Interesting how when a women dates two men there’s this narrative that she is having her cake and eat it too. Women do this quite often without any negativity attached to it. I say they are all adults who are able to manage their feelings so good for them.
It's kind of a pet peeve of mine when people juxtapose polyamory with monogamy by saying that polyamory is good because you don't have to get everything you need from just one person. People in monogamous relationships shouldn't be getting "everything from one person"/"need one person to be everything." You shouldn't get all of your fulfillment from your romantic relationships, period. Work, friends, family, hobbies, time by yourself working on you, these are all important and require time and energy. Whether you are monogamous or polyamorous, it should be a given that your romantic/sexual relationships aren't everything. I entirely support people doing what works for them, but I just feel that that particular line of discourse is damaging.

This is probably the hardest thing, I mean for me poly= designing a relationship that works for you all. Sounds like you have it right cause it's working for you. I can see some issues with how this woman is doing it. New to poly people being the "secondary" partner, there's going to be a lot of pain or a lot of growth. But then I'm like, how do you involve someone new in a long term relationship and do it fairly? It has to evolve. I did not love this interview, the interviewer doesn't feel like they come with intention to showcase the poly community. To make it works takes more communication than any mono relationship will ever dive into, your jealousy, insurities and all of your wounds from the past will surface. If one is interested in going within to achieve externally you'll find major freedom from the skeletons in ones closest, thus those issues from the past no longer have a grip on your life. So it really depends on the outcome in life one is looking for. I choose to expand my consciousness vs let my past run my life
I tried poly for years. At one point, one of my partners told me he didn't want other partners and just wanted me. It made me re-think things. Saying to your partner "you can be with others too" doesn't justify the fact that they only love you and you dont only love them.

This is probably the hardest thing, I mean for me poly= designing a relationship that works for you all. Sounds like you have it right cause it's working for you. I can see some issues with how this woman is doing it. New to poly people being the "secondary" partner, there's going to be a lot of pain or a lot of growth. But then I'm like, how do you involve someone new in a long term relationship and do it fairly? It has to evolve.
I did not love this interview, the interviewer doesn't feel like they come with intention to showcase the poly community.
