smart guest, very informative, enjoyed watching, yeah she's right laki ang tax daw ng Australia but maganda naman ang benefits ng once you're citizen, base on my son inlaw experience when he suffered from acute illness,

I agreed. She's very smart!! I visited Sdyney back in 2018 and visiting again very soon. I find it cool having some green outdoor parks around NSW and people give you a warm smile even if am a stranger strolling in those parks.
But am more interested of experiencing life at Finland since the country offers most outstanding healthcare services, education access is free being Finnish , safe environment, less congested and you will be able to enjoy purest & cleanest water , clean natural food and many more.. Finland is jy 3rd option, 2nd is Aus and top is PH ❤ its more fun in the PH nga eh 😆

Nice episode! What made this interview more interesting is that interviewee is highly articulate. I am also waiting for my residency as an offshore. Got invited Q4 last year. Hoping to get my grant soon and get to AU early next year!

Tatlong country lang ang magandang lipatan para sa magandang buhay. Opinion ko lang naman.USA, Canada and Australia. Europe is okay pero maganda lang pasyalan.

Personally, I don't feel like SG is fast-paced, siguro mas fast-paced pa sa Pinas, especially sa city area like Cebu and Metro Manila. When I started working in SG, same din sa kanya 2019, that's when my life changed. Nakakatulog na ng 8-9 hrs 😅 and nilalakad ko lang yung workplace ko ng chill. Mas marami pang unpaid OT sa Pinas while here sa SG, rare lang talaga. Then again, depende talaga sa tao and work.

nice interview. vary informative, articulate (not in a conyo way), very mature and driven at a young age, she'll go places..
1st time to watch your channel.. this is the 5th episode so i'm not sure about the context of your channel title "The Pinoy Expat".. there's a difference between an Expat and an OFW. OFW, you applied for work then relocated (if there's a job waiting for you/direct hire or even agency) or came to another country to find work (don't tell the Philippine IOs hehe) and stay as long as your working visa permits or you're able to be a PR/Citizen. So, all gastos initially is yours alone. Your efforts alone..
An Expat is a higher level of employee. The company sends you to another location/branch/country, relocates you all expense paid, housing, family, IS schooling, even allowance for domestic helpers, etc. They'll stay until they're relocated again. Typically, Expats are mostly caucasians but there are also asians and a few (to my knowledge) pinoys na swerte (2 officially, so far)..
The interviewee is an OFW. Not an Expat. some people (OFWs) use the Expat term loosely for status, yabang, etc. which for me is misinformation. I'm an OFW too and when someone assumes i'm an Expat, I correct it and not milk it..
I'll try to watch your other episodes and see if they are Expats or OFWs. good job so far based on this episode..

Thank you for your insight. By definition, an expatriate or "expat" is somebody who leaves their country of origin and settles abroad for an extended period of time, often permanently. Regardless kung sila pumunta dun or pinadala ng company.
Also the notion that most expats are Caucasian is wrong. Anybody, regardless of their skin colour, nationality, and origin can be expats. Sa Pinas shempre ang makikita natin na Expat ay puti/westerner kasi for the longest time sila ang lagi nasa Pinas. But Indian, Chinese, and other nationalities who stay in the Philippines for work are also expats.
The channel is called The Pinoy Expat because it aims to share the stories of Filipino migrants, whether temporarily or otherwise, across the globe. So that includes International Students, OFWs (who migrated with working visa right away), permanent residents, and those who eventually adopted the citizenship of their host country.
Thank you for watching and looking forward to see you on our future episodes 😊

Hindi naman mabilis magsalita ang mga Singaporean, I've worked there for 10 years. They speak clearly and straight to the point, wala ng paligoy-ligoy. At totoong fast paced ang diskarte nila sa pagtatrabaho, kailangan matapos mo kagad ang project mo on their projected time frame.

Yep but you'll be working until 10pm. Here in Australia the pay may not be THAT much compared to SG, but you get to have a life. As they say, you can't have your cake and eat it too :)

@@ThePinoyExpat.OfficialThose extra earnings in Singapore because of higher salaries and low tax can be used for early investments so one can retire early. So yes, you can have cake and eat it but a little bit later so take your pick

@@ThePinoyExpat.Official I think better not to stereotype, it all depends on your job. I work as an IT professional in SG earning minimum 12K SGD and doing nothing at work. I come to office late and go home early 😉

@@monarcfmoso This is not factual considering the benefits like Superannuation. There is also no pathway to residency in Singapore. I recommend Europe. I lived in both Singapore and Australia.
