I hate "VR is a gimmick" people. I'm sure the same thing was said about the television, microwave and hell, I'm sure it was said about the first video game consoles. VR is the future.

VR was a gimmick for a time, to be fair. Not the concept of VR, that was always going to be the future, but the iterations we had for a while. It's now, with Half-Life: Alyx, living up to what we all thought it should be.
VR is not the future. It should remain separate from gaming.
There is a place for VR alongside Flatscreen, not in replacing it.
Dark Nite Sunset it wont entirely replace it, but it would be more widespread kinda like 2d and 3d games
3D is a gimmick. VR has potential. Problem is for most people it's not that interesting because it costs way more than it's worth for them. We still can't properly walk in most VR games and the solution of using a stick in PSVR isn't a great one.

i had a similar expirience when a headcrab i found could not get up and was stuck flailing, it couldnt kill me and as long as it didnt get shot it was fine, so for the entirety of chapter four i carried him with me and named him fredrickson, i remember when he died i went out on a rampage and completely murdered every combine i saw in the section until i got to the north star, al whilst yelling "for Fredrickson"
