Thanks, I tried the sauce and it turned out really great! I did improvise by adding Rum soaked Golden raisins to be used on my bread pudding! Simple ,fast and delicious!

Yes, in an air tight container.... My Mom always said that is should be made ahead so it tasted better... You probably already figured this out... Posting comment in case others viewing at a later date would see the reply... :)
