Therefore, when I say that being well put-together and making the effort to be so is a quality I find attractive in men, I often have colleagues and friends of friends assume that I mean a high-fashion, ultra-in, suit-wearing upper-class man. Good morning gentlemen. Since todays ' subject is about taking care of leather I thought I would share a tip. Last week when I was detailing my car interior I noticed that I had some scratches on the back of my drivers seat from where I get in and out. So I used some of my Saphir black shoe cream on it and BOOM scratches gone. Plus it left a nice shine. New slogan :" Saphir shoe cream. Not just for shoes anymore." ;) Always eagerly awaiting new videos. BTW todays video quality and audio were great. New equipment? :)
If you check a bag on an airline just once, it will look like crap. Just once. If you can carry on, it might be OK, but make sure it never leaves your hand. PS Trenton, Thanks for reminding me, I want my bag back.
Mike Crooks Totally agree. I never check my overnight bag, as they’re generally much smaller than typical luggage and are made primarily for a 1-2 day trip max. I’ve taken mine on many, many trips (both flying & driving), and I love it.
I'm all for "the gentleman look" myself, but for the love of all that is righteous on this earth, you must stop galivanting around without socks on. I don't want to hear that he is wearing socks, but they're designed to be hidden....that's the problem!! Greetings from the other side of Nashville! Good review. Carl’s leather isn’t for me though. I’ve narrowed my weekender choices to three that also sort into three tiers: Satchel & Page, Coronado, and Frank Clegg. I’d love to hear your opinions on these if you have any.
Frank Clegg is completely next level. I have one of their large totes and now coming up on year 10. Nothing, except scars of time that add a unique look to the bag. I didn’t ever clean it till recently. Use it as a briefcase and as a camera bag. I will recommend the brand any day. The quality of the leather, simplicity of design, and extremely high construction quality. Frank is such an OG on top of that. I interviewed him once. If you wanna read it, on Om.co
Om Malik Yeah they go all out. They are very fickle about sourcing their leather which mostly comes from Germany. Not too thick but good texture and tinsel strength. No denying their quality. I just always wondered if the value for the price is there compared to the others I mentioned.
The side by side positioning while presenting is much better than when you are staggered front to back with Heath behind Trenton’s ear... like the studio also!
While traveling for business or pleasure, you will be taken more seriously with a nice leather or canvas overnight or weekend bag. Don't misrepresent yourself.

Hi! Usually, I probably wouldn’t have seen it, but it happened to pop up while I was on the computer. 😉 Unfortunately, I’m not sure, as I personally haven’t seen the other two bags. I do use this exact CF bag as my daily laptop bag to and from the shop, and I’ve really liked it. Very nice leather, high quality zipper. Not a huge opening, but it functions well if you’re just transporting a laptop, files, etc.

I haven’t been hearing good stories about Saddleback in recent years. They started to source for cheaper leather and using the full skins even if parts have rather gnarly imperfections. If you can get one made maybe five years ago or longer, that would be better. They’re leather quality was top notch back then.
As clean as I think having one of these would be, I need a bag for air travel. I'm one of those guys who uses my backpack for Frontier and Spirit airlines. I'm trying to cram as much stuff in as possible and have it still fit inside the metal bin thing. I'm certain there's a niche for that.
Talking about man bags. i got me a tradesmen gladstone off fb marketplace. its quite brittle in parts from use. i want to rejuvenate it so at least i can use it semi daily. it also has a check lining and flimsy chrome/brass fittings. ive used my howards leather stuff on it but its thirsty, ithink it had a rough life.

I came across your channel because of my appreciation for good quality leather goods. The addition of leather care for bags is of course appreciated! I’m a sucker for good leather conditioner but haven’t found a fave yet (requirements are one without silicone, petroleum distillates and does not leave a slippery/slick surface. I prefer leather “hand” with a bit of drag from a waxy, buttery feel maybe? High quality full grain leather does not feel slippery or plasticky (I hate thick acrylic coated leather!) Perhaps in the future you could do a video of conditioners reviews 😬. Btw, glad Heath shaved off that distracting beard. Ha! (no offense intended). And who’s your hired dark shaded model carrying the beautiful cognac duffle overnight bag? LOL.

Both are GREAT. Nappa can be used on any leather where Renovateur I would stick to calfskin.
I wish there was more high end classy stuff made with more ethical materials. I don't want to look trashy but I also don't want to use animal skin.
Odddit ..Jeesh...Most of the leather comes from cows slaughtered for food.......exotics are generally farm raised..........does that pass muster...

Great information! Here's a question. What products would you recommend for leather jackets, furniture, and even car interiors? I'm thinking they all may have different chemically manufactured properties for their care and longevity.

I like the Universal or the MDO leather lotion.
What about Beckett simonon bags? Like their weekender, it is same quality as brand mention but is still about half the price with their buissness model.
