Logan and Remus’ dynamic is just so funny to me. It’s like the stoic friend who gives 0 fucks having a solo day with the friend who would probably punch a cop then steal their car.
Logan snapping "Stop ignoring me!" Is really important because often people ignore logic or reason when faced with their intrusive thoughts. I should know, because I have them. Logan feels ignored not only because Thomas is having trouble with his intrusive thoughts, but is not getting anything productive done. Intrusive thoughts are very annoying to say the least.
I agree entirely wit this comment, as someone who also deals with intrusive thoughts, ignoring logic and reason when facing them is something I do frequently
Seconded! One of by biggest theories going off this is that Logan *is* the next dark side, and only shows that side of himself when he isn't being listened to. Or, at the very least, the next dark side is a direct counter to Logan. :)
can we appreciate Logan's growth? he started off being completely unconcerned about Thomas's feelings and emotions, even regarding it as annoying or childish. he only paid attention to the logical side of things and didn't care much about how it made Thomas feel. but now he's actually trying to be more empathetic and help Thomas sort out his feelings, calm down when necessary and generally take care of himself more.
actually, he started off super ok with thomas being a little lenient with schedules for the sake of mental well being, but at the start of season 2 he kinda dropped all bit of emotion and started being more strict with schedules, but he's realizing slowly but surely it's okay to be emotional, which makes his growth all the more refreshing!
I feel so bad for Logan. He's constantly ignored/disregarded, assaulted and he's just trying to help. I could feel his pain when Thomas went to meet with Nico
If Patton's opposite is Janus (Beholders of Thomas' feelings and personal needs), and Roman's is Remus (Thomas' dreams and desires), it wouldn't make sense that Logan's opposite is Virgil but rather Virgil is his own manifestation, as well as Logan. I believe that Logan is going to be a dual representation rather than a split duo like Patton/Janus and Roman/Remus. He is the gray area between the "good" and the "bad" sides.
I have seen this theory that Roman and Remus can combine into one 🤔 if this is true then could that mean Logans opposite is already combined with him(The same person)
As Logan is the only one that saw that the dark sides have value when they first showed up it would be interesting to see that Logan was both a light and a dark side like Virgil. Cause Logic can be used to both positively and negatively effect someone's mental stability and their physical wellbeing, which Logan has shown to care about deeply. We already knew that he felt like he was being ignored, and his outburst and the orange eyes are Remus tell us this is still true...
@@naqidoesps4 ya, i looked it up and just finished watching it! it is 3:30 in the morning for me and I am tired so now my brain hurts and I didn't really understand much of it but it was good! thanks though
I know everyone is excited for the reveal of a new side (orange), or Remus's antics, but can we take a moment to appreciate how Logan was able to repeatedly recognize when Thomas was about to spiral (Through Remus's influence/visualized by what Remus's rube goldbergs), and three separate times, he allowed his schedule to take the back burner in favor of Thomas's wellbeing. Like he is Logic, and adhering to the schedule is not always the most logical thing to do.
Logan is amazing and loving. 1) Helping Thomas get a schedule. 2) Taking care of his health. 3) Validating him. 4) Being gentle to him. 5) Calming his fears.
Fander theorist 1 : ok So we finally are getting an orange character sadly probably will be evil Logan even though that would be pretty epic Fander theorist 2 : OK but what if it wasn’t even Logan still thinking on your page as well but like what if it’s the dumb side what does that sound stupid Fander theorist 1 : no no I see where you’re coming from Etc
I really like that when Logan is trying to reason with Remus, he explicitly mentions that Remus's role has value and will come in handy eventually, because it's the same lesson the sides had to learn when it came to Virgil.
@@princessthyemis the intrusive thoughts are letting you know that you aren’t addressing something. If you’re ignoring something important, intrusive thoughts come to slap you and point you in the right direction
The way that Logan holds out the "w" sound in "who is updog" and looks directly at Remus as he said it makes me think that he definitely knew what he was doing.
Random fact cause it’s 1am and why not- there’s a part of the rage theory that the sides “names” can’t be said in the series until they’re revealed. E.G Deciet wasn’t said until Janus came So this says that if the theory is right the new side would be rage because anger and wrath have already been said
The fact that Logan doesn't push him to just get on with stuff and looks out for Thomas' wellbeing and understands he's not doing well. That's huge growth from s1. Logan
Janus and Remus being the only people remotely aware of how much everyone is ignoring Logan is kind of sad. But it does make sense that they wouldn't point it out, as it will probably allow another Darkside to show up.
I hope at some point we do away with the concept of “Light and Dark” sides because even “wrath” if that is the orange side has a good purpose in people’s lives. Anger in healthy amounts allows one to stand up for themself or give motivation for something. Same if the orange is instead Pride, we need to be prideful of ourselves but too much pride can lead to huge egos and thus quick to rage.
@@ApexCalibre yeah, the series has continuously showed us that even the "light/good" sides of us can hurt us if allowed to take complete control and overshadow every other side. There's a need for balance and cooperation between all of the sides so that one can lead a healthy life. I think the dark sides are called that because we usually think of exhibiting that kind of behaviour as bad, whereas the Light sides are the ones whose existence we tend to encourage and think of as nothing but good. Lying, living in fear and letting intrusive thoughts take up your mind are seen as something bad and Ambition and Creativity, Empathy and Logic are seen as something great that can keep the former three in check, but the truth is Caution, and whatever Janus and Remus embody (wit and cynicism? nihilism? destructive creativity?) are just as necessary to keep the others from becoming too much.
@@angelic252 Janus can also be seen as governing outer presentation in society and self-preservation, so that's his positive purpose. Remus I'm less sure of, but maybe dark creativity? Or maybe self-awareness, given that he tends to bring darker thoughts to light.
I feel like the main colors of each side are gonna complete a rainbow, with the "dark" sides being the opposites to the "light" sides in the color wheel, because remus was the mirror version of roman, and also the complementary color for roman's red, which might indicate that Janus or deceit is somehow a mirror version of anxiety, going off their colors (maybe even virgil was the "dark" side of janus in the first place, but idk) meaning the new orange side that might be coming is a warped or mirror version of Patton and Logan (the color wheel would give both blues an orange hue as complementaries) with something about them being about a "bad" type of logic. -edit: i think virgil and deceit being "opposites" makes sense, as maybe Thomas might view anxiety as some sort of "self-deceit" into thinking something is scary or... Well... Anxiety deserving, than it should be. (Also sorry for bad English, it isn't my first language)
That's a stretch. Looking at such truths is only a byproduct of interacting with Remus; as we've seen, Remus only wants Thomas to acknowledge his ideas.
I love that Remus is basically honesty in some weird way. Logan represses his own feelings, Roman hides his self-esteem issues, Virgil has A TON of secrets, Janus is DECEIT, and Patton has repressed his feelings, Thomas' scary thoughts, and he's tried to sugar-coat what he thought Thomas' morals should be (even when he wasn't sure). Remus has been completely honest this whole time. Remus doesn't care about how Thomas thinks of him, he just wants Thomas to acknowledge his way of creativity (even then, he's just doing his own thing).
intrusive thoughts aren't necessarily true, though; a lot of them aren't. with intrusive thoughts, you just need to see them, acknowledge them, and then move on with your day (because ignoring them makes them louder). ascribing too much significance to intrusive thoughts can be very destructive.
@@AwkwardDancer93 of course normal instructive thoughts have little to no meaning, but when they get more violent and frequent, it’s usually because you’re repressing something
Okay, can we appreciate how much Logan is growing and taking on criticism? He’s allowing Thomas more free time even if he made plans, EVEN when Thomas doesn’t ask for it, he’s sticking around while Thomas is on edge (notice the lack of other sides) and is making sure he’s okay. We love Logan, is what I’m saying. Oh, and I also feel sad about the ending now :)
I loved how we could still see Virgil at work even if we couldn’t see him physically. Such good attention to detail. And yeah Frl Remus was really just poking Virgil this whole video
Logan’s speech about not being flashy and not being able to get through to someone was very well written. Logic gets often ignored in favor of more impulsive anxieties and fits of human passion. But we all need a little logic to keep us balanced
adding in the fact that Thomas was constantly feeling alone ( If I die, no one would be able to save me if I choked ) paralleled Logan’s feeling throughout the series ( but not in the ‘ I want a romantic relationship’ way but in a I don’t want to be ignored kind of way) Thomas felt alone during most of the episode and Logan did his best to help, and it starts working ( their relationship; Thomas actually cleaning and stuff) until Thomas leaves and ignores his wishes once more, I know this seems kind of obvious but I love how they portrayed it.
Can I just say, Thomas woke at 2:00pm, did other stuff for about 20mins, and coloured until 3:20pm. He coloured for an hour, and I don’t know why, but that makes me so happy
“Everything is just fine” then queue the orange eyes + stop ignoring me from Logan? Yh, the orange side is anger. With Thomas’ religious upbringing, social anxiety, eagerness to be a “good person” and the amount of time Logan is ignored& his subsequent anger, no wonder Wrath has been suppressed for so long and Logan has been able to have so much power over the dark sides.
I'm not sure he has that much more power over them. He might just look through their bs easier than the other sides because he is, well thinking logically
You makes such a good point about Thomas repressing his anger! I've always been the person that was like 'oh yeah i never get angry, you've never seen me truly mad' and when I told this to my therapist she just sighed and said 'you must be so angry at yourself because you don't know where to direct your anger otherwise'. And she was so right! And when you look at Thomas it could very well be the same case, just looking at his insecurities for instance!
Their both the wine aunt, if all the sides had a dinner logan and janus would be talking to each other because I feel they are very similar, patton would be with roman, virgil would be in a corner or at a table listening to MCR and panic!at the disco, and remus would just be that one annoying child that bothers everyone but logan and janus are too focused on their conversation to care simple.
Most people are rarely angry for no reason, there’s often (at the very least in their mind) a logical reason behind their rage Logan never shows many emotions, or claims to not have them. However, on a many many occasions we have seen him portray one emotion, and that’s anger. It makes sense that logic, could be the center for rage. It also makes sense that he would try to keep it locked away
meaning Logan could be both dark blue and orange as a side mhh i see thomas took inspiration from a certain book about a logical man having a anger monster inside of him
Logan has most definitely shown emotion on a number if occasions. Happiness being one of them. Atleast in the earlier episodes. Logan does not smile anymore.
anyways responding to op, he also experiences fear. is he virgil? and idk man, Logan isnt the only one getting angry in this episode. even while Logan is talking to Remus we see clips of c!Thomas getting angry at Nico for not responding. and interestingly enough, he gets angry at Nico when they both have knifes, despite this being a fake scenario he imagined. doesnt seem like an exactly logical reason to get worked up
Janus eating the apple after saying "Everything is just fine." - THE SYMBOLISM - foreshadowing that we are going to learn more about the orange side soon!!! AHHHH
@@Ashokas_Wheelhouse That's what I meant by the symbolism, the apple/tree of knowledge and all that, it is VERY damn cool, I love that stuff in Sanders Sides
We all talking about Logan and the wine, but let’s not skip over Remus and his “dunce” hat then proceeding to belt “All by myself” (OR THE LOGAN ORANGE EYES EITHER-)
i saw an animatic where logan turned into a dark side, becoming the orange side. and i feel like that theory is gaining more weight and might be cannon. idk
Also with the orange eyes at the very end. I think this new relationship Thomas is having will result in a cheater since Janus was there. Aka meaning deceit in a relationship
I've always loved that the Dark Sides have positive aspects to them, and the implication in this video that the "good" sides could have darker aspects absolutely thrills me. Any trait in an extreme can be hazardous.
Well, the thing about the sides is they only are a part of Thomas personality wich means they are all extremist in there particular domain. And no matter what, being an extremist is never good.
@@grayish2538 Well, to me atleast, he almost seems to represent truth in a way. Like he said in his introduction episode "I would never lie to you Thomas". Which seems to have rained true and makes sense. Remus encompasses intrusive thoughts primarily, now, I need to make sure I word this correctly because its very confusing and took me a minute to wrap my head around. He's definitely the most complicated side imo, lol. Ok so, intrusive thoughts are.. how do I put this? Not exactly "telling" of a person, they arent something you inherently plan to do or even want to do. But you still thinks those thoughts which CAN mean something. Now, it has been brought up in episodes before that thoughts don't have to have any meaning whatsoever. Im inclined to believe that about say, the bear trap, or the knife flying through the air. However, for the three primary intrusive thoughts of the video 1 thing is consistent and that is what they are alluding to. That being Thomas's fear of being alone. Take the oat meal scene for starters, Remus gives Thomas the thought of "What if there's something in my food and I choke and die" Thomas proceeds to express to Logan that if that happened there'd be no one there to help him. He'd be doomed do to his being alone and would die alone in the process. The closet? While that's probably the most subtle of the examples here, it still contributes to the overall point. Generally when you live with someone the fear of someone hiding in your home to kill you is diminished, and/or if that were to happen you arent alone, you'd have someone there to help you, protect you, watch you back. Also if someone were to break in to kill you and your there alone then dieing alone is simply a thought that will resurface. Lastly there's the Nico scene/the knife scene, a fear that Nico doesn't actually like him and will leave him. Aswell as a perpetuation of the idea that if Thomas doesn't end it first then Nico will and that will hurt more. To put it into words most everyone has heard re-iterated time and time again in some story, or series, or media, Kill or be Killed or more accurately Hurt, or get Hurt. Resulting in ending up right back where we started sad, afraid, and alone. Remus's role is messy, its scary, its uncomfortable but it IS important. He helps Thomas to realize some unsavory truths. In his own, very, very roundabout way. Remus and Janus are almost a weird antithesis to each other. Janus lies to Thomas, i.e Thomas lying to himself about how truthful he is, but he also gets Thomas to lie to others to protect him. Janus or your decit could represent when your mental health is in the gutter and a friend asks if your ok, your uncomfortable and afraid to talk about it, so your decit has you say "Im fine" to protect you, it doesn't want you to be distressed or to break down so it puts a sheild of false stableness up to keep you safe. While Remus can represent those horrible thoughts that you have when your mental health isn't doing well, the thoughts that you explain to you therapist that they proceed to decifer and use to unveil the truth of you issues, and once you have realized those, potentially ugly and uncomfortable truths, you can then work them out. Id go as far as to say Remus is one of if not the most important or prominent side when contributing to working out mental health. He shows you whats wrong so you can fix it. Remus is step number one to being in a good place mentally.
did u notice they were orange? one of the colors that hasn't been a part of them, red for roman orange for no one yellow for deceit light blue for patton dark blue for logan purple for virgil what's missing is pink and orange, my theory for a long time has been that virgil has split just like roman into anxiety and paranoia I'm thinking maybe logan is splitting too?
@@scocopat457 that actually makes sense because one of the things orange represents is ambition (I think). Since Logan is so set in getting this done at certain times, I wouldn't be too surprised if he were to get out of hand and split up.
It’s the dark side of rage or wraith, showing its presence in the one side that’s been building up to a break, I’m so glad they’re introducing the new in the next sanders sides!
The orange side is most likely to be Wrath as everyone is theorizing. But Id just like to take a moment to appreciate how far this series has come as it literally started with him taking to himself in a room and now its a whole ass miniseries with cinematography!
It kind of only just sank in that Logan and Remus fighting is literally Thomas's Logic trying to fend off his intrusive thoughts in a visual representation of the battle leaving him a wreck throughout the episode. In the end, Remus wins not bc his distractions worked but bc the random intrusive thoughts were a symptom of Thomas being unable to stop thinking about this issue with Nico, THAT was what was actually intruding on his ability to focus on the tasks, including the little fun tasks Logan sets to try and soothe the random episodes - the alarms (literal reminders of the pressuring schedule Logan set) go off and interrupt the nice and fun task (which he's supposed to do until the intrusive thoughts are soothed I.e. representing him paying attention to his mental health) which both breaks his calm focus on the colouring/puzzle/dancing and draws his attention back to his phone and the still unanswered message to Nico. It's all connected, one thing leading to the next and in the process Logan was distracted by the random intrusive thoughts, missing that it wasn't actually something like a screw in the oatmeal or a house intruder that he's focusing too much on, it's a totally separate issue that the alarms he told Thomas to set are constantly reminding him of! And judging by Remus saying (well, singing) "can't fix him all by yourself" he's aware of the true root of the issue and knows Logan isn't...was this his reason for being such a pain? Logan tried to say that he acknoedges that there must be some use for Remus existence at some point but right now Logan is doing something more relevant and important, but that common sense doesn't change the fact that last night was when Thomas sent that text so it's today he's freaking out over it - no amount of calming yourself down from random intrusive thoughts will change that Thomas has something to be concerned about (From his perspective). Logan is trying so hard but just isn't able to pick up on what's ACTUALLY going through Thomas head, or why he jumps at the chance to reassure himself that Nico wants to spend time with him, I think THATS what Remus can bring to the table - understanding the less reasonable parts of how Thomas's mind works!
LOGAN NEEDS A RAISE, HE WAS HELPING THOMAS EVEN WITH HIS SCHEDULE AND THEN GETS LEFT AT THE END AND THEN ORANGE EYES AND THEN JANUS AND HOLY CRAP IM DYING
This actually was heart breaking. Logan was doing his best for a middle ground, especially knowing Remus' was scheming since the beginning (or at least since he found Thomas in the bathroom) and did his best using methods undoubtedly either Virgil, Patton or Roman suggested/showed him. But from what I saw no one mentioned how Janus' words at the end are a huge red flag. Once again, Thomas is deceiving himself. Before it was about Deciet's existence. Then it was about Patton's stability. Now it's Logan and OH BOY A STORM'S A BREWING
also the whole roman/janus situation at the end of putting others first. seems like everyone forgot about that- all the sides are fucked up. a storm is coming indeed
@@CoolioCats614 Why is it that Virgil seems to be trying to be mediator and suppress what he's actually feeling? he's rarely letting things slip. Patton is being completely blinded by himself and V recognizes it. he's recognizing the red flags and is trying to stop the storm that could ruin Thomas' life. It's not only dangerous for him, but the danger for the other sides and Thomas seems to be getting worse by the second.
@@Goofy_friend It's hard to say if this is before or after the Redux considering Janus seems to be where he can't be seen and Roman and Patton seem to be on decent terms. So this very much could be the lead in before then, but it's hard to say when either the recent Asides took place exactly. Though could be safe to assume it's why Virgil wasn't in the Redux to begin with
@@CoolioCats614 It's after the Redux. Thomas and team said that, unless they specify otherwise in the episode, all the episodes of Sides and Asides take place in chronological order of publication
Someone on Tumblr pointed out that if you look at Thomas’s phone, the date says *April 20.* That means chronologically, this happened only _a week_ after "Putting Others First". No wonder tensions seem so high between the Sides, especially in the end card. Everything that happened is still very fresh in their minds.
How come Virgil seemed touchy with Patton, tho? Virgil had no participation in that episode. Maybe he was told about it later, and he’s taking a side? Ngl, if he is, and it’s seemingly against Patton, then it would have to be Roman’s side, which could also explain why they seemed to be getting along in Flirt or Flight. Which would be adorable, cause like, PRINXIETYYYYYY
@@winterling223 I think it's more because he's still sort of mad about Patton treating him like he's younger than the rest, but I also can't imagine he wasn't aware of what happened in POF since everyone else (meaning Remus) seems to be?
I find it interesting that right before the “Stop ignoring me” part, we see Thomas get mad over, in his eyes, being ignored by Nico. You can see frustration and bitterness in that moment. He hadn’t shown anger towards the lack of a response earlier. He was upset/disappointed but Logan’s calmness attempted to keep him on track. only once Logan snapped and lashed out in anger did Thomas feel angry and rejected. Really cements in my mind that not only is the Orange Side Rage/Wrath, but that Logan is a bit more connected to him than just being his counterpart, like Janus/Patton and Roman/Remus. They both have unique relationships to their parallel, Roman and Remus being brothers, so it’s not too far fetched. I think it’s really cool to consider that rage only comes out when logic can’t function correctly, making him more rare to see and honestly a lot scarier than the others that can exist alongside their opposite. That means Logan is responsible for keeping him at bay, and if he is a part of him it makes sense that when that part of him is triggered he gets angry. To add on to that, I’m gonna point out that Logan, despite claiming to not have emotions, has the most anger out of everyone else throughout the series, maybe even beating Roman, who represents ego. Just some food for thought. Edit- Hi- Just adding on to this because I have nothing better to do. I don’t think the orange side will be solely rage or fury, I just think that’ll be a big part of him. No side is one thing, they’re complicated, and that has been explored quite a bit in the newer episodes (particularly with Janus so far). I can’t predict Orange’s exact name, I just usually call him rage because that’s what makes the most sense to me. I’m pretty confident the orange side will have something to do with lashing out in anger based on the hint in this video, because that hasn’t really been explored yet. But, adding on to my initial theory, it has been shown, just not focused on. Overlooked, even. Like when Logan threw the crumbled up paper in anger. Or when Logan yelled angrily at Janus in the courtroom. Those were both small instances, but they’re both notable in my head because of how sudden the reaction was (and them both being from Logan, of course). The reactions in those two examples were also in response to being insulted. That made me think the orange side might have to do with some kind of pride, but I don’t know, Roman is already ego and those are quite similar so probably not. Still a possibility. Another thing, after Logan threw the paper, he apologized and said he should probably leave, but was promptly forced to stay. To add on to the idea that he doesn’t like to be involved in discussions while he’s angry, though this may be a stretch, in the Selfishness vs. Selflessness video (pt 2), Thomas starts off very angry and furious over feeling ignored at the wedding. Logan is not here for this, but once Thomas calmed down and not focused on that does Logan choose to pop up and share his thoughts. While, yes, he did say he wasn’t an expert in this area and that was the apparent reasoning, he also made a comment on not wanting to waste energy (or something along those lines). I just found that weird but I could be wrong. Sorry if this was a bit too scrambled and all over the place, I just felt like sharing more thoughts because I’m kind of hyperfixated on all of this lol. Thanks for reading :) Edit 2 : Sorry sorry last edit I swear- just kidding it probably won’t be knowing me lol- Thanks so much for the input and comments on this, seeing other fans views is so cool and you’re all really nice, I appreciate it a lot! The puzzle thing could actually be a call back to the Q&A video though because Logan's answer to a question like "how do you like to relax after a hard day?" is puzzling. But liking puzzles fits both Logan and Patton's personalities. So you could be correct.
Can we appreciate how everything that Remus does is a perfect representation on how intrusive thoughts snowball when you leave them unattended and how one intrusive thought creates a domino effect of intrusive thoughts.
I love think about how Thomas just sits reading long complicated comments about theory’s and such just laughing because he actually knows who is correct and who is wrong.
I just realized, when Remus was messing with Thomas it was like he was also messing with Roman, Virgil, and Patton. Remus first reminded that Thomas had no one with him, which messes with Roman. Then he made Thomas paranoid about someone breaking in, which messes with Virgil. Then last was him trying to make Thomas stab Nico testing Thomas's morality, AKA messing with Patton.
Remus made a huge mistake showing Logan the list because he was just giving away what he was gonna do. That is how Logan was able to stop the things happening.
That is true but with Remus' unpredictability it could have all been a trick even doe he isn't much of a liar so he could have if he would have done it more elegantly caught Logan in a paradox of did he say the truth or not but luckily Logan is too smart for that
I thought the list was supposed to be Thomas' to-do list made by Remus? Cause he said Thomas was "double booked," meaning Re already had a schedule for Thomas. Why would Thomas' schedule be to make those traps?
My heart broke when Logan was just standing in the apartment all by himself when he tried so hard and was meeting everyone halfway like even talking to Remus to find a middle ground...Im so sad, i just want to hug Logan so bad...I also feel this so much right now, i have so many chores to do and im gonna go and work through as much as i can! For Logan!
He has come so far, and is able to acknowledge when Thomas isn't in the right headspace to think logically so instead of trying to force him to think logically he gives him something to relax and get back to that positive headspace to then do what they need to. But then the other sides and even Thomas sometimes will ignore him, tease him, and just argue against him. Poor boy : (
as someone who pays accidentally notices teeny tiny details, and who overthinks things, imma just say that the background of the messy stairs was brilliant. it was FILLED with green. littered with it basically. green is Remus's color as we know. and the room is littered with it. The fact we get to see Logan respond with “coffee.” Despite the fact we know he barely took a few sips of it before replacing it with wine made my day.
Does anyone else notice when Patton says "Roman is right" that Roman gives Patton a side glance of like not believing/trusting Patton's words. Like he doesn't want give his hopes up in case because of what happen in redux?
ALSO did you also noticed when Virgil threw shade at Patton? There's a lot of tension between the sides, there's not much communication going on, we especially see that in this video, AND I think the Art that said "Stay connected" or something along those lines may be hinting at the disconnection Thomas is feeling not only with himself but the disconnection between his sides too!
Tha saddest thing is that Logas IS trying to communicate and not only help himself but help Thomas and the others but he just keeps getting pushed aside and ignored. My heart literally broke when he was trying to get through Remus and Remus just kept ignoring him but I also think this was crucial for the tension to start to slip through the cracks. As they say things get worse before they get better.
@@mizlarie1040 Oh yeah and the fact that Janus is still hiding in the way up of the tree plus you can see Logan's face being hurt by Roman's comment about the dishes but it isn't about that. It's about Thomas and everybody else not respecting his role as logic.

Okay theory. Remus wasn’t trying to get to Thomas. He was trying to get to Logan, through Thomas. He forced Logan to confront him, and pushed until those eyes came out
As an addition, Remus is right. Logan wants to scream at Thomas. He’s so used to being ignored as Thomas either sides with Patton and Roman for fun, or Virgil to deal with his feelings. Logan is ignored. And we see Logan in that moment parallel Thomas. He reverted to normal as soon as Thomas realised he wasn’t being ignored. Even more so when that ignoring had a logical explanation. It might be that he’s far more connected to Thomas’ emotions than the others.
I didn't think of it that way... yea maybe Remus wasn't trying to get to thomas but instead he was trying to get the dark side version of Logan to come out
Right after Remus said "And who do you really want to scream that at?" I got an ad for "Mr. Clean magic erasers!" I guess Remus's hatred for soap transcends even into the ads...
“You’re the least favorite side and you know it.” “Logan, can you stop?” “Not that any of you care, but I am unharmed.” This has been happening for a while. Logan :(
Patton even took the chance to skip Logan’s text in Svs redux. Just passed him by like he wasn’t valid. I feel awful for Logan like really he’s so taken for granted
Wait... is Remus craftier than we give him credit for? He was making it out like he was trying to bring down Thomas the whole day, but in the end, it was Logan that had the breakdown...
@@theantagonist2589 To be fair they are both Thomas, Remus was actively bringing down Thomas by bringing down Logan, it's just that Logan didn't see it coming, which is a bit ironic considering tactical battle strategies should really be in his wheel house

To his thinking, he's not in a battle, he wants to work *with* Remus and the others, and his priority isn't "winning" but it's giving Thomas the best life he can within his own capabilities.
I think it's more interesting that Logan acknowledged that whatever Remus was trying to do could help Thomas, just that he disagreed with it and wanted to help him differently today.

I literally screamed when Logan's eyes went Orange. There's an animatic over the song "Erased Me" and it totally predicted this. If anyone sees this comment, I highly recommend it.
Intrusive thoughts can magnify underlying problems in your daily life and Remus has now twice brought attention to the source of problems. First being Remus' introduction brought more adult humor and content in the series, now Remus is pointing out that having Nico in Thomas' life is distracting him from taking time to better himself as well as basic self care.
Which is why I think Patton doesn't like Nico. I can't remember which video but when they brought up Nico, Patton got really uncomfortable. Nico is giving Thomas more things to worry about, which means he's giving Remus more fuel.
The orange side is coming, it might be when Logan snaps, when the others ignore him, again. In the past, he was able to control his anger at times, but it seems like he's breaking.
Agreed. Logan is being ignored more & more, and it is wearing on him. Soon he will not show up when the sides need him and instead the orange side will appear. That's my guess.
Definitely. Like it’s a slow progression in the series but little by little he’s getting more ignored and pushed aside and the others are taking his input and ignoring it in favor of their own. Look at svs redux, while we were all floundering over Pattons transformation and Romans angst, no one payed attention to Logan. He was insulted. His text was skipped by Patton as soon as the option arrived. He was kidnapped and no one realized. Over and over again he’s disregarded and we can see it starting to get to him. I think if he snaps we are gonna see the birth of a new side
and then in his second serious appearance he figured out _exactly_ which of Logan's buttons to push, whereas in his first episode he had everyone _but_ Logan pinned down?
What Remus said at 22:30 could mean: 1. Logan could off wanted to shout at the others as they always forgot he was there and make fun of him. This could mean this was the creation of Orange (I believe may be Rage, Revenge or Pain) or Awaking of him. 2. Logan wants to shout at Orange as maybe Orange is kinda like a voice in his head. This is a head cannon:Orange was a Light Side but he was annoying and he left to join the Dark sides.

I love how Remus could have so easily just done half of the things to freak Thomas out himself, but instead, he relies on the most convoluted 'Home alone' stunts
I think those weird things were a metaphor for the 'subconcious' 'thought process' behind intrusive thoughts that no-one is aware of that end up leading to the intrusive thought.
Everyone's talking about the orange Side and Logan finally reaching his limit and other important things, but I just wanna take a second to appreciate the idea of Remus having a spanking fetish and trying to get Logan to participate in some teacher-student BDSM roleplay with him. It's, like, the most fitting thing ever.
He also had all of his chaos in the form of Rube Goldberg contraptions needlessly complicated and dramatic to do something like throw knives, open doors and, make the bed
@@acetraineraster5171 also did we get a possible orange side name reveal? During the end card, Logan mentioned Apollo. It could have just been the Greek god of the sun, but Logan wouldn't be one to call upon aso called "god," especially when it's not one that Thomas would believe in. Idk, I just chose to spitball here, get my idea out.
Ok but Logan literally set aside what he wanted so Thomas could actually function and then Thomas ditched. Also I love the intrusive thoughts examples in this. I have had a bunch of the ones in video and I just relate so much. I also thought it was so cool that we saw what he was imagining in his mind and that the line between his imagination and reality was so blurred.
I expected the other sides to appear... like, Virgil when the door was open (like, THAT was quite a panic attack) or Patton when Thomas was so low and sad about being alone. Or Roman when "Disney princess puzzle", heh. Logan handeled it all very well alone... as always. He's the best 😔. Oh, and... do we know when will the next chapter come out?? I'm sooo intrigued.
Especially since he's been pushed to the side for the last few episodes
I agree entirely wit this comment, as someone who also deals with intrusive thoughts, ignoring logic and reason when facing them is something I do frequently
Thomas also ignored logan at the end.
Man I miss this fandom :']

@@mysterygirl1450 and if that theory is correct, we could assume that the "orange side" and Logan are about to split one day.
As Logan is the only one that saw that the dark sides have value when they first showed up it would be interesting to see that Logan was both a light and a dark side like Virgil.

I really like that when Logan is trying to reason with Remus, he explicitly mentions that Remus's role has value and will come in handy eventually, because it's the same lesson the sides had to learn when it came to Virgil.
I think that’s exactly what Remus wanted him to say, because Logan wants to feel wanted and Remus is trying to get Logan to express those feelings

I feel like they’re the ones who notice because they know what it feels like being ignored
I love how Remus’s role is actually just forcing people to look at uncomfortable truths
That's a stretch. Looking at such truths is only a byproduct of interacting with Remus; as we've seen, Remus only wants Thomas to acknowledge his ideas.
@@Chestnut-xm2pv Remus's song had a section where he talks about how understanding oneself is crucial.

It's so hard to see how Remus has a positive trait though. Like he should have one but like.... WHAT IS IT? It's driving me insane.
@@grayish2538
Well, to me atleast, he almost seems to represent truth in a way.

@@scocopat457 that actually makes sense because one of the things orange represents is ambition (I think). Since Logan is so set in getting this done at certain times, I wouldn't be too surprised if he were to get out of hand and split up.

@@moniquet6017 why not both? both make sense. :D
Im kinda thinking its like... intuition or something.
Or impulsiveness
Since when ur impulsive, you can't think logically

It could have just been the Greek god of the sun, but Logan wouldn't be one to call upon aso called "god," especially when it's not one that Thomas would believe in. Idk, I just chose to spitball here, get my idea out.

"Looks like someone is getting fired up!"
Foreshadowing.
"Are nerds in blue ties bothering you?" no. logan is a gift.
Logan could *never* bother us.

Sides imperfect

Lil fun fact: I came here to try to distract myself bc someone is not answering my messages (one of my uhhh three friends) and istead i ended almost crying bc I feel same as Logan. Yay...
The depiction of intrusive thoughts as physical traps and such is really good. Very simple things can sometimes cause you to think of the worst things possible due to a small connecting thread.
Also as an autistic person the "I can't eat this." "Why?" "I don't know. It feels wrong." is such a mood for me.
I agree. I deal a lot woth those kind of thought and it literally always goes on like that. It'd be funny if it weren't so draining^^
SAME the food thing is me
That’s how I feel about making direct eye contact! There’s no other way to describe it than ‘wrong’.
