Hi Sam The labdanum, or "Esteva" as we call here in Portugal, is harvested between July and August, especially on very hot days, I pick it almost at the end of the day when the plants have more resin. Esteva has two types of aroma, at the factory they mix everything, but I make a tincture of the leaves and another just of the trunks and the smells are slightly different, the tincture of the trunks is more pleasant, the tincture of the leaves is greener. Of course, I only make small amounts because where I live the plants have dried and for my experiments in Perfumery it is enough, but it is good to know that the notes are different, the distillation of the leaves that gives the essence of Cistus is quite different, for me it is less pleasant than resin tinctures. Best regards
Really enjoying the videos. I discovered you on Clémence CC Fragrance. Although I don’t perform any of this chemistry, I find it to be very interesting!
Hello. I loved labdanum absolute and a want a monoscent perfume with it. I made already, and using... but in v.2.0, I would like to lift it up, to project, to open, to give it more brilliance. Do you sugest anything? In my mind, with the materials I have here, maybe a c12mna? Opoponax? Gabanum? Ambroxan? Iso E super? Dimetol? Linalol? Any sugestion, to counterbalance the "heaviness" of the labdanum absolut, without changing its aroma sooo much... thank you

hi sir, im dubai based i can not speak english very well neither writting but i wanted to start perfume making business, looking for a such good plateform, so sir do u make it more easiar such as suppose i want to 1kg muskrose accord simply which ingredients used and how much plz sir
I find it fascinating how the absolute differs from the essential oil. The cistus oil has a herbal/tea tree opening that i find similar to coca cola smell and has a much more ambery and animalic dry down. Do you know if the essential oil is used in todays perfumery at all ?
Do you think you could add a small amount off this too a CBD type hash/kief powder too improve the style texture n flavour off CBD hash...just an idea maybe you can't say but if we're too guess let me know ..cherrs mste

I would search on google for what you’re after since I don’t know much about premade perfume base oils

The essential oil is certainly used! I haven’t been lucky enough to get hold of some myself unfortunately. It sounds fantastic though
This is fantastic content thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!

You should ask him
Thank you sir
My pleasure
Francisco is clearly a male name, why do you keep referring to him as her?
