I watched the first 4 min and actually what I see is he is the only one contesting the payload while the team is just spectating and letting him and strange die.
5:40 Him pressing S makes sense as his team is not with him on the frontline, even if he is 350 hp and they are low they have at least 6x his abilities up and will instant delete him in a 1v6.

ideally if you were to contest a payload please use the walls around you instead of standing on top of the payload. The payload is unfortunately not very effective cover against 6 people shooting at you. For example where the "spectating team mates" were standing would be a great place for a tank to use the corner of the wall to contest the payload while occasionally using cover to heal up.
If both teams were to fight on top of the payload, naturally the attacking team who's job is to PUSH the payload would be at an advantage. The Attacking Team gets healing over time while standing on top of the payload while the Defending team does not. To optimally play this game mode the Defending Team should DEFEND important points of the MAP, NOT the Payload.
      TLDR:
The Goal of the Defending Team is not to push the payload so playing on top of the Payload isn't effective. It's better for Tanks to contest the payload while intelligently using cover to limit the amount of damage they take while their team supports them.
Hope that clears things up. Have a nice day

at 5:40 there's no reason for DPS and Supports to be in the frontline. Mr Fantasic IS the Frontline. Tanks create space for the team to follow up on. If the Tank backs up then there's nothing for the DPS to work with.
Mr. Fantastic in this clip is in Line of Sight with both healers and can easily sit at the doorframe he was at before to finish the Adam Warlock Rezzes.
Especially with 2 enemies down and looking at their team comp, there's nothing that could "instantly delete" him. Given how this guy had his Shift up I'm sure he would've been just fine to use his Shift ability once he drops to half and use cover to get healed. There's no threat of dying in this moment.
Therefore, he had no reason to press S.

@@dimithy Doesn't matter if you like the corner behind the payload more for cover, if both tanks are on the payload the team needs to follow or the fight is lost. Also there is a corner as well in front of the payload which the team could play around if they win the fight and if they loose the fight there is enough time to setup again as the payload is still close to the spawn.
"Attacking Team gets healing over time while standing on top of the payload while the Defending team does not." - Interesting, that was new to me, thanks for the info, will check it out.

@@dimithy "Especially with 2 enemies down" - They were not down it was 6 enemies alive again when he pressed S, they only died after Namor ult and that was also when he was going back in again.

@@QuantenMagier This is a different point on top of the previous one but.. I can agree that fighting on top of the payload can work situationally. However I believe that in this situation it would've been better to bait out cool-downs to gain the advantage before going for the fight on top of the payload. In that scenario no Tank, Support, or DPS were forced out beforehand which makes the odds of that teamfight against my Doctor Strange and Mr. Fantastic. Our Backline recognized this before our Tanks did and chose to live and regroup. The fight was practically over once Strange decided to go fight on top of the payload without prior setup to ensure that the fight was in his favor. The fight was 100% lost even more so once Mr. Fantastic followed his lead. Although Strange is making misplays in this situation and Mr. Fantastic is just following, I put the spotlight onto Mr. Fantastic due to his toxic behavior and putting the blame onto everyone but himself.
