For this show Dick and Mary won Emmys but i think that Morey and Rose also deserved Emmys.
Dick Van Dyke's performance in this episode was simply magnificent! The man just blows me away with his God Given talent and acting ability. (I really do think I left my heart in the 1960s)
I agree bless with enormous talent ❤️
Definitely! The whole scene with the crib! Lol 😆
I have left My 💕In the 60's and 70's 😇
My favorite episode because I love GSDs!
still can't believe he brought a crib as a "dog bed"😂😂
This is one of my favorite episodes of this show.
MINE TO
I remember our first night with our very first puppy. He barked and wined all night…and the next day, he slept.
Rob: “How do you know you don’t like him? You haven’t even met him.“
Laura: “Well, I have not met Dracula, either.“ 😂
Larry in a dog kennel? he thinks he is a relative lol😆😆😆
Have they walked him? Given him water? Larry is lonely and in a strange place. Shepherds are great dogs.
Richie was soo cute!!!!
Originally telecast on November 21, 1961.
German Shepherd, the BEST breed!
🇺🇸 ❤ ❤ this episode Richie thinking Larry's a 🐺 that's going 2 eat him. Hidding in closets 2 funny 😂!
@ss-mb5cy *Hiding
Never saw a boy that didn't love a dog
I have
This isn't episode 9 it suppose to be where Laura dyed her hair blonde. This is episode 7 of season 1.
I didn’t see a credit for the actor that played Larry.
YEAH RIGHT
HE PLAYED THE BEST PART
He must not have had a very good agent.
The jokes in this show are real jokes. Not like sitcoms from the past 35 years.
Richie---"Can't you talk to Daddy if my hands are dirty?". Back then, a kid who mouthed off like that probably would have gotten a smack on his bottom.
I think he was being cute. Certainly not mouthing off.
Where did Rob go in his pajamas and bare feet to get a crib?
Shows in the 1950’s and 1960’s were not as enlightened about animals and how to treat them. Larry is panting so much. I kept thinking, “give him some water.”
Also, I think the idea is that there was a crib out in the garage.
That kid is "motel" crazy. He harps about sleeping in a motel. Nothing spectacular about sleeping in motels!!
Yup. Usually horrible bed linens, bad smells, iffy plumbling, and lots of bugs. No wonder Ritchie wanted to stay in a motel so badly. Woo hoo!!
That's our system!!!
Richie learned fast.
Richie exhibited a lot of anxiety, hiding in closets and cupboards. German Shepherds are fine until they start bearing their fangs and growling.
This show has not aged well.
of course the dog doesn't respect rob. they can smell fear. they can sense weakness.
laura needs to dump rob and find a real man.
Bro who hurt you ?😂
@@graceduenas99 many people.
@@capacola262743 I’ve seen many of your comments on this show and you don’t seem to like it very much so maybe you should find something different to watch.🙂

Men in Reiners sit-coms (all sit-coms) are always buffoons or idiots. Wives are always "I told you so" right.
