  • It’s about time I did a proper RUclips-style unboxing video. This is the British-made Norbar Pro 50 torque wrench, possibly one of the best mid-range wrenches on the market today. This video covers my first impressions as we unbox it and take a look at the features.

My last few years at Airbus (48 yars total) i as in the calibation dept. You wouldnt believe haow many torque wrenches had. Par of m job was calibating the torque wrenches. I always recommend Norbar. tti50 and tti150 will do 99.5% of all you biking needs. Or calibration spec 0-10Nm 4% and 10+Nm 6%, so yours is well within spec.
ALWAYS re set to 0 when finished

Nice to see Norbar products being reviewed - I started an apprenticeship with them in Banbury around 30 years ago. I moved on after a year as the manufacturing industry wasn't for me, but they're a good company to work for.

Norbar can also be bought under other big German brand, Wera.
Also, Norbar did settle once and for all if it makes any difference to set the tool to zero while in storage or if it doesn’t matter.
After a year with several wrenches set to highest setting, it was proven that it does not affect the spring inside or accuracy what so ever.
Norbar is also prolly the best maker of these wrenches.
Pity those who buy overpriced SnapOn rubbish to be honest.

Hehe Actually I think Snap on now own Norbar,,,and make some branded Snap on tools.. Myself I had never heard of them and really did not think any tools where still made in the UK.. So I did abit of a search ,,first clue was the e address ,having a com at the end,,, Then googled and DJ audits on YT,,,did a thing on them ,and an employee explained what they did ...

Agree about the Snap on thing, i know several people who had lots of issues with Snap on torque wrenches needing repairs, my advice is Norbar, Sykes Pickavant Motorq, Britool, Halfords ( Norbar) you can't go wrong.
