Looking for the ultimate Android phone? The Galaxy S24 Ultra has been out for a while, and in this video, I dive deep after using it for 6 months. We're talking about the game-changing anti-reflective display, the unbelievable battery life that lasts, and the super-powered S Pen that makes this phone a productivity beast ( for some )
But that's not all! I also cover the incredible camera system, future-proof 7 years of software updates, blazing-fast data speeds and connectivity, the ultra-tough Gorilla Glass, and surprisingly, no overheating issues. I even explore Samsung's AI features to see if they live up to the hype (spoiler-alert, I only use a couple)
Is the Galaxy S24 Ultra still the king of Android phones? Watch to find out! This video is packed with real-world experience to help you decide if this is the right phone for you.

In my case the battery is fine, those who mention having a short duration should check the apps that run in the background.

Former Iphone user [Just got the s24u]
Ok so like i have been an iphone user for years ever since the iphone 4s came out. This week i switched to the s24u because i decided to finally get over my fan vibe for iphones and the fact that iphone software really sucks ive been through 5 iphones. The last one i had was an Iphone 11. Now considering the price of the s24u yeaaa... it will take a bit to pay off but in the long run.. i can say that this phone is so worth it. So far i have not had any battery issues. If you are having issues then maybe check for any apps running in the background. The feel of this phone is so much nicer than iphone in my opinion i also freaking love the screen protector you can get that makes the screen smudge proof. Highly recommend the privacy screen protector from T-Mobile.
The camera is amazing ok taking freaking pics of the moon! THE MOON! THat zoom is insane. Making the phone perfect for Vlogging videos or professional photography.
Ok, I'll stop talking now and get back to messing around on my phone. Peace!

Thanks! I was going to get it in a few months, but because of how awesome this is from what you showed me, I am going to anxiously wait and maintain my patience for the 25 to get here! Also, I know this is a problem for you, but I've had to buy pens for my 22+ because of my longer nails and trying to be precise when doing adjustments to photos (like drawing a line around and object to omit out, choosing a color match, filling out forms where I am handwriting them in and signing is small spaces when not pdf editable, also in doing some gaming things that need precision. And yes, hitting snap on a picture on a stand is wonderful).
Thanks again! I'm subscribed to you now because I really liked your brief but more than informative post. 😊

I own an S24U and I agree with almost everything you've said. The only downsides of this phone for me is the grainy display on low brightness, the slow shutter speed that makes moving subjects look blurry and the colour inconsistency between the different cameras on video mode.

I was looking forward to getting the S24ULTRA but the "No 10X optical zoom" ruined my plan. I know S24ULTRA's camera is good but the zoom performance seems more AI processed as compared to the S23ULTRA. I finally grabbed the VivoX100Pro and the camera performance is better in particular the night photography and 10X zoom shots.

I don't know if I got a dud but this is the first device that I can't use outdoors. I can see the screen for about 15 minutes and then it automatically dims so bad I can barely read it. I've tried every setting and nothing changes this. Bragging how bright this display is means nothing when you can't even get it to be that bright. I can't wait to get rid of it. Hopefully the Zfold6 won't have this issue. My Zfold5 didn't so I'm hopeful.

  • @gooey_smoogy

Coming from an S21 ultra and Note 8 and a note 4, the s24 ultra is a bit disappointing. Would've kept my oneplus 12 if it wasn't for its inferior audio quality for bluetooth and wired. The s24 ultra display just looks like a step-down with its less vivid colors and the very noticeable grain. The Oneplus 12 has a much more vivid display, with also having to be accurate as well close to rec. 709 color gamute in its 10-bit display and also supports dolby vision. The battery is just fine. It's not as good as my oneplus 12 and a little bit better than my old 21 ultra. Its OS is nowhere near fluid or as snappy as Oneplus 12, iphone 15, or the pixel 8 imo. S24 ultra is a great phone but should've been a bit cheaper.

Hey Mark, this might be a bit of a random question since it's not about the S24U, but would you happen to know (aside from battery size & camera I'm assuming) what the difference will be between the S25 & S25U? I've never really felt the need for the Ultra version of any galaxy phone, but I would like to have the S25 and all the capabilities that come with it (including AI), so I would be a little bummed if certain software/processing power may be cut back in the "less premium" models.
No worries if this is unknown or you're not sure. Thanks for your time. Great video btw-had I seen this last week, I would've considered getting an S24 instead of fixing my S20 lol

One thing I should add though, with what you're saying, is that you have to GIVE UP a phone that's worth $550 at least to get $750 off the phone. And then you have to pay more money. So your giving up over $1,000 total, whether it's in cash or in the device your trading, you're still paying over $1,000 for the phone. At that point they will give you $750 off next year, or close to it, and you'll have to pay an extra $500 too. So basically every year you are PAYING an extra $500 to go from one ultra to the next. The next year's ultra isn't $500 better than this years.
So to summarize, yes, the trade in deals are great. They give you more than your phone is worth. But you're not getting a phone for $550. You are trading in a phone worth about $550 and getting $750 for it. So you're getting an extra $200 off each year. That's the math we're looking at. Still awesome to get an extra $200 off. But that's what it practically is

I have both the s24U and 15PM and I’m just not seeing where this “excitement” of use is coming from, the both do the same thing, with minor differences….sure the s24U has some screen capabilities where the iPhone doesn’t but is that exciting? Hmm.. seems that these phones are not doing that good sales wise. That explains the deep discounts Samsung gives from time to time (even at launch?). Would not trust to get much after a year if I sell it or trade it in ( besides Samsung) for newer tech. Here’s a tip. When you visit remote areas like that take the iPhone 15 PM with you… you know for that satellite connection in case you need it! Cheers!

It's a shady victory, really. Half of the competitors wouldn't bother to release their phone to Westerners due to fear of sanctions. Samsung primarily follows Apple's footsteps. And Apple itself isn't doing much of work.
Let's face it, S24U won merely due to lack of any decent competition, not because it's an awesome device.
Slow charging (sure, for Americans that's lighting fast, but we got used to 120 w chargers for years), dodgy software updates that deteriorate user experience, camera performance and battery life, heavily throttled S8G3, outdated screen technology with new problems (graininess in low brightness, green lines), outdated camera hardware.
I'd rather give the win to OP 12 - it's a helluva bang for the buck

I have no idea what updates you got. My S24 Ultra doesn't take good photos. too bright, too sharp. Even if I turn the AI functions off, the images are processed. For me it's currently the worst camera. The camera from my previous Pixel 7 Pro took much better pictures. I'm open to tips and advice on how to set up the camera in the best possible way. because, otherwise I love the s24 ultra.

Damn bro. 😎 I have never heard anyone say this about Samsung Vs. Apple and I think you are so CORRECT ✅ bro. One of the main reasons I hate iOS and Apple 🍎 even though I have all their stuff is it really never ends with Apple they just take and take and take and charge more 💰💸🤑for like everything. Samsung is like the last honest phone 📱 and it is an everything phone. 📱 you can do so much with it. Because Samsung designed it that way. Don’t get it twisted Apple 🍎 could do the same thing but if they did then there sales would fall of a cliff. Straight FIRE 🔥 thoughts bro. Ps. I can’t even use my iPhone 📱 in the direct sunlight because it just dims or overheats.
