    Hey mate good job on this video as always. One thing FYI... I found a few years ago (which I may have learned from the TIS) is those bolts in the reinforcing plate are apparently deemed to be single use stretch-bolts. Just bear that in mind and make your own choices. Cheers bud!

      @MTechGuy  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes you are correct, BMW recommend replacing these bolts as they are torque to yield bolts. Speaking from experience I have no qualms reusing them, but it’s down to the individual. If they want to replace them- go ahead! Cheers 👍

    Hi Mr teck guy I have a e60 m5 similar to yours, could you throw some light on a problem I'm having with my fob, I have the 2006 model, I have to stand close and point fob at back widow to open it any further away it doesn't work, comfort access sometimes works when you pull handle it used to work without having to touch car, radio does work but only on local channels, it sometimes won't start unless you insert key I have a new key new battery in it think the problem is the diversity antenna giving a weak signal, any idea would be appreciated thanks.

      If a new battery didn’t fix it, sounds like typical diversity antenna fault. Try a key fob battery from the dealer first, the ones from the supermarket/hardware store are often lower voltage because they’ve been sitting in the shelf for ages and it can affect the key fob operation in a negative way. It does sound like a failed diversity antenna though

    A fantastic video, very informative , bro your idle is little unstable , check your map sensor and change your mafs, it will give you great stability and drive

    • @jimjam1934
      @jimjam1934 7 месяцев назад +1

      Not unusual on these for the idle to increase to just under 1k when parked as in this case, mine does the same and was MOT tested in that situation but emissions were still perfect

      @@jimjam1934 bro Its a sign of something failing soon , it happened and it was fixed with these two parts I mentioned, 02 sensors are also important parts to change as preventive maintenance

    • @MTechGuy
      @MTechGuy  7 месяцев назад +1

      Unstable? The idle is steady. It’s normal for it to increase to approx. 900 rpm when the car is stopped, it’s warming the cats
