I have the 3500. It's been really good. One of the few things at Horror Fright that is good. First thing i did was to remove the spark arrestor. I kept it for use in Parks that require it however.
Or bypass/block off sensor pickup holes. Use common sense and don’t run it indoors. Pretty sad that some people need a complete nanny state to protect them.
Great video and super helpful. I just bought an older used 34 Foot Winnebago. The onboard ONAN Emerald Generator is loud and vibrates the rear bedroom. I’m debating on buying the Predator 5000 after watching your video. A big thanks from Montana
Here in Houston area, another storm that knocked out power. Texas needs to seriously rethink their energy grid. So, I am definitely in the market for a genny to run main fridge, minimal lights, charge electronics run a CPAP at night. Would this do that or should I step up a couple levels? Awesome video, thank you!
Like the detailed video you did on the generator. Did you purchase the warranty with it. They are having 20% off all Predator generators deal coming up. Really thinking about buying one.
Good video. Nice explanations of the unit and other technical matters. Watch where you place your mic. A couple times it sounded like it was muffled , which could be when you tipped you head downward. SIX QUARTS of oil??? In a small engine like this??
I was curious so I took a look. I'm afraid after my last purchase of a bench grinder from HF, which had glowing reviews and comment, I'll not trust any more HF video reviews, as that bench grinder was pure junk.
How bout turning on a refrigerator a small a/c and a TV all at the same Time that's what people want to see!!!!??? Jesus why else would drop a grand on that thing be realistic bro!!
Truthfully and common sensely speaking, have you ever done the fridge, ac and TV at your home? I'd think not, but "dropping a grand" that's change for a good duel fuel Genny! And dropping the grand is a cheap upgrade for rv use or any use for that, so when you need a Genny for the ac, fridge and TV, this is 1200 bucks cheaper than the Honda and has more power and believe it or not a better warranty! So there you go!
The quality of predator is actually underrated. Great video

What benefits removal of spark arrestor?
@@dandinhofer9240 it gets clogged up easily
@@dandinhofer9240nothing... literally nothing
@@dandinhofer9240 you dont have to worry about cleaning it.
Some of the shutdown problems that have been mentioned in other videos may have to do with the CO sensor. Need to place in fairly unconfined areas.

One of the better unboxing videos. Great job

I’m using a 3500 Honda one for a fridge , some lights even a tv , I don’t know if the 5000 is more or maybe the same
The 5000 could easily handle that stuff. If it can run our whole rv and barely idle up you’ll be fine
@@TexasYoungGuns thank you.
Great review and setup. Thank you.

Thank you! for the. Video 😊 the eco mode can I keep that on it no
When will you change your Tri Fuel to an Inverter
I literally just bought this generator and need to know if I have to connect a ground rod to it? I'm only using it as a backup charger for my bluetti
You shouldn't have to
Thanks pal

0.6 quarts lol. You are right the mic was too close to my throat
You mentioned this Is your 3rd harbor freight generator, how long did the others last
They were all working great! I just kept changing my mind on what I wanted lol
if it had 240 i would seriously consider it
I wish it did that would be the icing on the cake!
Good review
thanks

HF power tools are definitely risky but the gennys are good in my experience
can it run a small welding machine chicago electric 125 flux
How easy is it to drain the gas tank prior to storage?
Just bought this Gen. It says you can turn fuel selector to storage and let it run out of gas
seems like a great review, but man, it is really hard to understand you. must be a bad mic or where you hold the phone?
I was at my local Harbor Freight the other day and they said for some reason “she didn’t seem to know” they pulled all the propane ones off the shelf.
I've gone to two different harbor freights now and they were both still selling the 5000's so I don't think there is any truth to that
Need a break in period before even plugging in things. Its just for the longevity of it
The sacrifice for the viewers
@@TexasYoungGuns just make sure ya change the oil 2 or 3 times the first 3 or 4 hrs of operation if ya can

My 2000 runs that 😂
It ran a large window unit and fridge no problems
