I never thought I'd be in a fandom, not to mention being attached to an artist. I didn't want to be heartbroken like the fans who found out their favorite artists were not who they thought. I knew you from Shelter, and for a couple of years, that was it. But Porter, you're so oddly open and vulnerable in your songs. Nurture was incredibly honest and human, it felt like someone was finally acknowledging what I had wished someone talked about. Just by having someone else having the same frustration and confusion for life. I missed quite a part of the journey, and although I can't say I'm a HUGE fan, I'm happy to be a part of the community. It's kind of warm here.

Recently in the PRD Fit Contest held at the Porter Discord server, Porter clarified that it was always supposed to be a fade-out, and mastering as well as possible release logistics problems meant that the drum loop solo was the one posted on digital platforms. However, the printed and produced vinyl version of the album has the fade out outro version.

We had to let our dog go today. She's been with us for almost all her 13 years on this planet. I know this song has nothing to do with this, but for some reason it has been stuck in my head the entire day, and it made everything feel alright. It’s so nice to see a take like this on audiences. It’s tough to be famous I suppose. I wouldn’t know. I’m one of the mass of people that helps make people famous by enjoying them. Porter makes such genuine music that he’s able to bridge that gap between the average fan and the famous person without me feeling like I need some sort of parasocial knowledge or relationship with him. Through the years Porter's music has always been there for me. Shelter came out in my first year of high school. Nurture's first singles like Get your wish and something comforting came out both during COVID but also in my last year of highschool, feeling robbed of my final semester of highschool. The full release of nurture I went through a bad break up a few weeks before the full release and at the start of July I've fully moved into my first ever apartment. So many times through these years I've listened to Porter during both my lows and highs. Whether it was Lionhearted after getting a new job or Trying to feel alive during days where depression almost won. Thank you Porter, Thank you for the friends I've made through your music, thank you for talking about your experiences with depression and struggles. Thank you to this community for being one of the most positive forces in both my life and many others. This song's name is ironic but this community and these songs are everything to me. So one final time, thank you everyone, and especially thank you porter

He said in some sort of discord event thingy that it was always meant to fade out and the wrong master got sent out for streaming distribution. He also said the vinyls were already printed a month ago and do have the fade out.
