I do hate when it’s packed and I wish the lounges were bigger. But at least I feel safe enough to leave my bad unattended when I do find a spot. I’m a solo traveler so if I was out in the public I would have to lug all my belongings everywhere. In the bathroom, in line to get food, to the water fountain. It sucks big time.
There is an article from WSJ on lounges, they used to be a premium spot for travellers to take a rest inbetween long haul flights. Though now they are extremely packed and full of people eating like theres no tomorrow.
With all those people in there, you might as well go to the gate and wait. The food is a good perk if you’ve got a layover and need a bite before your next flight, but I wouldn’t get to the airport early just for this.
Trust me I was just at the SkyClub in LAX and it was nice and spacious free food and drinks I got to see planes land and take off. When I got to my gate to board it was so packed. What I’m trying to get it is that lounges are very comfortable and relaxing compared to standing around at the gates.
I love the lounges because there’s actually outlets that work. Can’t count the number of times I’ve had to wait at an airport without access to a way to charge my devices
Hmmm…thought the centurion lounges were supposed to be the worlds best and exclusive…. My first lounge experience was last summer and it was in the Maple Leaf lounge and it looked about the same as what you were showing.
@@jdbdidoekI mean yea but it’s 50 dollars to bring a guest, deterrent for ppl with big families but not enough when you account the cost of airport food 😭
Amex plat, Rolex, it’s all the same and everyone has one now. Since they raised the fees they knew old customers would leave and they got an influx of new applications that are young and willing to pay.
I would love them to raise the plat fee to 1500. Idc about the perks tired of all the people. If you disagree then you are the person I want out of the lounge
Amex handing out these cards like candy, I got approved with a 640 credit score with serious delinquency in past year. I just got this card because I travel a lot for work and my company reimburses me every year for the fee. The lounge is terrible in DFW, Miami, and CLT, I much prefer the ones in Europe or Asia.
Pretty much every lounge operator has been clamping down on access because of the overcrowding. Delta lounges have been crazy packed the last couple of years and even the centurions are quite busy most of the time. Everyone is figuring out these lounges are a way better experience than sitting in the terminal.
What are your thoughts on the Amex authorized user increases on the Platinum recently? I have no need for the platinum and even with all the credits, I would use most and my effective fee would be $100, but the multipliers are horrible and don't fly enough to justify right now. I upgraded my Green to Gold and those two I can justify more than Platinum at the moment. Maybe someday. As far as the lounges, I would rather pay the $50 just for that one time if I only go once a year on a lounge during a layover before a flight. Much more, than I would rather get my own Platinum. I have no authorized users and no children on my account, so the recent changes wouldn't affect me at all.
As an employee go rid the platinum thats for sure. Go get chase sapphire. Its not about loyalty. Its how you can maximize or as you said justify keeping it.
That's..... nowhere near as extravagant as I thought it would be. I'd rather just purchase a nice meal at one of the many nice restaurants in the airport and have a whole table to myself with outlets and nobody asking to see my boarding pass. F paying $600 a year for that.
Yall Americans complain too much. Not everyone is in your shoes. Free food and alcohol come on 6/10. SERIOUSLY. You're not in the regular airport where everyone is at When I go to the lounge, I remember where I started....
They need to make that lounge bigger it’s like the size of a kids play room
literally. LAX as well
They just did that at SEA
Damn why is it packed? It's about the same as being outside of the lounge if you're gonna be fighting for chairs and tables

Centurion used to be about luxury. Now it's a big cafeteria.
The lounge doesn't scream exclusivity unlike those in Middle East and The Private Room in Changi.
Agreed 😂
The Centurion Lounges are too crowded these days to enjoy them.

I have the amex platinum. But judging from how packed and overcrowded it is. It seems it is no longer a exclusive card

the wifi makes up for the crowd tbh

They need to take a lesson from Qatar and Dubais lounges. This is not spacious.
But it looks so crowded just like everywhere else at the airport
Looks like a Greyhound Bus terminal. Not only is that not impressive, it’s downright embarrassing. Everyone looking like a schlep rock commoner.
This place looks packed still
Are they still overcrowded
Nope. The new guest rules are proving effective
I can agree was pretty crowded in there
AMEX decided to solve this problem by raising the requirements to bring guests to the lounge, it's starting to work
@@jdbdidoekI mean yea but it’s 50 dollars to bring a guest, deterrent for ppl with big families but not enough when you account the cost of airport food 😭

Thank you for sharing. There are other great AmEx locations as well. It is nice!!😊😊

Can you access the lounyif you just flying into Miami and not flying out?
Ewww that place is crowded af
Went tot the one at Atlanta's Int'l; the lounge tends to get overcrowded.
Does this apply for the gold card too?
Always great food in Miami. I have never had a bad meal🎉
Food was awesome! I recently went to LGA lounge and really enjoyed their food as well
That lounge is crowded
Does the gold Amex card get access to lounges or is it only the platinum
Now only the Amex Platinum, and Delta Sky Miles Reserve have lounge access. The Platinum Delta Sky Miles does not have lounge access as well.
can youget there with the gold card?
you feel so exclusive in jfk cuz it’s not packed like a fish market in here
Did u have any blog with Bangladesh air port?

The Houston one is so damn far away and hidden it's not even worth going to. Unless you have a layover.
Everybody paying $695 and sitting around on their cell phones lol
As crowded as a flea market lol..

Why are there a bunch of people there? lol that doesn't seem that exclusive to me.

Tbh im just there to booze and shower lmao. Cocktails are good, but United lounge food is better tbh.
Used to take my wife in free of charge, now it’s $50 and that’s if you’re lucky enough to get in. Used to a sweet deal..
Too much overcrowding for free guests
Is this once annually or each time?
@@kloschuessel773 each time
Good, then the lounges won't be as crowded as the main gate, they should make it $100 in my opinion.
@@kloschuessel773each time.
I’m pretty sure you reviewed the worst centurion lounge or one of the worst
mmmnnn a crowd of A types
Looks just as busy as the regular airport meh
What wallet is that?
The lounge looks like a wet market
Not a very nice place you relax if you ask me. 😂
Is see it as a crowded place in another area of the airport for 695$🤭….NO THANK YOU.
It’s packed in there😂 hard pass
You need to cover your ID and card in film lol
Always pack with coughing people. Terrible.
That food does look good, sorry, you made me hungry 😢

All you can drink too
Just make the card annual fee to be $995
This would be nice if traveling through an international airport
Damn! Super average lounge. The ones in India are far far better.
Nice
Thank you!
Nah. Not worth it.
They are rubbish used to be good now crwp
McDonald's is honestly better no hate
So level up and get the black! Come on now, stop complaining.

Do they swipe the card ?
Thank you for convincing me not to get this card pretty easily. They need to up the fee for that card significantly and kick all the poor people out.
It’s called the black card ;)
They just did. Increase the annual fee for extra authorized users. From $185 I believe to $585
😂😂
If you were wealthy, you’d be flying private. Stop LARPing.
Imagine being poor and using a commercial airline 🤮🤮🤮
