Great vid! Your section on replaying old games to find they don't measure up was great. This is my exact fear with the soul reaver games that were just re-released. I am tempted, but imagine they won't be quite what I remember
Glad you liked the vid, appreciate you giving us a watch. And I know exactly what you mean with Soul Rever. My buddy bought it over the holiday because of nostalgia and instantly regretted it. He said the graphics just weren't there and the gameplay seemed dated. If anything, he was hoping for a full remake and not the remaster they put out. He ended up getting a full refund because he played for less than an hour. 😬 You could try it and always return it (on xbox). Or, what I plan to do, is just wait for a sale. It can't be $30 for too much longer. Or maybe it will come to GamePass? Usually anything I buy comes to GamePass a month later, so I can keep you posted. 😂
Waaaaaay behind on your podcast now, but just listened to this one. Sorry you're not enjoying the Silent Hill 2 remake! I loved it, and thought that the extra length worked well for what they were going for, but think that that's a totally fair critique. It's at least twice as long as the original game, which does impact the balance of story-to-gameplay a lot.
I didn't mean to harsh on it too much. I definitely think I'll go back to it sometime and finish it. I think I'm just so used to Resident Evil, where I always know where to go. And this one is a bit slower and more confusing. Appreciate you listening though, buddy! Always like the Ross take!

I also loved Soul Reaver (still have the original in my closet somewhere) and have the same thought about it!

@@GoodPlayingWithYou Haha no worries, you weren't too harsh! Just honest. That's always good.
I need $700 mil in my bank account rn
Calling it now: when that exclusivity deal ends for Wukong, it'll be announced that the game will SHOCKINGLY run on the Series S JUST fine!
I like a good theory. This could totally be true.
