    Slate Digital Mic now requires a subscription to use mic models, there's no redeem code in the box anymore. That's why the cost is that low. So be careful!

    Great video, thanks for the reviews! Would you say that the condenser mics under 200USD are good for rooms with some background noise (fridge, TV from another room, neighbours shouting and stomping) or dynamic mics are better for that? And is there one you'd recommend over a condenser, like the MV7X or Shure SM58/Beta58 for a contralto?

    • @EdwardSmithMusic
      @EdwardSmithMusic  4 часа назад

      A condenser mic will always be better because of the clarity. Just record vocals when the neighbors aren’t home or sleeping 😂 otherwise, if it’s really noisy… and sm58 will do just fine 💪🏻

    Can we get a review on the new SM4 maybe vs the AT2035? Also, maybe some of the mic modelers like the Sphere DLX and the SC-1? Those would be great vids.

    Hello brother :) hope you are doing good ! I’m struck to make a right choice of microphone for recording vocals at home but it’s not treated !
    I have seen finneas recording vocals via tlm 103 hand held in untreated room and in an interview I have seen him telling it’s his go to travel mic !
    What would you recommend me tlm 103 or Lauten ls 208
    Brother will tlm pretty tough in my situation or should I go with 208
    Your suggestion will be much appreciated

      The TLM 103 is a great microphone for vocals. You can’t go wrong with it 🫡

    Which is better, the Pure Tube or the WA 8000?

    • @EdwardSmithMusic
      @EdwardSmithMusic  10 дней назад +2

      @@stuntwarrior2243 They sound very different. If you are looking for a warmer sound, I would go with the Lewitt. If you want a brighter sound, the WA-8000. Both mics are good, they just sound different.

      The wa8000 is goated and it's not as thin sounding as people say. the Atlantis is A LOT thinner sounding than the 8000 I've never used the pure tho

    I am set on buying the TLM 102 to have a Nuemanm in my studio, but I am debating whether I should get the Lewit LCT 640 TS. Is the Lewit quality that much better, or is the difference not big enough to the point where either is a good choice?

    • @EdwardSmithMusic
      @EdwardSmithMusic  9 дней назад +1

      If you really want a Neumann, get the TLM 102… if you want the better microphone between the two, the LCT 640 is quite a step up to be honest.

      I’m not sure if the price changed or I maybe messed this one up, but I know the discount is $300 off. I think that’s why I said it was almost 50% off. It is still under the $400 price tag which still makes it the best deal this Black Friday… not as good as I showcased, but good nonetheless… apologies for that btw 😓

    • @ehdforlife
      @ehdforlife 10 дней назад +2

      @EdwardSmithMusic No worries. I noticed your starting price was $599 and there's is $699. So, for some reason there is where the extra $100 comes in. $299 was a steal.

  • @rey_nafe

      I saw that as well. Not sure if it changed or I messed this one up... but at least it's $300 off still (as mentioned in the video)... but yeah, $299 would be better lol
