to go. Photo plus does 1hr development and scans in San Francisco.
Thank you! I love hearing local recommendations!
