I’m late to party (again 😏) and glad to see your build is coming along. Your system design is very close to what I’m planning for my Transit conversion. While my own background is in electrical systems I realize that many DIY van builders will benefit following your presentation. I did find something in your charging chart that can be misleading. The Victron Multiplus 12/3000 can draw up to 50 Amp from a shore 120v circuit, when charging 12v batteries it can supply a maximum of 120 Amp (1400 -1600 watts). Charging at this max current will deliver 100 AH to your battery bank in about 50 minutes.
Note that most manufactures (including Battleborn) recommend limiting charging current to 50 Amp for a single 100 AH Lithium battery, so for a system with less than three batteries it is advised to limit the charge current.
Hope to catch your next video soon.

Oh that is good to know! Thank you for catching my mistake and for giving the correct information! 50 min vs 15 is quite the difference. 😆

The best video I have found about electric system for van! Very well explained.

Damn! I'll gladly take that. 🤓Thanks for the kind comment!

Very nice, I basically have the same system but I only have 3 Battle Born Batteries. I did everything on my van myself except hooking up the electrical system, I paid an electrician to do it!!

We just got our Transit (148 HR Long) and are right behind you in our build so your vid's are helpful for us. Keep the flow of energy zipping along. Can't wait to watt the next one! Shocking eh!

Great video, Eric, and very informative. Is it possible to get a copy of your electrical spreadsheet you showed in the video? I'm just a few steps behind where you are and the spreadsheet would be a fantastic tool to modify for my build. Thanks

Thanks for the positive feedback! I'm actually in the process of creating a sharable spreadsheet for exactly this purpose, though to be honest it's probably something that I'll sell, and then only once it's completely finalized with all of the exact components.

I’m interested in the spreadsheet as well if not complete just yet give us access to updates. What are you thinking of changing?

Thanks for the feedback Justin! It's hard to know 100% of every single item that'll be used in my build until I ultimately get everything installed and call the build "finished". In the meantime, I'm find myself continually updating my master spreadsheet as the projects steadily progress.
Can I ask, how are you currently tracking your own build project?

@@ErikJohnson2020 I’m still planning out my build. Looking for a 4x4 144 sprinter (my unicorn) and having a hard time. Good price and condition only last a day or 2 and 2-5 hours drive for me to view. Tracking parts weight wattage cost in XLS spreadsheet.
