    Always love watching kayak camping gear lists! Well done my man, definitely saw a few things I need to add to my load out.

    "This just a charging cable an extra cup and a poptart" 🤣 why did that make me laugh as hard as it did. Good stuff my man.

      I'm offended that he called the PopTart trash 😂😉. For a 90s kid that PopTart was where it was at.

    I always pack my bags so what I need first is on top, i.e; tent foot print, then tent, etc. that way I don't have gear scattered all over the camp if it is raining.
    Steve, with Firebox makes some incredible products. I'v got the nano, G2, freestyle, cast iron, the scout, and a lot more. Big,BIG fan of his gear!

    At 3:04 you mentioned about possibly posting an Amazon link for the portable fan but I did not find it anywhere. Thanks for doing the video...much appreciated.

      Sorry about that! The exact brand I have doesn’t seem to be made anymore but this is pretty much the same:
      XASLA Portable Handheld Fan, Battery Operated Fan with Two 5200mAh Batteries, Rechargeable USB Fan, 3 Speed, 180° Foldable Design, Mini Personal Fan for Desk, Travel and Outdoor Activities a.co/d/emk7Wm6

    I have all that stuff in my backpack, no need to find homes for all the different things. After hiking 2000 miles on the AT I have learned to pack light. Thanks for sharing

    • @TheBeardedBurton
      @TheBeardedBurton  Год назад +2

      That’s cool, would love to see a response video of your AT hiking load out or some awesome footage of your time on the trail!
      Thanks goodness I don’t need to pack light when I have conveyance like a kayak with a 650lb weight limit. Do you pack your fishing boat like you do the AT trail hiking pack or no?

    Great video. Little tip I learned is using your dry bag for clothes as a pillow. One less thing you need to bring and it works awesome.

      Thanks for watching! Yea I usually do that but had to bring this because I need to be propped up that much for my health reasons. That wouldn’t have been thick enough

      I usually try and stay away from ice stuff for trips because it’s only good for so long and then it’s dead weight you have to paddle back.
      Dehydrated meals are my go to

    Glad you posted this. I'm trying to get a gear list built and I watch a ton of these videos. I recently went from being in a kayak to a canoe but I still want to keep the weight and # of contents down. I'm a notorious overpacker, so these videos are very helpful. I'm also really digging that Remote Designs pack. i've seen GB's video and I'm gonna have to order one real soon.

    • @TheBeardedBurton
      @TheBeardedBurton  2 года назад

      Thanks for watching and the comment! The bucket is just your normal 5 gal Home Depot bucket and you just have to get the “Gamma Seal” lid which can be tricky cause they are always out of stock. The rim snaps on and the lid has a rubber O ring

      Not for what I enjoy and do. I like the stability of a sit on top and being able to stand up in it. Also the storage being internal and dry hatched is nice. Overall the time I’ve spent in both, I just prefer kayaks handling and feel in fast water more
