satchel and page vs. beckett simonon, which is better value?
Also really interested in this. Beckett Simonon is just about half the price so was wondering whether S&P was worth its cost relative to BS

I don't travel often but my birthday is next month and I'm planning a January trip to Scotland so I might have to splurge. That leather looks so nice! Also need to find a good hiking boot.
Bring a great rain jacket to Scotland! As too boots, Thursday Boots Explorer are a pair I loved using and reviewing when it comes to all kinds of adventures. I tested then in Iceland winter and if they can survive that, I think they'll be able survive your Scotland Adventure.😉

Nice review. I recommend you try Cravar bags. I just got one from them and I'm super impressed with it. You probably don't need another bag, but if you're looking for another brand to check out/review, that's a good one.
Almost, literally, exactly! 😝 I like your old bag, the leather looks softer. Is that from use? I also like that color better, but I imagine you can get a new 1 in whatever color you like.❤💋

I also have the Davis (I don't think that's the Domingo model, I'm pretty sure it's the Davis) and the backpack. I'm not a huge fan of the pebbled leather (just yet) but that's just me, nothing wrong with the bag. I REALLY enjoy the leather on the backpack!

@@olamideolayinka4130 It's still a pretty good bag for the money and if your have a $300 budget I'd still get it. I've since upgraded to a Satchel & Page Gladstone and that's my new go-to weekender.

Would you recommend the full grain leather in black or pebbled leather to hide scuffs? Or does scuffs not show that much in black?
Thank you! For a 2-4 day trip with both a suit, some semi-formal, and casual clothes and a pair of shoes what size is optimal in your opinion the Davis or Domingo and do they both fit in overhead compartments or have you been hassled for the Domingo?

I know it’s a higher price but I prefer satchel and Paige because of their vintage style with top quality leather
The newer construction on the Domingo looks much better and cleaner. You should see the beautiful buffalo leather weekender/duffle I had custom made in Vietnam for ~$70.

How do you handle the "see through" of white shirts? Do you wear under shirts or not?
No under shirts. I avoid shirts that the fabric is too thin. Tends to be a problem with cheap dress shirts
