Just did my first day of driving yesterday from 12pm-4pm. My first order was a batched order and my second order was a fairly big order. It was very easy, went to the curbside pickup, swiped I had arrived, popped my trunk, they loaded it, then I delivered the groceries. My second order was a bit of a more tricky order since it was at a trailer home lot and drove around looking for the right number on the house. But so far, I like it!. It's easy, I spend most of my time alone in my car or at home waiting on an order, pay is good, plus tips. Best decision I made to be a part of the Spark Drivers
Yes trailer parks are so difficult whenever they don’t write anything useful in the notes! But glad it worked out. But I’m glad you like it! Honestly, it’s not all that hard but I would be lying if I said that I haven’t had some complications but I still like it!
I've just started anticipating my very first delivery. Signed up being a Spark driver recently. Yea, it appears easy and the incentive of flexibility is a plus. Hope your driving doing deliveries goes well reasonable prosperity included.
Thank you this was very helpful haven't started yet but will soon and thanks keep videos coming they are helpful to people like me😁😁and congrats on your first day
Started Sunday made $34 my 1st day, it was two orders in one trip, was getting annoyed at first cause I had to wait over an hour for Walmart to confirm the customers order but had faith in it and made an extra 4 bucks for extra effort
Hey Marisela, I moved down here from Washington, DC to Muscle Shoals, Alabama and I wanted to do something other than Uber or Door Dash so I signed up for Spark and Wednesday was my first day. I completed 2 in-store deliveries for about $51.00 in Florence, Alabama and the process was pretty cool. I work full-time at a plant 5pm to almost 5am so I could only do a few hours during the day. So today ( Saturday ) I decided to go out and do Spark around 1:30pm in Florence and it was the worst experience. I received a batch order for 2 deliveries and I sat in the pickup spot for 3 hours waiting. I had to call Walmart support which the person stated that it took 2 1/2 hours to prepare the order because the Walmart is short staffed and the other 30 minutes they didn't know I was at the reserved spot even though I status myself there 3 hours ago. Those 3 hours really wasted my time. Would you had just cancelled the order instead of waiting?
Hi there! I am sorry you went through that but unfortunately, that happens so much with spark and it's annoying. The most I have waited was an hour and only an hour. It also depends if I am busy or not. But when I wait for a long time I do cancel the orders because I am not obligated to wait there. But if you do wait spark pays you more for that order for me it has been typically $10+. But I only typically wait long on Sundays because I am free and have time to waste. But yes, I would have canceled it in my opinion. Also, I would suggest calling the store even if you reserve on the app. The whole reservation on the app is a new thing and before that, we had to call and I would make sure they know I am at the store. I have on and off with spark and just started doing deliveries again yesterday and I waited there for 15min and they came to my car and said they weren't sure if I was there. But after that, I reserve and then call just to make sure.
I did four gigs for Spark and didn’t get paid a dime. They put out orders but they don’t have them when you get there. But it will take an hour before they cancel it AFTER you drive to Walmart. They changed one order from two drops to eleven drops after I got there at the same pay. Fuck Spark!!
I have done this for a week, part time and made around $700.00 It's busy in my area. I don't accept the orders that have like 8, 10, or even 12 different small deliveries, but get them frequently. I don't think I would want to keep up with delivering the right order to the right house/apartment/etc. I know each order has a sticker on the walmart containers, and I usually get one from the their basket, but how do you keep up with this without looking in each bag and matching it against the items list on Spark?
I applied for the Walmart Spark, currently I am waiting on a waitlist for approval, I applied like 2 weeks ago so I'm hoping I wont have to wait to long before I can start.
Been doing Spark for months now, but watching this reminded me of my first week. It takes a week to figure out the ins and outs of it all but after that, it's easy.
Maybe, this driving stuff can only go a long way. I no longer do it honestly. But it was nice while it lasted. Sometimes there’s bugs so just don’t give up yet maybe.
Hi! My name is Marisela, also I do try to drive for spark when I can I took some time off back in September and it messed up my metrics, and don't really get many offers like I used to. Also, I only ever drove for spark nothing else.
There’s a base price and also an “extra effort” combined. It varies from order because some orders are small or large but I’ve only had one order that was almost a 20 mile drive and I got $40 and technically it was $60 because people tip good where I live. But you do have the options to accept or reject if the price is not to your liking. Typically when no one takes an order they start to raise the price up because they know $$$ will make a person accept it.
Thanks for posting. I'm a new spark driver. I haven't gotten any orders offers yet, so I figured I watch some videos of others experiences, so I know what to expect. Lol. One thing I was curious is if the customer HAS to sign on your phone for a delivery that's not marked as a no contact order? Or if you can just draw a line and that be acceptable? You know since we're in the middle of a pandemic..I'd prefer as little contact as possible. Have you had any issues with this?
That’s how it was for me for a few days and they eventually kicked in, I did the same and looked at videos haha. Also, It’s no contact at all! So when it comes to signing you just put a line and you’re ready to go. The only thing is that when it comes to having an order with alcohol (which will be stated before you accept an order) you will need their ID to confirm age but that’s about it.
Middle of a pandemic still in a pandemic...and if you don't realize by now this is what we will talk about until eternity...you life will be dictated by how we feel about a pandemic.
I’m honestly not sure about that one. I typically call the customer to confirm if it’s okay to just drop the order off even if they’re not home and they say yes all the time. I’m not sure if there’s a button for that 😅

Yes! It really sucks.. I’ve seen videos where some delivery drivers have a portable cart that helps them a lot when delivering to apartments or in general do you don’t continue making a lot of trips !
Start lifting weights if you have time. Nothing heavy tho. Stick to compound exercises that work multiple muscles groups at the same time. Trust me it will definitely help
Yeah I went to a big house yesterday. The stairs is almost as tall as my garage door. In the apartments I only have to climb to the second floor. Thank God. Lol
Spark will run you all over town and not pay you a dime. Even if you actually pick up a delivery (not likely, 4 out of 4 not there), they can, and will, reduce the pay by taking away the tip.
I just got an email saying my application been approved. Then it says i will receive spark app whenever theirs driver needed. Did that happen to you too? Is pretty much saying that theirs no openings right now. Or maybe is just the process. Thanks
Yes, I received an email like that, but it also said that they would contact me within 1-5 days and it only took a day! After that you’ll receive an email regarding the zone you applied for and a link for the app and you will be provided with passwords etc.
Yes! The other day I was delivering to a university (the dorms) and a mom had ordered her daughter groceries. I called and waited and she never came out. Got the option to “cannot deliver” and it ask why and then it tells you to go back to Walmart to drop them off. You still get paid for the trip as well!
Are you from Huntsville,AL? Noticed on a screenshot you put up there were Huntsville street address’s. I didn’t know they did Walmart delivery(spark) around here?(im from Madison) I might have to look into that! I do instacart and ubereats right now.
The screenshots I used were from the spark app, they have them for examples as well! I’m located in central Florida. But if you’re curious if your Walmart does this you can always go to this link: www.drive4spark.com/open-markets and it will show you :).
i live just south of Huntsville and yes we have spark. i do uberx on the side and figured i would try this. i signed up today and was approved. i start tomorrow. they have me running out of 2 Walmarts, Hampton cove and Sparkman dr.
Thanks for sharing... i am old and broke currently and i signed up for uber eats...still have not done it...this seems better to me... did you do food apps at all? or is this your first try at it?? if so can you make as much or more after fuel costs... thanks again for you video...
Glad my video was helpful! I did not try any other food/delivery apps prior to this, it was my first time and I really enjoy it! Very simple and straightforward and barely interact with people which is a plus for me. Also, with money wise highest check I’ve gotten was around 700$ and I maybe use about $60 for gas a week. So it just truly depends on your vehicle and you.
Hey girl so what state are you doing this in? Also I believe above it showed those orders addresses of thee ppl u delivered to along with the guys name on the 2nd page Albert i think, just a heads up don’t want chu to get in trouble but what state do you do this in so i can get a better idea of how much based off the area, i am a new driver for spark so I can’t wait to start

Oh of course! I’m in college too and trying to enlist into the military as well, and it’s been a great help. You can work when you want and be your own boss. Easy to maintain and flexible to your liking.
Best to rent a car so as yours don't break down and use AAA or some discount to get the rental just don't tell them you using it for this job... also, you can cover rental cars with your insurance.... I did this for 3 years and you can get paid but be careful.... LOL
subbed, thinking about doing it too.. how long did it take them to get in contact with you after you apply? it said 3 to 7 days in the email i got. Edit: also apply for instacart the same day(a week ago) the debit card came yesterday tried it out today and I made $68.20 not too bad for the first day.
I applied December 15,2020 and told me the same thing 3-7 days I’d be contacted back! I then got an email December 23 with an update saying it would take 1-5 business days to receive the Spark Delivery app credentials. I then got an email on December 24 (next day) with my credentials for the app ! So it only took a few weeks after I had applied !
@@elbauer8083 how do I chose a different zone or ??? Because if you’re referring to how I change zones with the new update you will see “my zone” option on the more that’s on the right side when you open the app and you click the search icon and then displays all the zones near you and you just click and that’s it!
@@elbauer8083 yes. I say that in my video. Not sure how the application set up is now. They keep making updates to this whole thing. But just search “Walmart spark driver” and it should pop up and leads you yo the application.
In store pick up you just have to go inside instead of just parking and waiting for someone to load your car. You can either park in the parking lot reserved for curbside or just park where regular customers park. Once you do so, you go into the store and on the spark app it gives you details on where to go! Typically you’ll see someone standing near the orange tower (as I showed in my video) and you just confirm who’s order you’re there to pick up and you just make your way back to your car! I’ve been meaning to make a video on showing how to do in store pick ups because it does sound a bit complicated but it’s not :)!
Honestly it just depends on the person if it’s actually worth it or not. But for me it’s worth because I struggled on finding a job since I’ve been unemployed for the longest. It also works with my schedule with being a college student because you’re your own “boss” and you set your schedule however you want to!
@@mariselakapps How long does it take to get started??? It’s been 3 weeks since I submitted my app and required docs. I haven’t heard anything back yet.

I honestly don’t think you can. A month ago a few drivers got in trouble for having animals/children in their vehicles and I was told that the car had to be empty and clean for deliveries. But I’m not sure if it’d be different for a helper.
@@ivimonti2271 no problem! Sorry I didn’t have an accurate response for you. But I did look it up and I found a similar question on the FAQ (it was 9th question that was asked) www.drive4spark.com/faqs < the link. So technically you can as long as it doesn’t get in the way of the groceries in the vehicle! I see why not.
Well I wake up every morning at 6am and about 6:20-30 spark releases some orders but not a lot. But honestly it’s 8am when I start to notice that they release orders for the “day” because there’s also “express” deliveries that come out the blue and only give people about 30 min notice until they have to pick it up. It’s very different every day.
How soon after you applied and filled out everything did you get the return email for when you can start driving? I applied pretty recently and am ready to start driving for Spark. The email said 3 to 7 business days. I applied I believe last Thursday.
It took me a week until I got accepted for driving and I also got sent links to download the app so I can start receiving orders ! Check to see if maybe the emails were sent to spam some people had this issue as well!
I applied on January 26, on 2/17 it said it was approved. Then on 2/22 they finally send me the log in info to get started. So 1 month total for me. They said there wasn’t a need when I first applied.

Stupid People that know nothing about Delivery. Only want to deactivate you over nothing for customer issues and problems. I did nothing wrong and they deactivated me.
the deactivated thing happen to me as well, and ask the spark team why? but they still wont tell me
I really like it except for apartments. So hard to being up 30-50 times up stairs 😬
Yes! It really sucks.. I’ve seen videos where some delivery drivers have a portable cart that helps them a lot when delivering to apartments or in general do you don’t continue making a lot of trips !
get a collapsible shopping cart from Amazon
Start lifting weights if you have time. Nothing heavy tho. Stick to compound exercises that work multiple muscles groups at the same time. Trust me it will definitely help
@@bamabiker I actually did get one also changed my zone to less apartments a big help!
Yes! This happened to me too! It took a month to actually start.
So like do u have the option to not deliver groceries?
Yes! The other day I was delivering to a university (the dorms) and a mom had ordered her daughter groceries. I called and waited and she never came out. Got the option to “cannot deliver” and it ask why and then it tells you to go back to Walmart to drop them off. You still get paid for the trip as well!
When does the money actually transfer to your account?
Every Friday!
@@bamabiker cool man! Let me know how it goes!
Thanks so much #Prinetechs i really love and appreciate your good deed
God bless you
Hey girl so what state are you doing this in? Also I believe above it showed those orders addresses of thee ppl u delivered to along with the guys name on the 2nd page Albert i think, just a heads up don’t want chu to get in trouble but what state do you do this in so i can get a better idea of how much based off the area, i am a new driver for spark so I can’t wait to start
The photos I used for this video are the ones that are on the Spark website as examples. The only ones that were actually mine are the ones where I showed how much I ended up making. Also, I am located in Central Florida
@@mariselakapps ohh ok so the one that says the gentleman name “Alberto M” wasn’t really your customer it was an sample from off Spark initially then? & ohh ok Florida is pretty popular here where I am spark is popping but not as much as the bigger areas sadly :/
Pack your lunch friend. I do instacart and pack my own lunch every day. It will save you time and money
Ofc! I pack myself snacks and food for the ride whenever I do this all day! In the video I was trying this new place that opened up and that’s why I mentioned it hahah
so im currently a college student, will this be a good side hustle ?
Oh of course! I’m in college too and trying to enlist into the military as well, and it’s been a great help. You can work when you want and be your own boss. Easy to maintain and flexible to your liking.
@@mariselakapps will def. try it out then, thanks 👍🏽
How much do you make with this app??
Best to rent a car so as yours don't break down and use AAA or some discount to get the rental just don't tell them you using it for this job... also, you can cover rental cars with your insurance.... I did this for 3 years and you can get paid but be careful.... LOL
Is there deliverys made at night??
No, apparently there use to be but from December till now I have never had a delivery late at night. Offers end at 8pm.
subbed, thinking about doing it too.. how long did it take them to get in contact with you after you apply? it said 3 to 7 days in the email i got.
So it only took a few weeks after I had applied !
i was approved same day i applied......which was today actually lol
@@mariselakapps oh ok preciate it
@@bamabiker damn that’s good
Do u pick up at the same Walmart
Yes! I have the option now to select different zones now with the new update on Spark but I chose not to.
@@mariselakapps how do u do it.
@@elbauer8083 how do I chose a different zone or ??? Because if you’re referring to how I change zones with the new update you will see “my zone” option on the more that’s on the right side when you open the app and you click the search icon and then displays all the zones near you and you just click and that’s it!
@@mariselakapps but I have to sign up first
@@elbauer8083 yes. I say that in my video. Not sure how the application set up is now. They keep making updates to this whole thing. But just search “Walmart spark driver” and it should pop up and leads you yo the application.
they really should pay you for training us
How do you do the in store pick up?
In store pick up you just have to go inside instead of just parking and waiting for someone to load your car. You can either park in the parking lot reserved for curbside or just park where regular customers park. Once you do so, you go into the store and on the spark app it gives you details on where to go! Typically you’ll see someone standing near the orange tower (as I showed in my video) and you just confirm who’s order you’re there to pick up and you just make your way back to your car! I’ve been meaning to make a video on showing how to do in store pick ups because it does sound a bit complicated but it’s not :)!
Have you tried Amazon flex?
No sir, just doing this until I leave to the military. Haven’t explored any other gigs that are similar to this.
Amazon flex ain't bad at all can easily make 150+ well at least here in texas
How do apply
drive4spark.walmart.com/Join%20Spark%20Driver just go to this link, look for which state you're wanting to work in and you begin your application!
My best batch using the bot I got from gigwhiz with the best order was a $400 costco which ended up being around $320 after refunds..
On iG
Is it better than urber eats?
I’m not sure, I’ve never tried uber eats
Thinking about doing it is it worth it
Honestly it just depends on the person if it’s actually worth it or not. But for me it’s worth because I struggled on finding a job since I’ve been unemployed for the longest. It also works with my schedule with being a college student because you’re your own “boss” and you set your schedule however you want to!
Yea i jua started doing uber eats part time nd really like it so thanks for the info 💯

Yes that’s perfectly fine! It’s 18+!
Is this available in California? First time hearing about it.
Unfortunately, last time I checked it was not.
Can you deliver for Spark and doordash at the same time?
you can work for 10 different ones as far as i know...its up to you
I honestly do not know, but I’m sure it’s up to you! I only deliver for spark.
@@mariselakapps How long does it take to get started??? It’s been 3 weeks since I submitted my app and required docs. I haven’t heard anything back yet.
@@coolchris3042 Well I was all set within 2-3 weeks ! It may depend where you live and how high demand is for spark drivers in that area! Maybe try emailing them for an update on your application or if they ever received it ?
@@mariselakapps Ok I’ll do that. Thx
Great video Thanks ❤
Thank you ! ☺️
Hola Buenos dias primer dia que veo tu informacio y Como puedo aplicar ?
Can you bring a helper?
I honestly don’t think you can. A month ago a few drivers got in trouble for having animals/children in their vehicles and I was told that the car had to be empty and clean for deliveries. But I’m not sure if it’d be different for a helper.
@@mariselakappsThank you.
@@mariselakapps okay, awesome I'll check it out.
@@ivimonti2271 no problem, good luck !
Do you know when Spark starts releasing orders for the day, like Point Pickup starts releasing theirs at 6AM?
What year car do you need?
You don’t need a specific model or year car! Seen drivers around my area drive old jeeps, lifted new trucks, small sedans!
Thanks
Thanx 4 ur service, and of course the video. Just signed up, hope to make a little extra to support Soc Sec and pension.
Wish you the best !
Great video 💯
Order for “Jadot”?! Didn’t know my name is 😎!!! Be safe!!
Keep it low key!!!!!
Thank you
When do they pay you?
Every Friday
@@mariselakapps when you first start, do you have to wait two weeks to get paid?
Im Thinking about it ..can you make 200 a day????
It honestly just depends the zone (city) you work for! I’ve seen people say they can make that within a day or two.
Easily. Even more with the special bonus they offer daily.
thank you for sharing :)
Great Job!
Most jobs are automated these days so if you have a job, you got in before the major overhaul of automated processes that take humans out of the process of hiring you, you on of the lucky ones. An algo see if you a good fit for the "culture" of that company.... they ask race, gender, and ability (as in disabled or not) but there's more they ask as you have to sing up for many sites to do an application.... they then don't give you a job and don't send you information back.... if they do send you an update they state you have a limit that was not listed in the application... they did this automation thing because the govt, old bastards they are and morons if they young tools, don't ask for those algos and don't verify the processes are a reality on these sites.... discrimination is baked into the job hiring process now more so than in the past.... also taking out the human element means less likely someone tells you the truth about the real reason you aren't hired ..... too black or ethnic for the job is a thing once again.... We living in a voted for by fools US today and I warned about it before Biden and Obama and then them being the reason for a Trump.....yet those idiots still voted for the worst people to be the head of fed and that would trickle down to the states and local govt.... so now I just don't vote because its stupid and a waste of time when the shear number of idiots vote for the same trash just because they doing great within life they give credit to that success to the trolls in govt that will be their demise later..... LOL
Ha why does everyone use john doe when I got a new phone I put john doe instead of my real name
