I despair almost every time I record myself because I don't find my voice beautiful at all, even if I hit the right notes. 😕 And if that's the voice that other people hear, I think it doesn't sound nice when I sing. Is it just in my head or can a voice sound weird? 😶

  • @kaylasmusic

In my experience, I find that a lot of pitch issues usually have to do with other technical issues and overthinking yourself when it comes to it.. (I have perfect pitch apparently so I know, however that’s beside the point) I think It rarely ever actually has to do with ones ear,.. and if someone has never done music before, it of course does take time to learn and understand it, but i think most people really can relate pitch easily,.. vocal technique and pitch perception are just separate things, but you just need to learn to understand and combine the two,.. I usually could always tell immediately on my own and notice every single mistake I make,.. its also important to know that (even if it seems annoying at first), you must always always ALWAYS record yourself and learn from it,. It may seem weird at first but you will het used to hearing your voice and it will be a lot easier to understand and analyze!

And I thought I might be actually very talented singer because of the progress I made. I also hit notes and the flow of the song I love to sing to ( so I think). But when I recorded my self today it sounded awful and it soundedlike I have some sort of accent in every language and kinda muffled. So I wanted to ask what can be the reasons why I sound so awful. Is it because I recorded it over my smartphone ( i took a video ), is it bc I am not used to listen to my own voice or is it because I am actually bad?
