Back in the 70's I had most of the Replica Models (pre-airsoft) all metal kit with the steel rod cast down the center of the zinc barrel. . I remember the stock and grip were different, the grip had a "T" grooves like a luger, but not curved. . .and the stock had a folded sheet metal jaw, like big sideways toenail clippers, and a tightening wheel like the lead holder on a draftsman's drawing compass. I never bought the scope or mount. . .I traded it for several 1950's knives. . . .I wish I'd kept it. . . I have not seen it yet on RUclips. . . at least not reviewed
this spawned a toy in japanthat transformed into a robot made by TAKARA known as U.N.C.L.E. in their micro man/microchange line. that toy was later used by Hasbro in 1984 as their main villian MEGATRON the Decepticon Leader.
Nice video. The pistols were originally real German WWII P-38s designed to replace the obsolete Luger. The rifle scope is usually mounted backwards, probably just for looks. Funny how many '60s, and later, spy shows use vintage lugers which ceased production in 1948. The nightscope on the THRUSH rifles were actually being developed by Germany during the war.
Also forgot to mention as a budget saving device, the pistols the female UNCLE agents/secretaries wore at headquarters were really plastic squirt guns.
Actually it made it's debut in the 1st season episode "Iowa Scuba Affair," which, after the pilot, was 1st episode filmed and which aired the week after the pilot eisode aired. In it's Iowa Scuba scene debut they switch back and forth between the P-38 based carbine and the Mauser based carbine which the P-38 soon replaced.
I had the whole UNCLE attache case, gun you could fire from inside, real camera, all the componets even today that thing was trick…probably illegal in Ca. today
Sounds like you had the Secret Sam Spy Case by Topper Toys. There is a cool retro add on RUclips for you to check. I had one to, trouble is a seven year old with an attache case in shorts wasn't very secret. Happy days.
actually t.h.r.u.s.h. used a variety of weapons in the series. And from experience, the M-1 isn't a light rifle to lug around. I'm still waiting for someone to build a functional t.h.r.u.s.h. rifle. Maybe update it to a new weapon and scope too ? closing channel r ...
item; Ever notice that Bond\UNCLE use Nazi pistols?..even the first Uncle gun was '34 Mauser, the original Party pistol.....of all the choices they had...[the Luger was Riechstag,BTW pre-dating WW1-and Austrian designed]......I am thinking that the 'Cold War' was not about US vs Soviet....but maybe we didn't beat the Nazi...hmmm.
The U.N.C.L.E. Special has to be the coolest TV gun ever as featured in my favourite show of all time.
Television's coolest-looking weapon ever.

I was Robert Vaughn’s server for lunch in Stockbridge MA. About 2002.
Well, the scene in "Alexander" is a very memorable scene, and often used. It tends to stand out in one's memory more than many..

Same here looking for the case with booby traps and some other stuff
Could We find an alternative to the 2k+ kit? I so want one, but cannot justify an expense of 2k for an airsoft
The music from the second half is Gerald Fried, isn't it? I heard it for the first time in the video. Thank you for uploading.
and another funky score

Music from the Alexander the Greater Affair, where the UNCLE catbine made its debut.
Groovy music
I stand corrected! I realized afterward that the gun had been seen earlier.
お~~、バックに流れる音楽は、ジェラルド・フリード担当の劇伴ですね。アップ、ありがとう。やっと聴けました。
Scroll down the gallery page of my website and you will see my airsoft version of that: theunclegun.
Megatron?
Nope. It's a replica of the gun used on the 1960's TV soy series The Man From U.N.C.L.E.
@@olduncleguywhich was the basis for Megatron's alt mode

I made wooden replicas of this gun to play spy in the backyard.
なんでアメリカなのにガバーメントの改造じゃなくドイツのワルサーなのかなあ。
