I agree. Yet quite a few people have already played through two seasons prior. Yet not treating people like garbage, and helping the people around you makes these fights a lot easier. Even on Servitor, we one shot it with fresh 50s and one guy was even 32 in hard mode.
This popped up on my map last night and I had no idea what it was but saw 4 players were there. I'm so glad I didn't show up to embarrass myself without any knowledge of mechanics. Thanks!
Prime Wars seem to be the difficult thing of the week. Did this help you folks? You can do hard modes with around 5-6 people minimally. Good luck to everyone!
This helps with the small percentage of people who actually run these as warbands. In an actual public scenario, which 90% of these are from what it feels like, nobody ever brings heavy weapons, or literally anything. They just shoot their magazines dry on the trash like mindless lemmings and spam fences.
Do you have any tips how i could build my own team? I asked a few times already in world chat for people to join the fight, but we never got more then 8 people and even the lvl 50 players had no clue that you need explosives. It feels like my server is not only dead, but also the people have no clue what they are doing.
This type of content has a lot of randoms coming together and needs people coordinating. I was talking though in-game voice and typing to make sure people might be on the same page. Yet, even to get into hard, you need to complete easy modes, so that helps. Easy modes were very difficult to get done with all the crazy stuff happening.
While a I don't disagree, we went in with 4-5 people at most, not a warband worth. Easy mode is a crapshoot though. Once you get past Easy, Hard mode only is available to those who completed easy with a max rating.
That secret servitor is def haunting ppl. Thankfully in my server a couple warbands actually know something and can push through. I agree with others saying there should be a slight change on either open entry or a more forgiving wipe mechanic for those who don’t think and shoot at the same time.
Prime wars looks so cool. Definitely need coordination..I see people in the World chat communicating and I'm only lvl 27 and I'm was so confused about what they were talking about lol
Yes, when you get it right, it's almost a freebie, but a lot of coordination is the first step. Gotta' get people on the same page. Hopefully you get to experience them soon!
Hey I got a question, I have been trying to find these gatling cannons in memetics but I can only find close defense turrets, have they changed the name?
@@Xelray Oh ok thanks for the info, bro👍. Now I'm realizing after failing my first prime war, it's hard. Without the Turret and iyt's ammunition Biomass missile, I don't think nothing comes close to damaging the bosses other than rocket launcher which is less but still does something.
All it takes is one person to fire on the fake clone in Secret Servitor last phase to make everyone waste time and biomissiles. Given how easy it is to grief, intentionally or not, I don't think it's worth tackling that boss. Maybe they should rework the mechanic so that damage dealt to fakes heals the real one instead of triggering an auto-fail. That way one dumbass can't ruin it for everyone else.
This is a good criticism. I can get behind this. Because then you my be able to save the run. It is making everyone work together. And that sometimes just can't happen. In hard mode it felt better than easy mode at least.
We failed Secret Servitor 5x in a row on the server because people didnt listen. Can get quiet annoying when its public access and people just shoot the wrong one and wiping everyone
Does the Gatling Gun Specialization work using one someone else built or do I have to build my own? Does Fortress Warfare improve the damage of Gatling Cannons next to you or only weapon damage? Sidenote: For something that said "Biomass Missile" I thought it would be something you use with a missile launcher or the Rocket Launcher(because some people think those words are synonyms). I didnt expect it to be used in a "Gatling Cannon" which isnt a gatling gun AT ALL but more like a Tank's main cannon.
Yeah, the gatling cannon uses missiles, it's weird. Fortress warfare only buffs weapon damage, aka guns on your character. And the specialization would work for anyone using a turret you build, however, it seems the specialization isn't working as intended right now, should be a good perk when they fix it, it currently does nothing, at least on Prime War bosses.
Lag cap seems to be 20-25 players! If your world's chill just be vocal about checking player count and not joining at 20 Also secret servitor's lightning seems to not be a time limit/dps check but people doing too much damage to the wrong clones We thought it was the mechanic bugging out from lag as sometimes we got defeated WAY too quickly but it seems to be this, need to do a couple more runs to confirm Good guide though, basically what we've been doing on PVE SEA 1 and we've got sub 5 min completions on everything so far. Thanks for mentioning the fences. people doing that on objective had soft locked others out hound haha
That's good to hear, didn't know there was a sweat spot for lag to come into play. I thought it was that many people plus throwables. I don't think the lightning is a dps check, more of a logic check. Just only hit the right one, of course if you can kill it instantly, no big deal, yet it feels like every bullet on the wrong target sends lightning to your base. The wood fences specifically, people spam 100, and the build limit is 1280. If you did a little wall, or a snowflake of concrete fences, it is 5x + more effective. Thanks for the well written comment, appreciate it.
tbh after 15ish hours posting this video in world chat and trying to explain it to random people that are joining we are still doing the boss till this day cuz some people dont understand at all :D this boss drives me insane
I'd highly suggest getting a warband or group of people who you can trust, maybe 10~ from the server, start the fight with them, and don't tell world chat. Last night it took us about 15 seconds to finish the final boss phase after immunity, and I can for sure say it's not really a DPS check. Not firing until they stop and go into statue mode, seems important. Sometimes, the one I GOT BIG DPS guy can ruin it for everyone else in the servitor fight.

@@Xelray hahahaha I'll figure it out somehow. Btw they won that fight with a 32/40 prime war 2 days ago problem was I helped for 7 hours straight and the moment I took a break they actually managed to make it xD
The first one absolutely is. You get starchrom. Easy mode is 3x800, hard mode is 3x1000. After that, you can collect mods that have damage type specific attributes, yet, that's up to personal opinion if it's worth it.
So... what exactly is the point of doing Prime Wars? I know you "only" got a the 2nd tier reward there (9:52) but aren't the resources you spend a lot higher than what you actually get out of the fight? You spend all these missiles, ammo and a CONTROLLER on the boss only to get a pitiful amount of energy links, some of the fuel you spent back, a purple unrepairable weapon, a measly lvl 2 eclipse cortex, some gunpowder (LOL), for the effort a measly amount of stardust source and whatever "shrapnel smash" is.
So, two things, the first time you get it done, you get almost 1000 starchrom from each one in easy mode, 1000 on hard mode, more on pro and nightmare. So every week, it's another way to net ~3000 starchrom, all weeks definitely give you a 20 pull from wish machine. The gold Shrapnel Smash is the other part, now this could be any mod you get on your helmet or weapon, so all build types, yet this is the only way to get specific sub stats that specifically target the damage type you use. Mods also retain between seasons, so if you get a great roll, you have that forever. Most of the other rewards are garbage though, you are correct. I ran extra just to help folks get their starchrom.
@@Xelray I see. Thanks for the answer. Maybe when I figure out my base build and resource gain I'll join one. I think I'll first farm blueprints for some good weapons though to actually deal damage when the shield is gone lol

I believe if we can do those bosses with 8 people roughly when we are on a bare bones crew, while that could be the case, I'd be more inclined to believe they just don't deal with the boss accordingly. I've seen people lose instantly on hound for not building up a base around the stardust resonator. I've seen a ton of people also do what I did in the video, yet never turn around to fight the boss. I've also seen instant fails on Servitor for people attacking the wrong one. If I remember correct. Pro mode you really started to need damage though, I stayed away from nightmare mode in beta, wanted something to look forward to for launch.
I did the same, yet it has a purpose, if you don't need a lot of points, you can let people who do need points get on the turret and you stay on the ground. If you gather everyone together who is grounds crew, you'll increase their damage by 40% with Fortress Warfare. It's a neat interaction.
This video was cited as a source for the idea that dmg on an immune clone fails the fight. Pretty sure it's just a dps check. Not seeing anything verifiable that indicates that small or large dps on an immune clone would directly fail the fight, but rather, it's wasted dps that should be on the boss instead in order to pass the dps check. Honestly - can the "dps on clone fails fight" idea be verified?
My verification are fails that are almost instant. If you fail instantly, yet you don't when you attack the right clone, what causes that difference?(happens on fully defended bases, or poorly defended bases) My running idea, and it isn't proved yet, is that when you attack the wrong clone, the lighting damage is increased, potentially by how much damage the wrong clone received. So yes, it's absolutely a damage check, yet I think it's more, and also a logic/following orders check. However, I can verifiably say, that the three times I completed this fight, we only shot the boss we knew was right, and while some people may have been shooting others, it didn't do enough damage to destroy our base. Sometimes we got a victory in 3-4 seconds, other times 6-8 seconds. A DPS check only should give you the exact same window before failure, I'd assume.
@@Xelray cheers for the reply. what im seeing with the groups running is far from an instant wipe, but someone shooting the wrong mob is given as the reason each time. ppl might be misattributing the reason, and it's making it harder to diagnose and resolve the issue. the only time i saw heavy lightning after 10 runs was when we had an LMG going hog wild on the wrong mob.
Yes, I definitely am not saying I am 100% right, yet I feel I'm definitely on the right path/idea. It's hard when I've only completely it fully about 8-10 times, and there are SO MANY different things going on. Sometimes health bars don't show up either, which I don't know is a hint, or just a bug, you know?
As an update, I just ran the rest of warband and secondary warband, took 15 seconds to clear on the final phase, we had fresh 50s, one guy even level 31. Everyone listened, not shooting the right boss is absolutely detrimental. It may not even be a DPS check, just a don't shoot the wrong target check.
While it's a choice, I'm hesitant to say it's a MUST HAVE. I think it's a nice to have, and if your team has great coordination, it can benefit you. If the thing didn't reload SO DARN SLOW I'd be happy to say yes, yet to get it to reload is problematic. Since we have no weapon calibrations for the thing, it's tough.
For me, 5 tries for By-the-Wind, yet Easy modes were harder to complete, and they only come from the third chest, so 5 runs where I got the third chest. I think that was closer to 9-10 runs overall.
There is a resonator in middle of a flat building field, almost where the icon is on the map, and you spend staroid, which is like, a minimal amount compared to what you have. That starts the event and the 3 minute cooldown.
All difficulties are the same mechanics, yet things hit harder, and have more health, in later difficulties, things should actually not die immediately, and will provide more challenging fights. Currently, turrets and gear overpower the lower difficulties.
Easy mode, 800 starchrom per win, 1000 per win on hard, once you get to hard, on rewards 2 and 3, you get two golden damage specific mods, with sub stats that buff how that damage works. For a burn build, you get things like burn damage, duration, and trigger chance. You also get a lot of gold/purple weapon drops that break down into a a lot of stardust.
That sucks. Farming up for biomass missiles is important, if you have that few gunners, then maybe even red plasma just to make sure you tear down the shield. You can make turrets for others, and even supply missiles to them if needbe. That's a lot of work though. I probably dropped 140 missiles for others today, since our server wanted a lot of completions.
@Xelray I would but without the perks making tons of biomass is a huge drain on my stardust source which I need to save up for to upgrade my legendary pieces. What's the best way to farm stardust source?
Clearing hard modes gives a ton, especially after breaking down the +4 calibration guns it has. Other than that... a specialization for startrace/gasoline into stardust.
Im on a PVP server and it sucks that we cant do this. The last few days of both phases have been the most boring. They need more content in each phase.
I just wish they combined the scenarios. I had more fun in the game in the early beta when it was mixed, personally. There were no Stronghold conquest. Yet, Having more content would be a definite win for everyone. This week is like a catch up week so everyone is on par with pro/nightmare modes of content in PvE.
I came to the Prima war with that flying boss and had all my nice gattling perks... biomass missle did not do ANY dmg to the boss. Not even showing dmg numbers while exploding on the boss. Was this a bug and you tested it up and down and it works or what is wrong with the Gattling ^^.
The missles have a pretty short range. Where I was shooting from I could shoot maybe 25% past the boss. I think that's the first failure that happens in most prime wars until you understand the range. If you know you were within range, maybe some sort of server lag? People say bullets/missiles/ect gets eaten at time with lag in the fight.
Biomass missile does about 15k dmg to the shield of the boss (need about 20-25 missiles to break full shield). If the boss's shield goes down, it only does about 6k5. (I used closed Turret II when testing these). Bio plasma does about 65k if you wonder (but you need spec for crafting it).
@@khoanguyen2645 Plasmas do 75k for myself, I wonder why its different. I find that gun damage is superior to biomass after you crack the shield for sure.
The lag in my video was the worst I've seen it, The second and third boss was fine. I find lag comes from a metric ton of throwable grenades. That doesn't help anything.
i can't even get 1k on easy, some BS rating system, i used red plasma on gattling canon 2 to break the shield but the damage didnt register. same thing with dpsing boss, its so frustating, world boss doesn't need this bs rating system to gatekeep players
A big thing with missiles is to make sure you are super close to the boss. A lot of people place them too far back. That fixes that issue most of the time. When I missed in the Ravenous Hunter fight, that was due to me not seeing the boss fall down, and I was shooting high. If your server is laggy enough to cause misses, that sucks.
Nothing difficult about this game, ive tested all hard modes and pro modes including hard prime wars in alpha and saying anything is this game is a 'challenge' is pushing it heh. Beta and live weapon DMG were actually buffed over closed friends and family alpha. People think it's hard because they have no proper ammo and turrets and they do 5dmg to the shield :) I guess hitting the correct target is technically a 'challenge' that you have to overcome becasue people dont care and just shoot what ever but that's it. Maybe people find pressing left mouse hard, wouldn't be the first time.
The game in it's current state isn't at all difficult for myself, yet being condescending over people learning is another issue all together. The current season and state of game is in the novice difficulty. I would assume the devs want to ease people into the game, and honestly, being a long time beta player, I can't wait to see new content, and something more difficult so that people who have great builds, have to do more than shoot specific targets in order at worst to survive and succeed. At the same time, people who aren't practiced and understand the builds already have to learn, understand the game, and put the pieces together. And while veterans understand exactly what to farm, how much they need to farm, and all the best things to go for, that is simply unreasonable to expect from everyone. I also believe making the servitor an instant wipe boss of 40 people, when 2-3 people make a mistake within seconds, is very harsh.
Yep, not only that, I'd dare say Manibus scenario only. Even Stronghold conquest I believe will only be in Evolution's Call. The next PvP season I'm super excited about, Rosetta vs Mayfly faction battles.
I'm finding that the lag does infact start when about 20-25 people are in Prime War. It has a cap of 40. Maybe they were overzealous. The lag used to be A LOT worse when they first had Prime Wars in beta. They have improved. Yet it's still not quite acceptable. It's close, yet the constant reload loop really kills it. Yet, if you want the win, you got to push through it, definitely a bad position, yet it's at least livable, maybe not in later difficulties.
I am running into this on our new server. People just take whatever they see. No etiquette. I REALLY WANT to see warband locked Prime Wars. It gives purpose to Warbands, and saves a lot of trouble. While the Prime Wars with today's patch are way better with lag as of today's patch, I'm tired of others doing weird shit over and over again.
I guess you aren't having much luck with Prime Wars. I've been over in different servers Discords listening to them, implore my strategies and succeeding first shot. I hope you get the same results soon!

Everyone listened, not shooting the right boss is absolutely detrimental. It may not even be a DPS check, just a don't shoot the wrong target check.
Is the mgl BP worth getting for points?
While it's a choice, I'm hesitant to say it's a MUST HAVE. I think it's a nice to have, and if your team has great coordination, it can benefit you. If the thing didn't reload SO DARN SLOW I'd be happy to say yes, yet to get it to reload is problematic. Since we have no weapon calibrations for the thing, it's tough.
how many attempts did it take to get the 2 prime war deviants?
For me, 5 tries for By-the-Wind, yet Easy modes were harder to complete, and they only come from the third chest, so 5 runs where I got the third chest. I think that was closer to 9-10 runs overall.
In which bench/menu do I craft the plasma rounds ? I have the perk, but can’t find them anywhere
Synthesis Bench
Galacticus got you. Snyth bench specifically after unlocking the turret for biomass. Red Plasmas are based specifically of the specialization perk.
Advanced synth bench
Saviator is pure bs. on my server i was wiped 6 times as people could not grasp that they should not shoot anything they see...
Yeah, that seems to be the issue. It definitely requires coordination. Which is hard with 8 groups of 5 at times.
Where do prime wars happen or how do you trigger them?
There is a resonator in middle of a flat building field, almost where the icon is on the map, and you spend staroid, which is like, a minimal amount compared to what you have. That starts the event and the 3 minute cooldown.
is the hard versions any diffrent?
All difficulties are the same mechanics, yet things hit harder, and have more health, in later difficulties, things should actually not die immediately, and will provide more challenging fights. Currently, turrets and gear overpower the lower difficulties.
Why do this event? I've done it but didn't really notice any big rewards. probably because I didn't get high score. plz go over rewards
First time you beat it 800 Starchrom for every single boss
Easy mode, 800 starchrom per win, 1000 per win on hard, once you get to hard, on rewards 2 and 3, you get two golden damage specific mods, with sub stats that buff how that damage works. For a burn build, you get things like burn damage, duration, and trigger chance. You also get a lot of gold/purple weapon drops that break down into a a lot of stardust.
At best on my eu server we have one or two cannons and then people run outta boom and give up. Thats on easy.
@Xelray brilliant thanks, we just got phase 3 this morning so I'll hit those up
Im on a PVP server and it sucks that we cant do this.
@@khoanguyen2645 thx
Prime wars never happen on my server
Why not, just not enough people? Or people aren't as serious about the game?
The lag in these prime wars is ridiculous and makes me not wanna even join in
The lag in my video was the worst I've seen it, The second and third boss was fine.
Is this only a pve thing??
Yes indeed. PvP gets stronghold conquest for now in their scenario.
Half walla only have 200 HP
DO NOT USE THEM
So, my stone half wall with 3600 hp is a lie? i.imgur.com/1bekmlU.png
PvE only
Yep, not only that, I'd dare say Manibus scenario only. Even Stronghold conquest I believe will only be in Evolution's Call. The next PvP season I'm super excited about, Rosetta vs Mayfly faction battles.
as cool as the game is. this lag is just making it unplayable
Yet, if you want the win, you got to push through it, definitely a bad position, yet it's at least livable, maybe not in later difficulties.
other people take ur gatling and ruin the game
I am running into this on our new server. People just take whatever they see. No etiquette. I REALLY WANT to see warband locked Prime Wars. It gives purpose to Warbands, and saves a lot of trouble. While the Prime Wars with today's patch are way better with lag as of today's patch, I'm tired of others doing weird shit over and over again.
13 minutes of horseshit.
I guess you aren't having much luck with Prime Wars. I've been over in different servers Discords listening to them, implore my strategies and succeeding first shot.
I hope you get the same results soon!
