G'day Jeff, I am onto man. I am currently working on my very first little bit of epic video and it should be up on my channel in the next two weeks...watch this space Coming soon. A short storey about my Mavic Pro - (Ferrari edition) featuring my Custom Harley Trike. I am using my iPhone 7-plus with the Filmic Pro app and the Mavic Pro drone to do all the filming. I live in a small town (population 9 people) in the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia and it has some magnificent wide open landscapes. What I have filmed so far really looks good. I have just downloaded the VSDC editing program (free edition) to edit it all together. I have a heap of old practice B-roll that would be good to use for your challenge, so as soon as I have got my head around all this editing process I will create a 30 second B-roll video just for your challenge and viewing pleasure. Thank you for putting it out there/here and I look forward to many more creations. I am having so much fun. Cheers Spike

Hey Greene. Thanks. I’m ordering my mav mini today. I’m game for the B-Roll challenge with it. I’m just a learner, great video, just 1 thing i learned from another tuber is planning shots and time of day because if the basic exposure on the drone. You shot some in too bright of son. No big deal because I didn’t see much color grading added. But made mw curious. Are you practicing grading your footage and will that be another video for this at a time? I took your 8 tips down for note and will be applying. Thanks again!
Compound movements are the final goal. Left, up, yaw left while rolling the camera up or down and doing it all smoothly. Looks awesome but much practice to get it right.

Thank you, a great starting point! Coming from the photography world, I'm still learning how to "tell a story" so to speak, with video. Speed ramping, time lapses, low mo, etc. are new concepts for me and I'm in the process to understand them to "spice up" my shootings.

Ok, my B Roll drone footage from my last landscape photoshoot location (Belgium, close to the French border). Actually this is my own first self edited footage with the Mavic Air. No colorgrading or colorcorrection. I've used an ND4 filter from Polar Pro (Basic Series). My first drone was a phantom 3 advanced and i used it mainly for photography. lacrossed55 hi there, actually i was referring to Airmap. This is a nice app that allows you to check if there are any air restrictions for flying uas in the area.
Jeff Greene Thank you. I have one more Q . I have an Air coming tomorrow and I'm a little worried about my phone working. It meets specs but ...its a cheaper phone. Now, I completely understand you get near zero camera functionality (except hand gestures) Can you use the controller w/o a phone?
lacrossed55 yes you can use remote controller as a standalone. Make sure to start out in a wide open area. Very easy to get disoriented without using the phone. Happy flying!
