Thank you so much for writing this software. It's been a life saver!
You're a goddamn genius.
Thank you!
Amazing job => can turn the Scarlett into actual high-end digital mixer !!!
What? This is amazing, thank you so much for this software, I'll use the free trial and just after that I won't hesitate on buying it! People like you, who create a specific software for a necessity, are AMAZING!
this will be really useful as Focusrite never released the control app for Android
Hi, great video and very good software. I combined my setup with the Korg Nanokontrol Studio. Can you please help me how I can change the colours of the buttons (e.g. Mute) on the Nanokontrol with your software? That would be really a great help. Cheers.
Did you ever get that working?
@@lostwaves6615 Do you mean the colours or the MIDI control?
@@romonasa4558 I actually mean the light on the mute/solo buttons...I can't seem to get them to work with the light with a user preset. Button works fine but the light never turns on/off
@@lostwaves6615 No, I never got it working. But honestly I needed to change my setup quickly because the DBX 286s didn't work anymore. And now I'm working with the Rodecaster Pro 2.
i really love the app and just bought the midi+mackie license! the only thing is I bought it hoping to be able to control the "talk" button on the scarlet 18i20 3rd gen! in fact thats the main reason I bought it... would that be a feature that could be added soon please pretty please ? :D :D
Did you figure it out or got any response at all? For the price, I'd expect better support from the developer.
Nice work, I have the 3rd gen, can the talk button in focusrite control be assinged to midi? now it is binded to a keyboard shortcut that's not practicle, would be great to shortcut that option to my midi controlled footswitch for example, If you confirm that this is feasable I would buy a license for sure.
This feature would be very nice!
Thank you for making this. What's the brand and model of that MIDI controller?
It's a Novation Launch Control
It's the original Launch Control, it's not being produced anymore, got mine off ebay.
Hi i am planning to use this only with the X touch extender. Will this work just fine?
And does the Level meter LEDs work on the c touch?
Thank you for this great little tool!
I haven't heard anyone using only the Extender, but I guess it will work. Remember to enable the XT property on the port in Preferences.
Yes, the level meters are working.
@@RaduVargaYeah i dont need the master section on the right so the extender is perfect for me.
perfect, thank you!
This tut is a big revelation for me.
Please I want to know if I can control multiple digital outs simultaneously? Especially if you are monitoring for surround.
Yes, you can map multiple parameters with the same control.
Another question please..Can I do this with the presonus faderport?
Hi how do I start? I would love to buy the Behringer X-Touch Mini. If I do so: Do I have to run some Behringer software to make the Midi Controller to work in windows? And as a second step install your software? - I have already installed Focusrite Control and have it connected to Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 3rd generation. Appreciate your helg!!
I think you need the Behringer driver, you might want to also grab the XTouch Editor to make the device work as you want it to.
Question - Is there a way to connect to a BOSS ES-8. So it is not a controller for the Scarlett But it needs to send signals to the BOSS unit.
Setup:
Mac 11.6.1
Logic Pro X 10.7.1 OR Reaper 6.40
Scarlett 18i20 ver 3
Boss ES-8 Editor App
Having a hard time figuring out how to get the Scarlett to properly talk to the ES Editor (and device) app. MIDI communication error. So it's something with the Scarlett as it works fine with the Roland UM-One USB (ultimately want to get rid of that)
Thanks
If you can send midi to the computer from it, then yes, you will be able to use Focusrite Midi Control to gain access to Focusrite Control.
With my gen2 18i8 there is no authorization of the device to enable midi required. The Focusrite Control software is also different. If you go to the Focusrite website they say midi does not work out of the box until it is enabled via the software. When one clicks the little gear there is no dialogue at the bottom of the window that you show for a Gen 3 device.
I also have the 18i8 gen2 and thr process was the same. Send me an email with some screenshots of both softwares and I can take a look at your issue. contact@raduvarga.com
hello , i suppose this doesn't work for gen 1 (18i8) with mix control 1.1 ?
Nope, just with Focusrite Control
Can you map multiple parameters to the same control? E.g. map all outputs to one knob.
yep, you can do that.
where is the Focusrite midi control?
Do you need to keep Focusrite Conrol and Focusrite Midi Control applications open at all times for this to work?
nope, Focusrite has their server which should runs background, and the Midi Control app can be minimized to the taskbar.
@@RaduVarga thanks! I’m on mac and testing the trial. So in order for the midi controls to be active the Focusrite MIDI Control Application does always need to be opened- albeit can be minimized?
Hi, you can only control the existing physical parameters via MIDI right? i.e. you can't alter a signal comming in via MIDI with other commands like Pitch Bend, to alter the sound before it goes to audio out?
You cannot alter the audio, you can only do what Focusrite Control can do
@@RaduVarga do you know of an audio interface that takes midi in (either 5 pin or usb) and can also accept MIDI command like pitch bend, to alter the sound before it exits via aux to speakers? Essentially trying to control the sound output of a keyboard that doesn’t have pitch wheel nor does it allow midi command for pitch bend. So trying to see if there is a device that can go between my keyboard and speakers / Focusrite 4i4
@@robinstephenson9938 You are basically looking for interfaces with DSP that have built in audio effects. Look into UAD Apollo.
@@RaduVarga thanks I’ll check them out and do some more research. Trying to see if there is a cost effective way to get my Genki wave to work after keyboard, as it doesn’t accept that command.
Link for windows it doesn´t working.
can't get this to work. I'm trying to Run as Administrator on Windows 10 1909 and it won't start
Send me an email so I can debug the issue www.raduvarga.com/contact
Hi, does It work with rednet 4Pre?
Mac Os
The software only works ini conjunction with Focusrite Control.
This is for generation 3 Focusrite not gen 2. Gen 2 doesn't need any setup if it has a midi input.
It's for both gen 2 and gen 3. It has nothing to do with the midi input, instead with controlling the Focusrite Control software.
How can you make this work with ableton midi?
Do you mean automating Focusrite Control from midi sent from Ableton?
@@RaduVarga I think i solved, i got this midi controller but i could only control focusrite control and not ableton. now i do both thanks
by the way, my PC already has the .net software installed.
Which .NET Framework version do you have?
@@RaduVarga i went to download the 4.7.2 version. When i attempted to install it Windows stated i have a newer version and 4.7.2 could not be installed.
Dude this is too expensive for a MIDI mapper. People would support it a lot more if it was fairly priced. $10 seems more reasonable and easier to adopt.
