Great job on the videos, I to breed zebras and gamebirds. I've also been a birdnerd my whole life. Looking forward to following along with you in this great hobby. Thanks Man
I use larger opening in my nest boxes. I also fill the nest with straw, I do not put any other nesting material in the cage. I know when they're getting ready to lay as they make a concave in the straw. I get eggs and chicks every time. The longest I wait for eggs is two weeks. It works every time!

@@venissahiti2840 you're welcome, I'm sure Chris will have plenty of good advice too. If the conditions are right for them they are free breeders meaning they won't have a set season in captivity, if it's warm enough and they have enough food supplies etc then they will undoubtedly try, just offer plenty of extra calcium sources/supplements for the hens egg production 👍
Great videos bro 😊, So i have a problem i have 10 pairs of zebras for 3 years and no babies are bred and i found out that its a cause of mice they kept destroying the eggs and the tiny babies. And im sad 😔 cause its a disaster.

Zebs will breed very quickly, they're like rabbits in Spring once they start. The issue will be stopping them. It's easily controlled though 👍

They will breed any time of the year , I’ve had the odd pair raising young in the middle of winter in a outside aviary.
@@gouldianuk9875 is it normal that they filled the nest with a lot of poop ?
Great videos bro 😊,

Yes mice can be a huge problem and raid the nests of birds. You will need to get rid of the mice for a better chance of getting babies.
