  • ▼ LOTS OF INFO ▼ It happened! After more than a year, I finally have a new batch of goldfish fry to raise and groom to perfection. These red and white butterfly telescope goldfish fry are from Lincoln, a female butterfly telescope goldfish that I bred a few years ago. Come hang out with me around the fish room while I set up a culture of live baby brine shrimp for the fry to eat and as I make the rounds feeding my adult butterfly telescopes, orandas, watonai, jinkins, and broadtail moors.
    New videos are uploaded every Friday and sometimes Tuesday!

    That's a great decision in my opinion, being willing to change and give more of your time to video production. No one really knows what the future holds and you definitely have to follow your "inner-compass" and you'll know you're on the right path. thumbs UP of course and I'm glad I found your channel!

    My fish spawned while I was at school so almost all of the eggs were eaten or not fertilized. So now I have 2 fry that I'm trying to take care of. as far as I can tell the mother is a orange pompom Goldie and the dad is a black moor

    Jenny I would love to see a few videos on how you're changing water with such small fry and how to use the python with a water pump instead of the sink/hose. You are pretty much responsible for empowering me that I could take my goldfish hobby to the next level with breeding. I am currently raising my first fry at 2 months old after a year of getting back into serious fish keeping. Every breeding video was of veteran fish keepers with drilled tanks. While that is a goal to help make it easier your fish keeping is a very novice friendly way. I have 4 forty breeders like you with the same sponge filter, Jehmco air pump, pvc line in my garage. Thank you so much and I look forward to future videos. BTW they are ryukins, as I'm trying to breed a black ryukin.

    I fed mine egg yolk since day 1 and developed fantastically. I put a tiny bit of yolk in a spray with water. In a week or so depending of temperature the fry will start to pick the adult food in fine powder. They're not picky eaters!

  • @Sean_vds
    @Sean_vds 6 лет назад

    For me floating water plants were really helpful. My goldfish spawned onto the roots of the plants once, which made it really easy to transport the eggs (I just had to make sure that no matter what, the eggs would stay under water).

    • @ElectricBoogaloo007
      @ElectricBoogaloo007 7 лет назад

      They don't take up much room. You just raise them in a plastic food container like a margarine container or Rubbermaid food storage type container.

    I really need some advice about a very large goldfish that I just inherited. I have never owned a goldfish, just bettas. To put the size of this fish in perspective, it was in a 30 gallon tank and barely had room to turn around. I put it in a 60 gallon tank but want to make sure I'm doing everything right!! It's so large and beautiful it would be a shame if I killed it!!! Please help!!

    I never fed my Goldfish (when I had them) with straight dry food
    I put that kind of food in some water / wait some minutes.. and then.. drop the food (when is wet food). Dry food will grow inside them and that can cause problems (float upside down / belly up)
