Congress is mostly Republicans since the 2022 election. His party is dangerously biased. Santos seems to be a closet transgender, pathological liar, self-hating Latine, and narcissist. Our Constitution is obsolete and naive about corruption and partisan rivalry since it was written 300 years ago, for a new government and before our two parties were founded.
I hope he spends many days and nights and years in jail, preparing his next failed scheme. He reflects the absurdity that is 2023 to a T. Thank you for your concise and direct reporting, Dr. Grande!

The title says it all. Politics in the USA. This crap is ending SOON. We demand integrity, honesty and civic responsibility again! These politicians are in for rude awakenings. (I’m feeling hopeful right now after watching the Vallow verdict. I’ve followed the trial and I was filled with admiration and respect for all the law enforcement, scientists, REAL journalists, and communal support for the victims. Even though the case will haunt me for the rest of my life, watching people come together with their skills, knowledge, and, most of all CARE, was a very, very good thing.
I hope you're right but sometimes it feels we are too far gone as a country. Everything is so upside down.

I think there needs to be more emphasis on the fact that Santos is a criminal, not just a lying narcissist but a criminal intent in having what he wants no matter whom he hurts or drags along. He disgusts me!
One thing I wonder about too, is that Santos seems to REVEL in the attention he is getting. Shamelessly standing at podiums, crying “witch-hunt” and not seeing the irony of his position. He looks so normal on the outside, but is such a baffling bundle of shamelessness, ignorance, depravity and attention-seeking even if it is bordering on being publicly ridiculed and jailed. Is he a masochist?

Some people are so ordinary and so dull and so uninteresting they have to create a fantasy life. The problem is they never know when to stop. What’s more incredible is this man managed to get into politics but on the other hand he’s in good company - most politicians lie as easily as they breath.

I think we have all known/met these sort of people in our lives. The problem is that unless we know them really well, it is impossible to know that they are liars, or the extent of their lying. I learned the hard way with my sister-in-law and finally simply had to stop communicating with her. I don't know how my brother stays with her, or if he is just completely deceived. It is sad what it has done to our family. Of all the lies this terrible man has told, I think the worst is the disrespect he shows his hardworking and honest mother.
I felt the same way. It's like he's embarrassed by her or something. And the second most egregious was using the Holocaust. Ick.
He reminds me of my ex-roommate, who claimed to be a former psychiatric nurse, who gave up graduate school to become an alcoholic. My other roomies and I suspected this was false because she didn't remember her major. She misdiagnosed my other roommate's bipolar disorder as schizophrenia because they were prescribed lithium, which is prescribed for bipolar disorder! She could not tell my autism from intellectual disability, despite my 125 IQ and BA in art history! She called my degree a "special ed degree!" She falsely accused my other roomies of embezzling my inheritance and elder-abusing me and tricked me into moving into my neighbor's house with her, withdrawing my bank account and keeping the withdrawal form in her jacket! She then elder-abused me with a week of verbal abuse, including a homophobic, transphobic, and apocalyptic Christian sermon in a Lyft, sleep deprivation, starvation, and hard physical labor! She often threatened me with a commitment to a mental hospital for life strapped to a bed and sedated when I argued with her! She also falsely claimed Brittle Bone Disease, like Mr. Glass in "Unbreakable" and "Glass," fell down often, blamed me for distracting her with any speech or movements, and warned me that one day she would fall down and "bleed out in 15 minutes" from a compound fracture, despite her previous normal health at her apartment and my house! When I reported all this to my neighbor, she was horrified, called my family, took me out to dinner, let me stay with her, and kicked the roomie out! On her advice, I came home for the winter holidays to work things out with my old roomies, only to find my long-term roommates sorry about the missing money, which they actually spent on my bankruptcy attorney's fees saving my house from foreclosure! The ex-roommate returned my withdrawn bank account through a volunteer at her homeless shelter. It was like an O. Henry short story! I made 3 videos about this!

We suggest, perhaps, you do a video on the impact of Karen Ann Quinlan and her coma- I was eleven when my new sister in law had that book and she told me what it was about- it scared the daylights out of me as a little girl. I couldn't imagine that, living a very sheltered life being raised strict Catholic and I am glad I was raised that way. No one drank and took 'pills' where I grew up in a lovely rural conservative farming town in the eastern U.S.A. We would be interested in hearing your thoughts on that book's impact and Karen's impact on the social scene at the time that horrible ocurrence happened to her in 1975. Thank you, Kim & Larry

Had a guy like this in my college class. I'm into music, so he told me about his backstage adventures meeting bands at a music festival. To others, he told stories about paying for his grandmothers cancer care with his crypto money, his 100,000$ motor cycle, dating a millionaire's daughter, etc. In about one semester, he became the class laughing stock. As you said, telling one person one lie can work, but gossip quickly ruins the facade.
He dropped out after about two years with very poor academic results, but claimed (on national radio, non-the-less) that he actually graduated the five year program in two years and caught the eye of some gullible start-up incubators. He fancies himself an expert consultant in several high-tech fields, yet every single start-up he has been involved with has failed. Interested to see if he will run for office one day :)

But yeah, he got interviewed as a "star student entrepreneur" on a mid day radio show where he boasted about studying for 12 hours a day while running several companies, highlighting how special, hard working and talented he was. Absolutely insane listening to knowing what a thoroughly unimpressive person he was when I met him daily.
MANY years ago, when I was in college, I dated a pathological liar. And later I dated one again, but that was more the Narcissist type liar. I think (hope) most people are honest enough that we just believe others are honest. I’ve been told I’m “brutally honest”, and it’s a trait I’ve always had. I cannot tell you how many times I was duped by the pathological liar I dated for 4 years! Over and over again, I could not fathom how situations turned out to be nothing but lies. Even the simple things…asked him to return library books for me only to find he never actually intended to return them. It was like lying was a reflex…I began to see that if someone asked him what time he woke up that morning, the answer depended on who asked him, not what time he actually arose. I finally came to terms with the fact that the person I was in a relationship with wasn’t “real”. It’s easy to get along when someone tells you everything you want to hear 😂

Ex-bestie was borderline pathological liar. If she didn’t know a fact she’d just make what she said as true, convincingly. It’s only when you step back and look at the destructive behaviour, do you see the lies, but in my gut I knew she was lying. Other than that she was my bestie and I loved her. We don’t speak now. I do miss her and wish things were different, but continual lying gets emotionally wearing. I’m old and can’t deal any more.

I have a cousin just like that, she's almost 60 now & lives at home with her mother. She went from man to man like a revolving door her whole life. Had God knows how many kids & didn't raise any of them..
