    this scene is more real than it could ever be. Jesse started a bit nervous in the conversation, trying to engage celine in more conversation until slowly he get comfortable and his charm started from there. That's what most conversation between the strangers look like in real life. The attention to detail in this scene is the best

      No.On social media everything is filtered and life is not shown as they are lived. All mundane activities are not included in social media. But the idea is kind of same in terms of lifestyle but it’s the very idea of how we are not always supposed to do something worthwhile all the time is not shown . We can sit on the couch having some sort of imagination or cleaning my room on a sunny day. With no edits or filters is what he meant. And I don’t see it on social media

    Apparently Richard Linklater met a woman in real life at a toy store and they had this long conversation that lasted through the night and he never saw her again. He was inspired to co-write the screenplay but before the film was released she died in a car accident.

    Their amazing journey starts from the moment they get off the train and this scene is the transition from being strangers to having a wonderful and deep connection with someone.....I loved the before trilogy....I had these conversations with a man like this and today we are married for 10 years and have know each other for 15 years... the connection only grows stronger with time....this movie so beautifully captures the initial attraction and connection of two people

      @Brandy Nicole we met at a coffee shop below our office and we started chatting over something that we felt was absolutely wrong...I realised for the first time that someone felt the same way I did....strangely enough he liked talking to me too...for hours....we would walk home from work to my home and then call each other once he reached home too for months...just conversing ....and slowly the connection grew stronger....and I'm still learning and loving knowing life....with him as my partner 😊

      @@mahakala hi so sorry I'm replying after a year....I feel friendship and companionship is the key....though we are very different people...what keeps us engaged and invested in this relationship is mutual respect and friendship...even after everything else fades with time....these two elements always keep the relationship alive . I hope this answer helps...I'm no expert but yes being around postive , spirited people who are genuine well wishers also help...if any relationship feels draining or toxic....we know it's time to run but here I've always felt safe, comforted , not judged and always nurtured...so yes ...feels amazing 💜😊

    This scene is so natural unlike other romantic flicks in which there seems to be forced expressions and acting skills projected out of nowhere totally unrelatable to reality. Before trilogy stands out for sure !

    I love this movie so damn much. I LOVE,LOVE,LOVE how simple and pleasing it was. The dialogues,the acting,locations everything was just so simple yet SO FREAKIN BEAUTIFUL 😍 Towards the end they decide not to stay in touch and all of that was so magical. AHHHHH. CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THE BEFORE TRILOGY!!

    Just after this part of conversation , Jesse talked about a memory that he saw ghost of his past grandma when he was a kid. It wasn’t scary at all but felt heartwarming love. Celine got impressed with the story
    so much and came to think he must be a good guy and decided to get off the train with him.

    When i went to france, it was the most stressful thing. I bought the euro ticket and I was sitting on this seat thinking its mine. These seats were really comfy. Then the conductor came and saw my ticket and he told me that this was a first class section. He said that I needed to go to the economy class. I ended up not finding my seat so I ended up sitting in the lounge car.

    I came back to this movie looking for the scene when Jesse or Julie says (on the tram) that there is a war not far from here and everyone tries to ignore it. Because sadly we are back at it.
    I also remember from this movie that they talk about reincarnation and how is it possible that the human population increases year by year.
    I didn`t remember Jesse inventing reality shows all by himself... I think MTVs Most Wanted and Reality Bites came out around that time... or did they?
