That entire "Risk Free" rant was entirely my favorite part. "The audacity. How dare you?" 🤣🙌🏾
Thank you for the update, this is useful to know!
I used to work for easyJet (5 years ago), and the cleanliness back then wasn't great. The aircraft only get professionally cleaned once a day anyway, so to me that's not really a change there. This disinfectant thing that lasts up to 24 hours that they talk about in these videos.. I wouldn't trust this!
Throughout the working day, tray tables and seats were hard to maintain clean, because we didn't have the time to clean due to the quick turn arounds in flights and not having the cleaning equipment. Half the time if there was a mess that needed more of a deep clean (e.g. food stains and sometimes even urine) on a passenger seat, we would just put a seat cover over it. Have in mind that this same aircraft would probably do 6-8 more flights that same day without being deeply cleaned until the end of the day.
Hello Aly. I have not watched your videos regularly since 2019 . And since Covid-19 , I spent the months of April and May staying home . I only went out to shop for food or pay bills . I watched a couple of your videos this afternoon . I have to say that since you published your book , you have really become quite polished and really matured as a travel personality . I still enjoy you very much .
Omg! The rant!... Too funny!😄
Thank you for all the time/research you put into your videos to provide us with valuable travel information!
You're very welcome! 🙂🙂
Thank you for the updates!
Hi Aly , thank you for update, great video as always 👍
this was so helpful ty!
Thank you for the update! Love the rant!
This is so useful, you went to great length to research this video! Even purchasing tickets so we can see the seating 😅 thanks Aly!!
I flew wizz air 3 days ago home to slovakia and I made a trip report 😀. I felt super safe with wizz air. I also managed to fly on their brand new A320neo.
I cannot wait to hop on a flight again! Great video
Have a great day Ally !
Haha Aly why Fast forward... I started laughing in the middle of the vlog lol... 👌
Had a flight booked with Ryanair for the 20th June flying out from Edinburgh. However with changes in government guidelines that flight was cancelled and we were offered to change our flight date for no additional fee and no changes in the original ticket prices. Very happy with that so far although I'm concerned with how the airport will deal with social distancing, expecting a bit of havoc there.
I haven't watched the airlines' videos yet, but have they said anything about how they will board (by row, aisle or window first, families first, disabled first, etc)? Even though we're not going to travel with any of these airlines to our destination this summer, we're still taking a sort of LCC mid-August. I would presume that the procedures will be similar across all airlines. I'm just curious.
Hello mam can you tell me in july can we travel german (koln)to spain alicante. Am going to booking my tickets... please give me information.
Important to know for Ryanair that they have only cancelled the change booking fee. you still have to pay any difference in fare which is often a lot more then the change flight fee would have been
And as such could be cheaper to just buy a completely new flight
Yes!! That is very true!
LOL @ the "You Better Belize It" shirt
Hi there, Nice video. I have question do you need expect the passports and fly ticket, do you need also negative COVID-19 test proof?
Finland just announced that starting next monday we are allowed to travel between Finland, the Baltic countries and Nordic countries excluding Sweden without the two-week self-isolation periods! :) So happy to see things getting better!
Question is, where are you going first? ✈️❤️
Yay! Come to Latvia!! It's like normal life here, so everything is getting better everywhere else too 😊
I have a return flight to Paris with EasyJet in September for an event which has now been postponed until "next Fall". I originally paid £145 for these flights, specifically to go to this event. Of course, the event has now been cancelled, but I can't cancel the flights, so I am stuck with what to do. They are being generous enough that I can switch my flights for any other date/location up to the value of what I paid, all the way up to next May, which is super generous. However, the usual flight for that route would only be about £60, and they have made it clear that I won't get a refund of the difference, which is annoying me, as it's over double the usual price. As the event has now been cancelled for this year, the prices have dropped to £50 return for these dates, which adds more to the sting. Ideally, I would just roll over the flights until next year, where I could actually get the full value, but as I can only change them up until May, whatever I do, in going to loose out
Yikes, that's a sucky situation. Is there anyway you could go for a bit of a holiday during the timeframe they are giving you? But then it will add up to so much more money. Damn that's annoying!
Try to ask for a credit note. Has worked guide a friend of mine
Awesome! love to see you representing my country 🇧🇿BELIZE🇧🇿. You better Belize it!🤩
I'm meant to be flying out in January but after watching this video and your other one I'm thinking about cancelling my flights
I am big fan ! I can tell you about Emirates air. You are allowed to carry a carry on, only checked in language. Also you will need a health certificate issues within 10 days of travel. You must have travel insurance and the travel insurance will not cover changes or cancellation of flights.
Sorry you are not allowed a carry on
@@nehadsalman5236 omg can you take anything on the plane? just like your phone and laptop/tablet?
I will not be travelling in the near future. The carefree-ness which I enjoyed about travel has gone.
I'm flying luton to Krakow 1st August, hope i will make it🤔🤔
I hope they take you and I hope you stay there....
Booked up with wizz air with the girls to Mallorca fly out on the 18th
Do you think that being able to book seats right next to each other is meant to try and accommodate people who live together anyway? I mean in theory, a free seat between each passenger regardless of whether they live together or not is not going to be a 2 metre distance, but still better than nothing at all. If that's the thinking, then they've most likely weighed it up and gone "profit plz".
Do you think you will take the risk and hop on flights this year or wait till next year ? Interesting video as always x
For now I'll be playing it by ear but I haven't even thought about booking anything tbh. Focusing on where we could go in the UK when that's safe to do so in the van
PsychoTraveller I think that’s really wise :) I’m wondering how the travel influencer industry is going to adapt now in terms of press trips etc ! Do you reckon you could maybe do a video about the travel influencer industry during this pandemic? I for one would find that so interesting!
"You Better Realize" :) New rules will be informed.
i will give you feedback when i go Poland tomorrow ( wizz air )
I'm having a Ryanair flight from London to Porto
RIP
That rant 🤣🤣🤣 omg ally 🤣🤣 I had to travel with Ryanair in april, but of course that flight got cancelled and I will never see my money, bc ryanair is that company who just gives vouchers. Same goes for AirAsia. I also had to travel with Scoot back to europe from singapore and I was honestly pleasantly surprised that they refunded me 100%, when I was least expecting it from them, since it's not the best company out there
Have you had any response from Ryan Air? I still haven’t even got vouchers 🤣🤣
I hope this means I finally don't have to watch people queue up when boarding is announced!
Yep! That's gone for a while!
people will still que... i doubt they would call us one by one so there still will be some ques
I'm going to Italy with Ryanair late July. I.m flying from Brussels airport to milan malpensa.
I have not travelled yet to Bulgaria this year but I did watch a person who had travelled on whizzy Airlines and said realistically the world has no to restrictions on travelling all I did was sign a declaration form one side on Bulgarian I want side on English declaring they were not carrying covid-19 sounds straightforward but I still have a query about that it's all a yes or I know at this moment in time
There is 17 of us from the same family travelling to Malta with Ryanair in September 11 of us on the same flight. This is the second time this has been booked. Let's just see what happens.
You have my greatest sympathy, good luck, and may your God look after you all.
We need to get rid of social distancing, what is the point at an airport, as you say you going to be sitting on an aircraft next to people.
I’m hoping to fly in November, fingers crossed thing will be kind of back to normal by then. Also not happy about wearing a mask for the entire flight.
Do you think they are going to clean toilets each time someone uses it?
I agree
Things aren't going back to normal. These new regulations have cost a lot of money to roll out and some people will be scared about flying long after this crisis is over. A lot of people won't feel safe if these regulations are taken away.
Supposed to be flying to portugal for a music festival next month but obviously, the festival got postponed to next year. Flying with Ryanair and Easyjet. The hotel has already stated that bookings can be postponed to next year, if only the airlines would follow suit. No way should we have to put ourselves at risk because they want to hold our money hostage. They really think I want to fly to another country for absolutely no reason now, and in doing so risk COVID-19, social distance and wear a mask on "holiday", then have to quarantine 14 days when back in the UK. More annoyingly we booked through a travel agency, so we have to wait for their response to sort it out.
Blimey! Yeah I get that, they just want your money and will do anything to hold onto it
I'm wanting to emigrate to Sweden overland, but I'm not wanting to spent 2 weeks in Netherland and 2 weeks in Germany quarantine facilities.
The two week quarantine in every county is ruining the whole experience really...
No queueing at the boarding gate? THANK GOD! KEEP IT THAT WAY. It always used to baffle me when I was younger, getting your passport and boarding pass scanned meant time to get on, and that was still the case with expensive airlines like BA, so why are we standing around for ages with these cheap ones if they're not even ready?
It hits you like a slap with a wet fish when you are near the front of that queue and see your plane literally disembarking while you're waiting to get on. It just goes to show how aggressive their pursuit of profit is. The less time the planes are on the ground, the more they're making money. Not to mention the cabin crew apparently don't even get paid unless they're in the air but still have to perform some ground duties. It's disgusting. Post Corona this should no longer be acceptable. Give surfaces a cursory clean with disinfectant by hand between flights and don't ffffing call us to get on until you're actually ready to have us on!
I have tried to change my Ryanair flight booking from July 1st to later in July, this week they will not do it for free !, you have to pay a change fee of 450kr keith Saunders
How I found you at 3am no clue but glad I did.
I flew with Belavia last week. Masks came off as soon as everyone was seated. Minimal social distancing. Then again, this was in Belarus with zero restrictions
Yeah as their president said, they didnt have covid apparenly 😂😂 but than again I flew withh British Airways and Sri Lankan Airways 2 weeks ago and there was alnost no social distancing, either...
@@languagetraveller yep i was there for almost 3 months. Still haven't had a single day of lockdown!
At least I haven't seen anything about not taking hand luggage on board, as that had been brought up as an additional measure. Apart from having to wear masks (which at least for me I know I'll probably get overheated by, with just breathing hot air in my face for hours), nothing really bothers me about any of this and doesn't scare me off actually flying.
The biggest concern about booking a flight is the refund process. NEVER book through Opodo, as it's 3 months on and I still haven't had any update or refund - their communication is terrible. If booking and refunding policies aren't free/cheap and flexible, then people will likely feel slightly pressured to fly, even if they do have symptoms, if there's a risk of losing lots of money. But obviously it's just a money making tactic for airlines. I think until social distancing measures and masks aren't required on flights, free changes or quick refunds should still be allowed.
The other main issue is are the cheaper flights going where I want to go? Will those flights actually fly (and not be cancelled last minute, and then risk messing up all bookings for that trip)? And what are the entry requirements of where I want to go? Obviously I understand the reason for the masks, but the biggest hassle is all the additional research needed to see where you can even go, if I need to take a test before flying/on arrival to be allowed in, if there are quarantines in place etc....
Absolutely agree with you on all of this! It's such a mess, which is why I'm not planning anything yet and seeing how this all progresses
@@PsychoTraveller I'm really wanting to travel as this is the longest I've been in one place for as long as I can remember (at least for 13 years) - and it's starting to drive me a little crazy. I'm getting back to where I'm sleeping in till 1-2pm just to help pass the days. And even though more places are starting to open up, it's annoying as you still can't 100% plan anything yet.
So I'm torn between trying to go literally anywhere that'll let me in (as soon as flights go again, and to a place without many restrictions). Or waiting a few weeks and seeing how things go first. But then more time passing also risks chances of another wave and potentially more lockdowns, which would cause loads more problems. Obviously the smartest thing would be to stay put for a while, but at least mentally that might not be the best thing.
I was all set to travel this year, got some extra funds and was thinking of going to Latin America and finally Ireland, then corona happened. I've resigned myself to the likelihood I am not going anywhere this year.
I going italy
Clean the plane once a day..? Excuse me..??
I just come to the Uk by train 😂
All of them is NON CLEANED.... trains bus but the worst is the cheap airlines...
All cheap airlines with the Sardinia sitting SHOULD BE BANNED and replaced with normal civilized and service minded and more expensive
Hi i booked to fly to Lanzarote on the 18th june . Flying back to dublin from Fuerteventura on the 7th july. Five of us . The 18th is canceled. But the 7th july . Looks like it flying . I will be down over 800 euro if that plane flys on the 7th. My brother in the same boat 🙄😟😟
Ryanair
Urgh that sucks!!! 😔
2019 We weren't as hygienic as u thought / now we are. 2020
Make that the tag line said in a very soft voice with a stunning shot of an aircraft amongst fluffy sun drenched clouds aaaand fade to black. 🤣
@@PsychoTraveller they would get sued by everyone who ever flew with them lol
No way...too much smoking...love the vlog, And yes you are pretty
The best to protect would be to have individual CID19 test you can do at home before flight. So your country of departure and the air company can ensure you leave well.
Same should be done on the other side by the other country, test you and if you are sick to refund your holiday and keep you there at their expense until you return well, buy you new ticket and stuff.... no one would do it it is just too much hassle.
Lol filters in the air con ie in the airplane can only filter some bacteria but not viruses as they are super small...same applies to the face masks... so much lol I can’t take it much more
cleaning plane once a day will stop covid spreading
covid: *am i a joke to you*
Covid be like : even if you whipe the plane's ass , i still whip the travellers ass
I honestly won’t feel comfortable to travel again until there’s a vaccine or there’s an effective treatment but I probably won’t have enough money to travel again until then either
@@viajandosemlimites5678 also dont want to go anywhere near a vaccine
Hmm, I’ll do a Greta Thunberg and sail to my destination 😎
You'll never see me on Ryanair.
All thy cleaning and disinfecting should be done even when the pandemic is over as those planes never get cleaned well and are just gross.
yeah its super nasty that it took a pandemic for this type of cleaning to be put into place! i bet they saved billions on not deep cleaning all this time
I've taken 6 flights during this pandemic (all necessary unfortunately). I live in the US so I flew twice with Delta and four times with Southwest. They were all rather empty, sometimes only about 20 people altogether, and I had an entire row to myself on each of the 6 flights. Southwest has promised the keep the middle seat open on all their flights through the end of July. Mostly everyone I've encountered has taken to adhering to the guidelines, including social distancing as much as possible and wearing a mask in the airport and throughout the entire duration of the flight, which has been a relief for me to see, considering how political and polarized this pandemic has become in the US sadly. The biggest (welcome) change is not lining up to board and waiting forever to get onto the airplane. Although, like you said, that kind of becomes null and void since we're all going to be on the same aircraft anyways, but I just always hated waiting haha.
Why would anyone be travelling now when the pandemic is still problematic?
Really doesn't address the new rules. A very hard video to follow.
Ryan-air small print, honestly zero trust. You got to understand that it is, and will be for the foreseeable future, a gamble with your money. It is sad, and they will try to establish trust, but as far as your cash is concerned as soon as you book you will never see it again.
I disagree. They will have to return the money. Thankfully, we EU citizens have the Commission protecting us. Otherwise, Ryanair would screw everyone over. Disgusting!
Umm i know u don't paint your nails etc but they are looking amazing
if your wearing a mask on plane you can sit next to someone else. im a nurse and we wear masks at work and we are sitting next to each other in the nursing station.
does 1 year old need mask as well?the answer is no
ALL CHEAP FLIGHTS IN EUROPE SHOULD BE ABOLISH..... GET BACK AS IT WAS BEFORE WITH THE LESS TRAVEL MORE SERVICE AND HYGIENIC CIVILIZED TRAVEL.
there is some people who cant afford to travel on non budget airlines - some people who like to take a trip weekend break to somewhere they haven't been before and people who may travel to see loved ones as much as possible... these airlines are needed! they help keep the economy floating. better cleaning and organisation just needs to happen
You do realise this is a scam?
They have masks, but you give them food/drinks for few bucks...:) stupid move
To long talking not much inform nation you love your self to much talking to camera !
ur right not enought info Nation.... we need more info on the nation ...
I hate to be that guy, but the plural of aircraft is aircraft. Not aircrafts.
