My husband is having surgery the day before Thanksgiving. He still wants me to host Thanksgiving for his family. You gave me a great idea to make things ahead of time and freeze. That will make my life sooooo much easier. Thank you Amy!
I truly appreciate you Amy, I’ve been struggling with the menopause and hard times with work. I’m desperate to have God in my life again and found your channel. I feel like everything you say is directed to me when you talk about Jesus. I talk to him all of the time and I say this with God as my witness when I’m struggling badly I watch you and you talk to me about the exact struggle the lord knows about. I think he’s promoting your morning talks to help me and I can’t thank you enough. Sorry it’s not this video...I couldn’t comment on those as I’m usually crying and don’t finish them. I thank god for your beautiful soul everyday 🥰 I just wanted you to know how much you have helped me. It can only be the Lord at work ❤️ He tells me to listen to you and you make it right with the lords words. After Christmas I’m starting bible study and hope to follow your series from the beginning. I have only glimpsed them but I think they will help me study easier. Much love 43 year old a little lost mum of four from England ❤️
Tears of happiness I hope..god is the kindest and you are the perfect advocate to send his message out. I don’t have a church asi cant find one that feels right. He’s ok with me studying myself along as I obey and live according to what he asks I know that because he is inside me and and answers me. 🥰 Through everything he has never left my side. Trying to pull me back. I can honestly say one of your morning talks and bible quotes saved my life that day. Have the most blessed Christmas to you and all of your lovely family. And may God continue to grace your life so richly and continue to unintentionally without knowing spread his love to those of us that need it without even knowing xx And thank you for helping me find my Lord easier xx Goodnight god bless😊 it’s midnight here
I'm so glad that you prepped food for when I stop by for the holidays! lol. You always make everything look so easy. I appreciate that. In fact I appreciate everything that you do on this channel, and in community. You are not just talk, you are our there living and practicing the Lords words and ways. You are a gift to those who are in need of encouragement. Thank you for all that you do Amy. GOD bless you and the family. With love from Buffalo NY.
Hi Amy, love this! Great advice! We always start later baking all the holiday goodies! Going to start earlier this year! Thank you for sharing! Have a wonderful and blessed weekend!
Sausage balls - love them! I don’t know why I only make them during the holidays. We love them so much. I can’t wait to try that biscotti! I thought it would be harder to make than that. Yeah! Glad it’s easy!
Little side note, I'm Kenyan and the Swahili word for tea is chai. I see what you've made has some additional ingredients that we don't put in our traditional chai, but basically when you say chai tea, to a Swahili speaker it sounds like tea tea :D. I'm definitely going to make the brownies and sliders!
Mmmmm, sausage balls. We made them every year for Christmas and New Year's. I'm from Texas. I've brought the recipe to Ohio and everyone goes nuts for them.
I enjoy all of your videos, but especially the cooking ones. You have such a :you can do it" demeanor, that I am always inspired to cook ahead or use up my fragments. Thanks so much, friend. Blessings be on you and your house.
Love your motivation! I really appreciate the way you've typed up the recipe in these recent ones. I often feel like I miss hearing the quantities. I really admire your multitasking, planning and faithfulness as well Very succinct and fun/energising!
Great recipes! I can’t wait to plan ahead! Baby 4 is arriving at Christmas! We love sausage balls too. Try mixing some cream cheese in and they turn out even better.
I made my very first freezer meals yesterday! Lasagnas since I was making it already, I just made 2 more but didn't bake them. I wrapped really well and put them on a flat surface in my freezer. I'm so excited to do more now. 🙌😊
We do a really yummy Thanksgiving type slider which is just hawaiian rolls, turkey deli slices, anytime of cheese slices you want, and cranberry sauce. and then we usually have stuffing as a side :)
So awesome, you made the biscotti and chai tea mix. Those were on my gift list, to try this year. It's funny, I have been watching your channel for a while, and just realized, we have the same kitchen cabinets, and I also, have fall leaves, all around the top of mine. Great video!
As for the sausage balls - If you let the sausage come to room temp before mixing, it goes quicker. I use the kitchen aide to mix the cheese and sausage first, and then add the bisquick in a little at a time -- I often use only half of the called for amount - don't like them "bready". Also: Hot sausage is the best! Finally, I use a cookie scoop to get them all the same size and make it go quickly.
We love sausage balls and make them at every holiday! We eat them as appetizers or with breakfast!! Never thought of making them ahead and freezing them!!! Going to try that out this year!
The cheese balls look great but they are the size a northerner would make. ;-). I am a northerner as well and when I move to the South I did the same thing now I'm back up North.
Love this ideas!! And I'll definitely be trying a few of them. Thanks for sharing. I remember seeing a video you posted about home made xmas gifts. I hope you do it again this year.
I love love love the hospitality element of this. I would love to see more ready in minutes for company ideas if you have any. That is big benefit of to planning ahead. I love the idea of open door hospitality. Great video as always. I was born and raised in NC and yes those sausage balls are always a hit.
I spread that butter/mustard/poppyseed/sugar sauce on the buns before I put the ham and cheese on, so it’s all ready to go later - no prepping. Love them so much!
Can’t wait for the holidays!!! This all looks amazing. I’ll have to try those sausage balls- I see them on so many channels. I already watch sweet Kimmy and will have to check out the others!!
They're good! I also like to do an Italian kind to dip in marinara. Just use Italian seasonings (basil, oregano, garlic) and mozzarella instead of cheddar. You can use beef or sausage. You could also do a "burger" style one with beef and cheddar plus any seasonings you like for burgers. If you use any meat other than sausage, 2-3 eggs per batch is needed.
Oh wow they all look easy to make !! I'm going to do the sausage rolls first . thank you for showing how you prepare these snakes n brownies . cool n simple . I'm so glad I subscribed to you awhile back I like all your tips, shopping, phrase of the day , prayers , cooking , preparing and so much more. Your a great inspiration in my life. Thank you
Thanks for the inspiration! Lol, Sausage Balls just made the grocery list 😂 and maybe a few other ideas too! Hope you guys have a Blessed weekend, Maryon Family!!!
New Sub from Frugal Fit Mom. As soon as you said plan ahead, I knew I wanted to subscribe and I was not even that far into your video. Planning ahead has been a life saver for me. Looking forward to finishing this vide and watching more. Thank you for the great plan ahead ideas!
We pay exorbitant prices for groceries up here and even my discount store Save-A-Lot has many Southern Brands but we still pay more than you do at your discount store. We don't have them like they do in the south.
Another great video. Mom and I have made sausage/ cheese balls for years and just recently discovered they mix GREAT in the stand mixer. Just use the dough hook. SOOOO much easier on the hands and saves time. :)
Sausage balls and cheese straws Staples of the South. I also have a recipe for them where they're not so dry. I've had them at many places and they've always been on the dry side. If the ones you have the recipe for are not dry then enjoy them! Before or after Thanksgiving is cheese straws time. they are exceptionally easy to make in a mixer or with a hand mixer. The toughest thing is to get the whole thing to look like almost whipped cream and then just pipe them out and bake them off. Truly delicious!
Thank you mrs. Amy for sharing I haven't done sausage balls in years I'm so glad you put that up today I'm going to do that this year and I'm going to make a chai tea you have a wonderful blessed weekend and on those cookies my aunt always do them every year she dip them in a little chocolate and white chocolate they are so good I can't wait for the holidays so she can get the start baking on them again have a blessed weekend
I so enjoy spending time with you in the morning, all of enjoying our coffees with you. Lol. Put a tad of cardamom in your chai mix, it is traditional. Lovely video. You all enjoy your day. ❤
@@amymaryon the best way to describe it would be a spicy-vanillay-cinnamony spice. The mix is DELICIOUS without it, for sure. We stir a bit of it into pancake batter, oh my goodness!! Fantastic pancakes. Lol
I just made the Chai tea!!!! I've been thinking about it for 2 weeks. Finally went to the store and made it last night! Im totally addicted. Tell me its not ok to drink 6 cups a day! Wow!
Rule of thumb for if its Shepard's pie or Cottage pie From someone who is born and breed in England lol Shepards pie is Lamb (Shepards look after the sheep) Cottage pie is beef.
I noticed you throw away the egg shells. If anyone you know has chickens, you could microwave the shells for 1 minute which cooks the shell, give them away and all they have to do is crush them. Or you could. Then dig them into your garden. It will help keep slugs and snails away cause they wont like the sharp shell. Shepherds herded sheep not cows. Thats why the difference the pie name
Pleased to discover your channel via the collab. Super recipes, thank you. (Here in England, shepherds’ pie is made with lamb and cottage pie with beef.)
