Bravo, well done! I really enjoyed your take on this fragrance from Creed. Indeed a perfect description of a charming and elegant gentleman's fragrance. Welcome to the RUclips fragrance community. Cheers and Fabulous!
I got turned on to combining/layering fragrance when I discovered Jo Malone a couple years ago. I loved Spice & Wood, but its longevity and projection was poor on my skin. I wanted to figure a way to wear and enjoy it. Layering it with Aventus was the answer! Give it a try. I spray Aventus on first, being the heavier scent, then Spice & Wood over it.
+qy05 Thanks :) I personally wouldn't spend the money on spice and wood if I had to layer it with something else to make it last.. I'd rather just wear Aventus on it's own, I think in general now, Aventus is the only Creed I would buy
+FragranceView I agree. There are too many awesome fragrances out there to spend 745$ on 1 bottle. I loved the scent combo though, so I purchased a handful of sample vials off eBay. Honestly, the sample vials are more than enough. I wear such a variety of fragrances that it will take a few years just to get through them. A full bottle would be way too much in quantity. On another note, I had a few suggestions you may want to try, if you haven't already. Bois d'encens by Armani Prive, Vetiver Geranium by Creed, Cedre Blanc by Creed, Oud by Francis Kurkdjian and Wood Sage & Sea Salt layered with Oud & Bergamot, both by Jo Malone.
Excellent review, well done! I hope to see many more reviews from you. By the way, what is that piece of music playing in the background? it sound really cool.
I literally only smell super soft apple, creamy woods, oakmoss and musk on me. I don't get much spice. It vaguely reminds me of Aventus in the heart because of the creamy woods, but I'd rather wear Aventus.
Well probably not as good, it's synthetic sandalwood which doesn't really smell as good to me anymore, I poured a load of genuine real Mysore Sandalwood in to my bottle to try and make it better.
I don't know what it is about Spice and Wood, but every time I wear this, I think of pirates. It's probably my association between pepper and wood and black gunpowder, heh. I definitely agree that it's a classy, mature scent even though there's nothing about pirates that evokes that kind of classiness. I dunno. For me this is something that Captain Jack Sparrow would wear, and I enjoy it for that reason, but in my mind, there's absolutely nothing subdued about this fragrance. But I completely agree that, for a man, it's probably the best of the Royal Exclusives line, and I think it is particularly well-suited for fall or winter wear.
***** You are definitely correct. But it totally works for a fantasy world suave, debonaire pirate like Kilian (Hook) in Once Upon a Time or Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Carribean, heh. Actually pirates probably smelled like filthy bilge-water, so I reckon Secretions Magnifiques by Etat Libre D'Orange would fit the bill, lol.
Smells great for the fist hour, you smell the silky blended, quality ingredients, and notice a few note transitions. I can't see anyone to young playing the part of this, as it does have a bit of slightly, soapy, older mans cologne vibe to it. The price is atrocious. What I smell when I dig my nose in, is probably much nicer than what the people around you might smell of it. Conclusion exceedingly interesting smell for the first 41 minutes, then it kinda just becomes a bit of nice diluted, odor of not to much in particular. Compared to some other strong colognes this will seem to become a skin scent by the 2 hour mark although not really so, as others will still know that you are wearing some kind a cologne smell. A honey moon event type choice, quite possibly, as the best of this scent is early on and short lived.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try to check those out! :)
I did the same, by accident I layered Aventus on Virgin Island water...awesome
Thanks for describing me in your review.
Great review. I just got my nose on this one for the first time today. I'll definitely have to review it eventually.

Strange how things can smell differently on different people ..
Hi Peter, You Loved by Kilian Sacred Wood. Where do stand now?

I'd say it's too smooth for a pirate.. a pirate would need something a little dirty and skanky and really woody

Got A 1ML sample in 2015 which was AMAZING, today I got a 75ml tester and it suuucks. Seems toned down aka diluted.
That's a shame...
I have 250 flacon 2017 batch, and lasts 14-15hrs everytime i wear it!!!
Good channel...sub'ed
Thanks, this is quite an old review I filmed when I started a year ago

Why does it look like you're doing this review in the music room at hogwarts
