awesome editing of a great day out on the red ice Baz; hearing you so happy with the bike now that you have decent tyres on it shines through in your voice; the video angles you chose to record capture the bikes ability in a variety of challenging (for a heavy bike) terrain are great...i had a bit of a ride from my lounge chair! Thanks.
@@bazz6670 credit where credit is due Baz...luck has nothing to do with you not dropping the bike, it's all down to superior technique and skill my friend! (many ride days are won and lost around the campfire...)
That was a great watch from my lounge chair Bazz. Gotta love that red clay surface when wet! Tyres, 450MT and Rider survived. Well done! A great find for lunch and coffee. I dunno about the rabbit pool! 👍🤣🤣
@holden3083 I have the adventure rear and desert ht front, once you get them worn in they are good. I haven't lost traction on wet roads, but you still need to be careful. They will never be as good as road tyres for grip on the black top.
@@bazz6670 keep us updated on the tyres if u can. I would like to hear your option as they wear please? Yeah I understand they aren’t going to be as good as road tyres on the wet roads. Just hear a lot of people saying they are really bad tyres when it gets wet, but they are ok off road. Hope that makes sense. That desert would hook up well off road tho.
That was a great challenge on such claggy clay and although you both did well there’s no tyre in the world that guarantees to keep you upright in conditions like that! Just wondered if leaving your TC on might have actually helped a little? Also, what’s your cleaning regime when you get home - pressure washer on a low setting to blast all the shite off the bike?
Thanks for commenting, I find traction control kills the motor to much and makes it run horrible, I use pressure washer at home being gentle on areas like bearings. It did take a full detail after that ride.
@bazz6670 140/80-18 is even bigger than 150/70-18 glad to know those fit. Hopefully with the US launch this fall I'll be able to get one of these in at the local dealer
@@brianlennan7237 Thank you, I have only changed the front sprocket on mine to 15. The 45 rear was on a friends bike. I'll just stick to what I have it is good.
@brianlennan7237 I used the jt brand and it is a bit more loose than original, ho the genuine cfmoto. I did put part number in comments on the video where I tried 15.
@FlatBrokeAdventures loving the tyres off road gives me way more confidence. On road the rear is great, still finding front a little twitchy. I have the motoz desert ht. I would like to try the dualventure. Cheers mate.
@AltitudeAerials The motoz performed well, the Desert ht front had really good sideways grip and never slid out on me, the back as you would expect in clay slid around a bit but I never got stuck like I did on the stocky. Really great improvement overall, and made it way more fun to ride. The stock tyres are still better on the the road and do good in the dry dirt.
@AltitudeAerials I had the stock tyres on for about 1500 ks and I'm not an expert on tyres but I would give them a 7 , they are smooth easy to corner and good grip apart from mud. All depends on the riding you do.rear motoz not sure at this stage but seems smooth not noisy
@@bazz6670 i also have a 450mt and I agree the stock ones suck for mud. It's rainy season here in the Philippines so looking for something better for mud (I'm sure everything is better than the stock) but just also want something that's also reasonably ok for the asphalt
Nice video. First time watching, and really enjoyed it. To see the outback from that perspective. Thanks for the adventure.
@youngjackson6779 Thank you I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Cheers.
Nothing like good tires on the bike. Great job with the video mate 🙂
@in2ADV Thanks mate the new tyres definitely made a big difference.
Some serious sliding going on there!!!!

Great job on the video.
Top day out exploring!
@OzADVRider Thanks mate. Looking forward to catching up again.
Looks like the Motoz tyres did a good job, especially through the clay.
@davidz8 yes really good upgrade.
Your bike sounds great!!
@Motoramblings pretty good for a stock pipe. Cheers Patric.
Roman , if your watching this , this is to muddy, and not what I bought this bike for

What size tires did you put on?
Is the rear a 150 or 140?
