Thank you. I do hear that beta rewards are easier accessed via loading bay if you played in CBT3, so I might do that myself, yet I prefer steam in general.

Yes, Acid is super needed, I somewhat forgot about it last beta since we were all refining it I believe. With the specializations last closed beta. But you are right, you need a crazy amount.

Yes, the combat deviant of choice were healing because all the damage deviants were trash! I wasn't happy with it at all.

I was disgusted by Destiny 2 and sunsetting in general, was one of the reasons I ended up not playing and covering content. Unfortunately. Maybe the next game they make will be better!

I was going to post a solo version, yet, it felt like I had to lean on cheesy tactics the entire time. Frost build makes you completely invincible if you stick to defensive positions, yet your damage somewhat sucks, fire is almost a happy medium between healing/damage. Yet, I bet a team can clear the whole thing in 15 minutes, rather than me soloing it in 30-40+ at best and wasting a ton more ammunition.

I understood it as, a weak spot is a normal hit, in a vital area, then modifiers from gun/mods/ect are added. Incase you need to hit weak spots to trigger effects more often, you can still do that, yet without additional damage, therefore it hits as strong as a normal hit would. Work has been well, working me over, I hope to get back into the game soon to test that, and get my other builds going and put on here.

I did mess around with gasmask and crit mods, and I found it wasn't making up the difference over the long haul because I had shots that didn't proc power surge. Maybe I need a better weapon mod with higher activation chance to make that work. I was down on average about 1-2k dps. Yet some parses were way higher, they weren't the average. I haven't been min maxing, instead I've been just getting builds together to see how many potentials there can be! I'll head back in a while if I have time and mess around with it.

@Xelray 18 weapon calibrate + 14 gloves CC mod = 32% crit chance Start fight with Hunters Mark for +20% crit chance I belive (IIRC). So 52%. Can get like 2-3 Clips depending on reload speed before it runs out. And you still got Helm effects once you get a proc 40%. All that crit is gurenteed Shocks. I mean 92% crit chance? And even when Hunters where's off, finishing a clip off, you still have like 72% crit chance. I don't have the mask to test for sure. But overall. The 400s ypu get from shock don't seem like they'd be higher then straight crit damage. And bosses that ur able to use shotty. All ur shocks crit, and if ypu have a lot of crit chance. Man.... One thing I'd love to see is if you have maxed Accuracy on shotty, can ypu make it more of a ranged weapon. Just take a -on stability.

@Xelray but I don't have the gear yet to test myself. It's just theory crafting tbh. Not saying ur wrong at all. Maybe it sounds better on paper lol.

@@dangeloenglish4284 On the shotgun, it hits hard with shock, to the point now it crits for 7k or so, yet it's not once, it's twice. And mayfly goggles do bring that number down by 20%, yet they double it. So it's 160% raw damage with good chance to crit, rather than 100% damage with a 100% or close to it chance. Also, the trigger chance goes down, which pushes the chance of shock down, which instead of it always hitting, it hits most of the time, so if I miss a shock, my damage is way down. You are absolutely correct that thunderclap is a low total damage%, probably lower than the shotgun's raw damage. Yet you can get trigger chance, and that makes all the difference. I was even thinking of taking shock chance off the weapon, and adding shock damage because you can get up to 40% trigger chance from attributes. It's all a balancing game. The gas mask is an awesome mask, and I'm curious where exactly it best fits, I think it'd be with a gun damage build personally. Yet, with my not doing weakspot damage for extra crit already, that wouldn't make sense. Yet with a few number tweaks, who knows what's on top?

Little Jaws got a big buff too, it won't be BIS, yet there is a lot of weapon damage in that build that crit may feel good on. Yet it's just a random drop as well.

You can, yet only through luck on Echoes of the Rift. So it's a gamble and you may not, even if you spend all your starchrom there.

PvP has two solid builds set up with it, yes. Jaws is almost too solid. To the point of the game feels way less challenging than it should. Master modes at like, lv 42 and such.

I have two power surge builds posted, an mid game look at outsider, and a corrosion shotgun power surge build. Maybe two weeks ago or so.

@@Xelray Yeah just started watching them, im currently spec'd into shrapnel and trying to figure out the best setup. The power surge builds look nutty for DSP though, might have to try and grind out a new build

This wish machine is fine. The rng mastery perks is the real downfall

I think as long as they give us a good 100% weapon or two each season the wish machine will feel better. As the sole mechanic to get gear. It does feel a bit brutal. Attribute farming on mods may feel worse though with finite pulls.

@@Xelray Even though i dont like the Wish Machine i think it will only feel this bad in the first season. After that you probably have at least one good gun already unlocked.

@@jinkxy2370 You are correct, the sting of not getting something will only get less over time. However, player retention in these types of game is a big game changer. They should make changes to keep player retention up whenever possible. In CBT2 we got the last Valour through doing season journeys, which we don't have this time. I have seen pictures of a potential battle pass as well. If these things give a decent gun outside of the Wish Machine the game will feel good even in the first season as well.

Funny enough, I've been making new characters to play with people and I've had my first hit of tin give me a digby boy two times. Yet Silver is a much higher chance for sure. And the tin drop may be scripted or there is a chance I've gotten lucky with.

@@Xelray your first hit of Tin ALWAYS gives Digby, then after that its only from Silver. it was the Dev's way to give you a helper early, to get you ready for the next area ahead of time with him giving you metal early.

Element damage also works. The game considers blast an element. I'm not sure why Status and Element exist separately yet. I feel like I must be missing something, yet they both increase numbers.

no food buff, just use roll

The roll is awesome! One shot, reload, roll before it finishes and POW POW. The Jaws hits like crazy, and my build definitely isn't perfect. Yet it gets by really well if you happen to get the gun. Investment of how much effort to play is low and its easy for everyone who gets it!

My buddy trying boom boom is completely curious how you are getting 30k explosions. I haven't looked into the build myself yet, but it seems you are doing something right!

@Xelray Sheltered top (any piece with high intensity will do) hardy gloves, 4x falcon. Precise strike, blaze amplifier, gold elemental overload, slow and steady, weakspot damage boost (or status) bullet siphon, Boom boom with 2 x status damage, burning wrath, Weapon for bullseye Secondary stats focus on mag capacity, elemental damage, weakspot or weapon damage, burn damage, health. Tactical combo, weakspot chain reaction, flame resonance, tactical combo, not sure if elemental sense effects with blast damage. It's not a consistent 30k, I'm sure it's with all buffs active, vs the enemy type that throws the boomer enemies. It's usually around 8k-14k damage when it blows up. But I can get a consistent 250k damage per mag.

Yeah, this thing definitely has some latency/lag issues, hah. Sometimes I don't get damage off at all for 5-10 seconds.

You just use the wish machine or open crates, really not that difficult at all. A lot of it unlocks after certain points in the game

This was a 100% chance to pull if you saved up. It was on the PvP server. They get Jaws and Sleek Leather Jacket, and they also go the predator and oasis mask. No chance of luck with the build I chose to display here.

RNG when it comes to competitive nature will always make people annoyed, they lose the race, or pass everyone else by and have to wait a lot of the time. It's a fair notion. Yet the game is meant to have everything over a few seasons, not everything in the first.

@@Xelray Oh weird, I'm just on a PVE server and there's no guaranteed drop at least none that I've seen, kinda sucks. And yeah I don't mind endlessly grinding for the best stuff, I've done it in WoW, Division, Destiny, etc.. but make it possible to do so for a decent result, everything is limited in some form in this game that's the issue.

The jacket is needed! It sucks to miss a piece. On the PvP server this was a set that was 100% granted in roughly 30 pulls if you were unlucky. 40 max.

I even made that, and I don't know how the range worked on it, yet what I needed it for was to see where the next one was, and not the one in front of me. However I had other potions glitch up on me too, so it could of just not shown the couple of times I tried. Super good hint, I'll go back and see if it works for me now. It just didn't seem to function outside of my immediate range.

Good question! Any boss. I got my first Rebecca just by practicing soloing fights and it dropped on the first boss.

Thanks! I just realized you can boost the whole build with food too. Also, I have rolled lucky on another build that is crazy powerful. There are so many build options it's nice to see. Build Diversity will be awesome.

Power surge with high activation rate is really solid. Crank I find is really solid as well. Especially if you build hybridized, or more towards gun damage. I've seen some impressive numbers. I want to play with crank and boom boom IF I get lucky enough to find it. I will have quite a few build guides coming out next week I have a feeling as we start getting towards the late phases of the beta.
