The only 2 ways to beat Menno are: 1- You use all your best moves in the three rounds against Menno. Bboys like Hiro10, Issin, Wing, Pocket, Lil Zoo... who have limited but explosive rounds, must use their best moves without saving anything for later rounds, otherwise, you won't beat him. Unfortunately, it's usual that these bboys use a lot of these powerful moves in earlier rounds, so when they face Menno in semis or in the final, they don't have much moves left. That's why Wing, Taisuke and Icey Ives couldn't beat Menno in the final in previous years. 2- The average score of your rounds are higher than Menno's rounds in all phases. Menno doesn't have explosive moves, but his average score per round is very high. Everytime Menno passed the first round (except in 2015, when he lost to Pocket in quarter finals) he ended winning the belt because he never runs out of moves. The only Bboy who I think has a better average score throughout all the phases than Menno is Hong10. It's a shame that Hong10 didn't want to participate this year... It could have been an epic fight if they had to battle each other.
Thats how he ruins breakdance. He doens't bring in a lot of creativity or positive inspiration. What the youngsters gonna learn from him is to play safe to win instead of taking risk, create new and explosive moves which took a lot of risks.
@@peterlee4574that part. Me being a young head too, I’m not blind. The optics don’t lie, if menno was against a line up of stacked breakers with abnormal styles and unique fundamentals, he wouldn’t win. And Icey Ives is solid as a breaker too and deserves his flowers. But he has a very classic style using musicality, then power into a freeze. And once the moves become a battle of technicality menno does his bullshit to secure his place. Not to mention if this was the event that was gonna put the scene on the map ( which I’m like there’s one event that does it once every year) and you show it to the broader audience, they’re not showing Menno Vs Icey Ives, it’s Hiro10 vs Samuka with zero context to where that took place in the competition.
