And back with a bang! Brilliant, clear and informative explanation of logic in a modular setup. I have struggled with some of these concepts before but feel enthused and enlightened now. Fabulotastico!
Welcome back Sir DK! The guitar face made me laugh! And I'm really grateful for this dive into logic, even if it times it might not seem quite so very logical (unlike Dr Spock). It's super powerful in essence but can most certainly be intimidating, so thanks for making and sharing your knowledge!
Cheers Logan, been playing guitar (and teaching it as a career, until recently) for a long time now. Pre modular stuff I was in a lot more band style projects.
Excellent video. I knew nothing about this module but you clearly outlined what it is and what it does and what you can do with it and now I feel like I need it. Great presentation!
Thanks! this is perfect, you explain the whole setup, which makes it so much less chaotic in my mind then when I have to research every little part and term
This comment section is like superbooth, where all the cool guys great their highly respected professor, who was away for way too long! glad you are back, ben. hope you are well! :)
Back ... and with the module I have sitting and waiting in the shopping basket. Going to watch now, probably hitting the 'check out' button after this. :)
Nice to see you. I didn't THINK you were a disembodied voice, but it's very nice to have proof you're not! You and your channel are probably the number one driver of sales to Eurorack modules in the world. It's great to see that you aren't just a (fantastic to listen to) voice with fingers. Those guitar tones are so gnarly, that's a great way to sell these pups. This one is pretty appealing, but I also really like the Klavis Logic module from what I've seen. I don't have any Instruo modules (yet) either, but everything I've seen makes them seem like very high-quality stuff. Really great look to them, too. That's probably worth it for the guitar fuzz alone. So versatile. Thanks for making it seem less scary. Logic isn't immediately obvious as a wide-ranging musical tool but you help show how that's just ignorance!
We missed you! Very much so in fact. Are you back? Hope so! ((: Whenever you upload, I'm gonna hit like and watch it. (; Proud to be a patron as well. (:
Yeah that moves around a lot work wise. I'm in an unfinished studio room so the storage to having things out to hand, to full modular case ratio isn't there yet. I think it's funny though, some people are triggered by it I think but they're all placed carefully and all working.
In philosophy, we all study logic in a pretty elementary way (unless you specialize) but it blew my mind when my professor explained that you can express "And" with MIN{x, y} and "Or" with MAX{x, y}
Yeah that's a smart way to look at it. Minimum of the two signals is the AND, so both need to be high for that to be the minimum and MAX for the OR ... clever! Thanks for that.
@@DivKid That's right. In logical systems with only two truth values, i.e. True and False, we can represent them as 1, and 0 respectively, and then write e.g. MIN{1,0} = 0; MIN{1,1} = 1. Whereas for OR, MAX{1,0}=1; and only MAX{0,0} = 0.
Welcome back!!
HES BACK
Also fucking hell those fuzz effects are absolutely amazing
Good to have you back!
Love this.
you forgot "Hi, I'm Hainbach"
Pun intended
I read that in your voice, obviously xD
Haha this is soooo good, I could hear it in my head
The modular world heaves a collective sigh of relief as our cherished guru returns!
And back with a bang! Brilliant, clear and informative explanation of logic in a modular setup. I have struggled with some of these concepts before but feel enthused and enlightened now. Fabulotastico!
