This is the most different, out of pocket, interesting Eminem ranking I have ever seen. Putting SSLP and The Eminem Show in your bottom 3 is so... defiant
I respect your "biased" ranking...and I love the way you articulate your comments and opinions on each songs...bottom line is you are to me a certified Eminem fan!
I just started laughing once you named your bottom 3. I'm a new Eninem fan (I've only been listening to his stuff since the 9th of febuary) and those are the only 3 albums i own of his, with SSLP and music to be murder by as my top two. however i really liked what you had to say and your explanations made a lot of sens. mind you the SSLP, MMLP, music to be murdered by and the Eminem show are the only albums I've ever heard, so it will most likely change once i start listening to more of his stuff. And you are so right, all of Eminem's music is so good and this is just your opinion. Love what you do, keep making great content
I almost cried at the Eminem Show ranking but I think most of your critique was pretty decently argumented. I like your mention of No Apologies as well, I listened to it for the first time today and actually thought it was really good, even though I´d never heard of it before.
i feel the same about recovery. It's at the top for me I got it as a gift from my foster carers for christmas but they gave it me late cuz they lost it. That record changed my life completely. You forgot That's all she wrote ft T.I. I think that was the 2010 era too. HTS tho that was straight fire like damn. Listen to medicine man if you havnt heard it that verse is hands down why hes the goat! we need another BME album
Yep, Medicine Man goes hard. Funny you mention That’s All She Wrote, I loved that song so much I did a cover of his unreleased verse from it on the channel. Where I’m At is another good one from that era. Anyway, thanks for sharing your story, I love fellow Recovery fans.
@@trevorbennett mate it goes in that's my fave Em verse that's why he tha goat! I was in foster care. No guidance. Em raised me, love interacting with his fans we all just as fucked up as each other we grew up on fack lol. check out angry kid (fuck all to do with this topic but its funny as FUCK) also I'm a musician myself I'm working on some shit atm will be dropping my first single Novocain next month on the 5th keep ya tabs open for lukas tabz (pun intended)
I like the unique twist in this video compared to others of its kind, especially in ranking EM albums. It's refreshing to see a different approach instead of the usual rankings that mimic each other.
Actually in this video there are a lot of brave fucking takes and that is cool bro. But personally I was pissed because of you placing TES this low cuz it is my favourite😂 but I agree with sslp tbh though
I had a feeling TES would upset some people because I’ve seen so many put it in their top 3. It’s a great album, I think I’m just temporarily over it. I’m glad you agree with SSLP though. I think people get too caught up on nostalgia with that one. Anyway thanks for watching!
I like this, very different. I find it interesting that Relapse at #2 is the one ranking we have in common. I wasn't big on Eminem, growing up, but my oldest brother was a big fan of Em so I heard songs here and there. It wasn't till' the controversy regarding Revival that made me wanna dive thru Em's catalog since I always thought he was a great rapper so I figured how bad could it be. So in early 2018, I began to listen to all of his albums, in an odd order. This took some months since I played each album for a few weeks before moving onto the next, and eventually getting to Revival. I excluded MMLP since I heard that whole album a few years prior because of my big bro, but I did include The Re-Up, and both D12 albums. I initially didn't enjoy Em's choppy flow on MMLP2 and Revival, but that eventually grew on me. I'm not fond of the Em & Rick Rubin collabs, with the exception of "Rhyme or Reason" and "Arose". The only Revival tracks I don't like are "Remind Me", "Heat", and "Need Me". I think Need Me's too poppy since Em sounded like the featuring artist on his own song. Pink didn't need a verse. As for Em's Recovery era, there was also the D12 song "Fame" and his leaked Relapse 2 song with D12 "Hit Me with Your Best Shot". He rapped last on both.
I don’t like “Need Me” either, and I love “Rhyme Or Reason”. It’s funny how Eminem fans have such a different experience than each other but always have things to agree upon
@@Shane-Simpson What’s funny is comments help the algorithm, so I win hahaha, your shallow view of music appreciation and general rudeness can’t hurt me
Holy shit finally someone who appreciates the true beauty of both relapse and recovery. I can finally say that I'm not the only one that would say that these are his best albums
@@VoidTboi It’s very nice to meet you lol. I see a good amount of Relapse praise, but Recovery is always towards the bottom of people’s lists for some reason. I just find that era of his magical
I think what you said about the albums that get overhated could apply to yourself as to why your opinion is so different from a lot peoples and basically it's wrong place wrong time. You had to be there and experience first hand and it was just kind of a different era of sound production and stuff. The experience you had with MMLP 2 being the first album to be released AFTER I got into him, is the experience a lot of us had with MMLP 1 and I did the exact same thing as you, learned it back to front ( still know it back to front now ) This probably the most controversial ranking out there in all honesty
Oh I fully agree and accept this, and I know I’m on the young side for being a full blown Stan. His early work had its time and impact on my life in its own way, but ultimately it’ll never be what I gravitate towards most in the grand scheme of his career. Music production changed A LOT in the 2000s as well, and I naturally prefer the hip-hop sound that I grew up during. Plus, his happier healthier lyrics resonate with me more. I still stand by the fact that he objectively became a better musician over time, but either way, I’m glad anyone is watching this video and not tearing me to shreds. Cheers! Also, I’m glad you think it’s controversial. Seems fitting for the artist
I really hope these negative comments don’t get to you. You’ve clearly stated you aren’t nitpicking and judging these albums, but clearly just saying your own opinion. Honestly funny to see these people get mad. Music is subjective and people need to grow up and understand that. That being said, you and I have different opinions, but that’s okay because I see where you’re coming from, thanks to your explanations. Much respect man, keep making vids.
@@lucafurer9580 Thank you. This is one of the best comments I’ve gotten on this video. I didn’t realize I was part of such a toxic fanbase until the comments started rolling in lol. Ngl, it’s been pretty annoying and it caused me to make a follow up video about it, so I needed to hear this haha
i agree w what you said about revival the hate was overblown, it has its lows but when it hits it hits ,in your head alone is better than anything he’s released after 2017 imo
@@Anonymityfan Yeah I’m very much in the minority on my Eminem Show ranking. I got a lot of hate comments for it, and I knew I would lol. I do think MMLP2 is some of his best work objectively, so I’m glad there’s common ground:) Still love every album of his of course
This may be the weirdest ranking I’ve ever seen ahah and while I don’t agree with it I do like the way you justify it and you make some great points. I definitely do think revival is far too overhated and that reputation is a shame because a lot of people have missed out on castle & arose, which are two of my favourites from him
@@unsolvedsandwiches Yeah that voice he had during that time just scratches my brain, and it’s what got me obsessed with him in the first place haha. My number 1 will probably never change. Thanks so much for watching!
Mannn I was hoping you had relapse/ refill at #1 as that’s my favorite album of his.🤣 but I’m not mad at recovery I also agree his voice in that era was literally perfect
Hey dude, Just watched your can you name Eminem songs faster than me video and you seemed like a really cool guy, so I decided to subscribe to you, but also I like your Eminem albums ranking somewhat cause it's so different than most people's opinion, but let me know what you think of my Ranking 1: The Marshall Mathers LP because some of my favorite Eminem songs are on that album like Kim, Criminal, The way I am, and many more. 2:The Eminem Show because Soldier just hits different and it's one of my personal favorites but also I really love My dad's gone crazy, and When the music stops, but all the other songs are still really beautiful in their own way. 3:The Marshall Mathers LP 2 because it has some of his biggest hits like Berzerk, Survival, Rap God, The Monster and many others, but I feel like there's some underrated songs like Bad Guy, Legacy, Stronger than I was, and also like you said Love game is a really good song as well. 4:The Slim Shady LP because me personally, I kind of like the way he talk in terms of his voice also some of the songs just really hit different like Rock bottom(Criminally underrated AF),Just don't give a F and Still don't give a F, but also many others song. 5: Revival because of the very last tracks cause I think Castle and Arose were really beautiful songs as well as Walk on Water, River, Tragic endings, Like home. 6:Encore because I know some people don't like when Eminem is disgusting in his songs, but I can handle that goofy side of him and I can listen to Encore from top to bottom and still would want to listen to it over and over. 7:Kamikaze because I really enjoy how angry and upset Em was because of how many people hated on Revival for no reason, so I think it was good that people hated on it because we got this album not even a year later after Revival. 8:Recovery because I can listen to this album from top to bottom except Cold wind blows because I really don't like that song, but other than that I'll listen to the whole album. 9:Relapse because Careful what you wish for is my favorite song off the album, but it's really underrated as a song, also I don't get why everyone hated on this album, it wasn't that bad fr. 10:MTBMB side B because it's not like the albums trash, but some of the lines that he had in this album were somewhat too goofy but it's still really good 11:MTBMB because this is a great album but I think all his other albums are better than this one No hate to any of his albums, all very great albums but this is how I feel about them, but I still don't mind listening to any of these albums.
I think it’s more interesting musically. I like the Rick Rubin sound, and I like his voice in Revival better than the other albums. I’ve never really understood why TES is so popular. He was extremely busy that year, filming 8 Mile while basically making two albums, and I think it shows. Most of the songs sound the same, and it’s one of my least favorite albums vocally. MTBMB I would put a few spots higher if I made this video again. I really do love that album, and when it came out, it was all I listened to for a bit. Insane rhyme schemes and lyrics, but again, musically it lacks for me. And I think I explained my thoughts on SSLP pretty well. It’s just the most amateur and it sounds the worst. It’s awesome to see artists’ humble beginnings, but this album just sounds like studio practice compared to his other work. There’s definitely some songs that could be removed to improve the overall value, and I don’t care for his voice on it. Still some songs I love though Revival has more character to me than the other three you mentioned. Much bigger variety as well. Yes, there’s some crap in it too, but I think its highs are higher.
The way he was rapping on music to be murdered by was awesome. Some of the most technically crazy rap you'll ever hear . My favorite album of all time is relapse before the technical level up .
You kept saying that “Eminem got better, his sound got better.” Of course it did… as the years went on the technology got better which then bettered his sound… but there is a lot more then just the sound when it goes into an album… so to place MMLP at 5 when almost the entire album is just pure amazing lyrics story telling genuineness from em, etc… (the sound isn’t even that bad either) is wild!
@@Goldensphinx I agree! Lyrics do matter. I like the uplifting lyrics and delivery of them in Recovery. I thinks it’s not even in question that his lyrics are top notch in every album compared to other rappers. This is where my bias disclaimed in the title kicks in to guide my decisions. I hold MMLP in extremely high regard. Every album I listed after that was swayed by my personal favorite era of him. What I meant(and said) made him better and better was not just technologic, but I think his whole musical expression got more elaborate too. He started having more bridges and melodic moments that elevated him past just his rap abilities. I assure you, the insane quality of his work through his entire career is not lost on me. He’s literally my favorite artist ever, and hip hop isn’t even my main genre.
@@budgetincrease I just can’t fully get behind his voice in The Eminem Show. Sounds like he drank too much milk lol. And most of the songs sound too similar to me. It’s obviously a fantastic rap album, but I’ve yet to see anyone explain why it’s the best other than nostalgia. It just seems like the hype of his career in 2002 had a lasting impression on the perceived quality of the album. I’m not gonna tell anyone they’re wrong though. Nostalgia plays an important part in music appreciation. I just don’t get the insane praise when you compare it to MMLP since everyone loves that whole era
@@trevorbennett honestly good points, I agree with a lot of them. Plus revival has him trying out some new stuff, not all of it stuck, but he’s branching out. Maybe I just like The Eminem Show because it has the songs that introduced me to Eminem
@@budgetincrease That is very valid to me. I’ll forever worship the point in his career that I jumped on as well. And what you said about Revival is spot on
My ranking: 1. MMLP 2. TES 3. Relapse 4. SSLP 5. Encore 6. MMLP2 7. MTBMB 8. Recovery 9. Kamikaze 10. Revival I didnt listen to MTBMB recovery kamikaze and revival but revival is bad for the 7 song ive heard from it
Is interesting how you relate more to, and rank higher albums you are contemporary. Em biggest albums like The Show, Marshall Mathers, or career more significant like the Slim Shady LP, you rank them the lowest, as you were only 2 or 3 years old when they came out. Don't take this as an attack, I respect you individual opinion and the guts to express yourself. Good channel
@@captus4920 Thank you so much! Like I sort of expressed, the instrumentation and vocal performance are possibly the biggest factors for me. And I can acknowledge(unlike some other toxic stans) that my own nostalgia exists too. I just latched on at a different point. I’ve hovered around different albums at different points in life, but you’re right, I have sort of landed at his more contemporary, polished, pop-appeal music. And I totally get why some people don’t like that. I love all of his work so I appreciate the civility haha
While I most definitely don't agree with the majority of this rating I'm happy recovery, relapse and MMLP2 were praised so highly. Very underrated. I know some people are opening up to enjoying relapse and I hope the same thing happens for recovery since it's a mixed bag and I don't get the hate. Also for mmlp2 as well. My rating imo 1. Mmlp 2. TES 3. SSLP 4. Relapse 5. MMLP2 6. Recovery 7. TDOSS 8. Infinite 9. Encore (encore is a guilty pleasure for me ngl) 10. MTBMB (both sides) 11. Kamikaze 12. Revival
@@Liamsmith1872 I have no problem with that opinion. He was oozing talent from the start. I just prefer the refinery of his skills and sound down the line.
VERY interesting video. Didn't agree with it entirely however I think it goes to show how solid Eminem's discography is that even though this list is nothing like mine, I can totally see why someone would rank them this way. I personally started listening to Eminem in 2021 so I don't personally have any nostalgia for him. That said my ranking would go: 11: Infinite - every song on this outside of the title track is hella forgettable. Understandable tho because it was his first album. 4/10 10: Encore - Not unlistenable but considering how good TES is, its a really weak follow up. I also kind of hate how Em's voice sounds in this era. 5/10 9: Revival - VERY mixed bag but completely agree that it was over hated. Cut like 4 tracks from this album and its an absolute classic. 6/10 8: Relapse - I think Relapse needed a little more narrative focus to be solid. Accents aside, I think it was a big missed opporunity to not include Careful What You Wish For and My Darling as the opening 2 tracks. Those songs combined with the Dr West skit (that perfectly transitions into My Darling btw) would really nicely set up he 'relapse' into his Slim Shady ways, but without that context I think the direction of the album suffers somewhat. The beats are insane though. 6.5/10 7: Slim Shady LP - I think if this album got remastered to just balance out the poor mixing it would shoot up way higher for me. I think all of Em's albums are kind of too long and this album especially is just stuffed with filler skits and kind of forgettable songs like I'm Shady and As The World Turns. Those aside, its a great listen imo, and my opinion of it probably varies the most because some days this is my favourite of his big 3 (SSLP, MMLP, TES) and sometimes its my least favourite. - 7.5/10 6. Recovery - Probably the one I've listened to the least, but its solid nonetheless. Some of the beats are a bit forgettable and You're Never Over is baaaaad, but I overall really love the direction of this album. 8/10 5. The Eminem Show - Probably his most overrated album IMO but still really strong. I think Drips might be in my top 5 least favourite Eminem songs, and I think some of the beats haven't aged the greatest but I overall really like this album. I just don't love it like most people do. 8/10 4. Kamikaze - Nice Guy is the worst Eminem song he's ever put out. Including detroit basketball, include G.O.A.T, including My 1st Single, its the worst and I hate it. Normal is also really grating. Other than that I think this is an amazing album. I wish all of his albums where this length because the quality control is a lot stronger here than it is on an album like Revival and even MTBMB. 3. Marshal Mathers LP - Kim is the only skip on this album for me. I just don't like it at all. Well that and the Ken Kaniff skit. Over than that this is a near perfect album. 9/10 2. Music To Be Murdered By - I LOVE the idea behind this album, I just wish it was a bit more tightly nit. However even the skips on this one like Those Kinda Nights, In Too Deep and Never Love Again are totally listenable, just not crazy good. Also Alfred's Theme is hands down my favourite Eminem song that shit goes SO hard. 1. Marshal Mathers LP 2- This album is quintessential Eminem to me. It's zany, funny but also serious and emotional. He's still willing to say some crazy stuff but also willing to get vulnerable. Stronger Than I Was and So Much Better are the only skips and really of those 2 So Much Better isn't terrible, it just pales in comparison. Also this album has easily some of his most underrated and underappreciated songs including Bad Guy, Don't Front, Groundhog Day, Evil Twin and Love Game.
Fantastic takes here. Very refreshing to see someone agree that The Eminem Show is overrated, and I actually really like Never Love Again. I would put MTBMB higher if I ranked them again. I totally agree with every song you dislike, and I love to see MMLP2 as a number 1. That album is so special
Wanted to come back and give a spontaneous ranking bc I've been listening to Em a shitload lately. So 1 caveat and as an old school Stan I'm ashamed to admit I haven't really paid much attention to MTBMB. So I'ma just do the other 10 10. Revival- This is on a scale of comparison of Em albums so that doesn't mean I hate it. In fact this album has 2 of Ems most genius songs in Castle and Arose a true emotional gut punch of real life storytelling. 9. Encore- Ok...listen. I LOVE a few of these songs and even some of the ones I hate I have a kinda love hate relationship with them. And as a parent of course Mockingbird speaks to me on such a deep level and I also love Toy Soldiers and Yellow Brick Road. But my problem with it is that all the songs I hate the most on this album are RIGHT in the center of the album so it's just hard to get through. 8. Infinite- Has some definite stand outs like Infinite, 313 and Open Mic but it's a little bit generic 7. Relapse- When this album first came out I couldn't stand it. But it's aged well for me especially since I've gotten more accustomed to that weird accent with re listens. And especially since the change of sound doesn't distract me I can better appreciate the horror vibes now. 6. Kamikaze- I loved that he spit fire on this one. Also he kinda took some similar beat patterns as the genres he was dissing and proved he could write super technical rhymes on top of it better than them HAHAHAHA. 5. Recovery- This album has a special place in my heart since as I said at the time I HATED Relapse and I didn't listen to this one for a few months. But a good friend showed me Going Through Changes and it HIT ME. Because I've had depresssion in the past and addiction too so those therapeutic songs that he does really hit a personal spot. Plus after Relapse as many flowers as you wanna give it I think if even Em called it MEH we can say it a lacked a little something. But on this one he sounds hungry again. Aggressive and rejuvinated. I mean listen to Cinderella Man and some of those punchlines. "Fuck lightning he struck it, screamed shut up at thunder flipped the world upside down and made it rain upwards?" Guess who ? here's a clue came to the club in a wife beater lost his nike shoeLMAO 4. MMLP 2- I think it was a worthy sequel. I had my share of minor gripes with it. That choppier flow took me a minute to adjust to . But then especially in the back half he RIPS IT with some of his best flows, delivery and lyrics to date. Ex) Evil Twin ( try to catch all the bars ), Love Game ( WITH KDOT ) So Far and that's just the highlights 3. Eminem Show- This was one of the albums where Em actually started to display vulnerablity with tracks like saying goodbye to hollywood, it has a great leading single in Without Me. He read the room perfectly because us Stans were itching for new material. White America where he got politcal but overly so. And Sing For The Moment had some of the best verses of his career. 2. SSLP- Ok so my ranking has been incredibly predictable ( as an elder Millennial ) But this is that old school shit I grew up with and also as a fan of comedy this dark sense of overexaggerated violence and fucked up storytelling is right up my alley. I can understand if your understanding of Em started mid career I imagine this is a similar experience for yall as the Relapse accent was for us. This is his most nasaly sounding flow of all his albums. But there's some incredible multis and some hilarious dark humor killer technicality and storytelling. 1. Basic White Bitch Pick: MMLP- I would argue that this album is considered best for a reason. It's Em at his darkest, angriest, and scariest. He channeled the anger and angst of a whole generation into some of the most technical, hilarious and offensive albums of all time. Not to mention this album will never be knocked off because it has a special place in my memory, attached to so many memories and experiences that it has to go here for me
Love this! And yeah, there’s a reason MMLP ranked the highest of his old albums for me. Thanks for actually articulating your thoughts instead of just dismissing anything post 2005 as “trash” like I’ve seen some Eminem “fans” do. And don’t worry, I like metal music too, so I’ll probably be talking about that on the channel as well.
Here's my personal ranking: 1. MMLP 2. TES 3. Relapse + Refill 4. SSLP 5. TDOSS 6. MTBMB 7. MMLP2 8. Kamikaze 9. Recovery 10. Encore 11. Revival 5th is temporary (get it?), I might switch it with SSLP or place it lower in a month or so.
Still watching the video and wanted to explain that The Cross sounds like an Eminem Beat because Eminem PRODUCED it, so your point is kinda invalid there
1. The Marshall Mathers LP 2. The Eminem Show 3. The Slim Shady LP 4. Relapse 5. The Death of Slim Shady 6. The Marshall Mathers LP2 7. Music To Be Murdered By 8. Recovery 9. Kamikaze 10. Encore 11. Infinite 12. Revival
Does infinite not count as an album? Anyway i dont know if you've heard of these underground EPs but a friend used his dads computer to burn CDs in school 1: off the wall 2:fuckin crazy They should be on youtube there is atleast one 24 song album between the both of them & he just released them for free, underground albums after the slim shady lp & during the release of the marshall mathers lp on tracks with the outsider etc.
Ive just checked it out, fuckin crazy has 16 tracks & off the wall has 16 tracks so if any song you hear was made after 99 or 2000 its not from these two albums, they are dope & still hold up.
The reason Em sounds like he’s constantly about to throw up on Encore is because he was heavily addicted to drugs during the recording of the album which is why the lyrics are a bit off
@@famouscriminals18 I don’t count Infinite. It’s cool to see artists’ humble beginnings and Infinite showed a lot of promise, but I went with only his professionally produced, official studio albums. It would definitely be last for me if it were on this list though

I LOVE the intentional use of that in Legacy. His voice clears up finally on the last verse, symbolizing him gaining confidence and finding his passion. It’s beautiful and makes for such a satisfying contrast.
I like a lot of his songs about Proof. I don’t have a big problem with the lyrics, but the lyrics paired with their delivery and the hook sound a little too cheesy for me. In fact it’s mainly the hook. I don’t care for Hailie’s Song or Stronger Than I Was for the same reason. I listened to You’re Never Over quite a bit as a kid, and it’s on my favorite album of his, so I’ll always have a fondness for it. I just think he has better songs that still heavily profess his feelings like that.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your story, I love fellow Recovery fans.

very VERY bold of you bro to put Revival over TES and MTBMB.. but I respect it tho lol and I agree Revival is way to ovehated 😤
I had a really tough time figuring out where to put TES. The bottom 5 in this list are pretty interchangeable for me.
I like the unique twist in this video compared to others of its kind, especially in ranking EM albums. It's refreshing to see a different approach instead of the usual rankings that mimic each other.
Thank you! I always thought it was weird how many fans have the same top 3

Encore is a hidden gem.Thank you for ranking it over tes and tsslp.
@@trevorbennett His skills as producer DEFINITELY increased over time. And his flows now are craaaaazy technical too

This may be the weirdest ranking I’ve ever seen ahah and while I don’t agree with it I do like the way you justify it and you make some great points. Hey dude, Just watched your can you name Eminem songs faster than me video and you seemed like a really cool guy, so I decided to subscribe to you, but also I like your Eminem albums ranking somewhat cause it's so different than most people's opinion, but let me know what you think of my Ranking
1: The Marshall Mathers LP because some of my favorite Eminem songs are on that album like Kim, Criminal, The way I am, and many more.
10:MTBMB side B because it's not like the albums trash, but some of the lines that he had in this album were somewhat too goofy but it's still really good
11:MTBMB because this is a great album but I think all his other albums are better than this one
No hate to any of his albums, all very great albums but this is how I feel about them, but I still don't mind listening to any of these albums.

Yea Nas' "The Cross" was produced by Eminem, that's why it sounds like an Eminem beat😂
i get that its your opinion but how can revival be better than the eminem show, sslp and mtbmb?
Still some songs I love though
Revival has more character to me than the other three you mentioned. Much bigger variety as well. Yes, there’s some crap in it too, but I think its highs are higher.
I respect the way you ranked and how it’s way different than al the other rankings but tem sslp and mtbmb are not bottom tree and relapse should be 1#
I disagree with myself on MTBMB already. Great album
Bro it looks so obvious that this man works hard on his vids and still have 391 subs? Damn lemme fix that
This is my favorite comment
The way he was rapping on music to be murdered by was awesome. Some of the most technically crazy rap you'll ever hear . My favorite album of all time is relapse before the technical level up .
I agree with that, and I’d probably bump MTBMB up a few spots if I remade this list. My opinions on the bottom 5 are always changing

VERY interesting video. Didn't agree with it entirely however I think it goes to show how solid Eminem's discography is that even though this list is nothing like mine, I can totally see why someone would rank them this way. I personally started listening to Eminem in 2021 so I don't personally have any nostalgia for him. That said my ranking would go:
11: Infinite - every song on this outside of the title track is hella forgettable. Understandable tho because it was his first album. 4/10
10: Encore - Not unlistenable but considering how good TES is, its a really weak follow up. I also kind of hate how Em's voice sounds in this era. 5/10
9: Revival - VERY mixed bag but completely agree that it was over hated. Cut like 4 tracks from this album and its an absolute classic. 6/10
8: Relapse - I think Relapse needed a little more narrative focus to be solid. 6.5/10
7: Slim Shady LP - I think if this album got remastered to just balance out the poor mixing it would shoot up way higher for me. - 7.5/10
6. Recovery - Probably the one I've listened to the least, but its solid nonetheless. Some of the beats are a bit forgettable and You're Never Over is baaaaad, but I overall really love the direction of this album. 8/10
5. The Eminem Show - Probably his most overrated album IMO but still really strong. I think Drips might be in my top 5 least favourite Eminem songs, and I think some of the beats haven't aged the greatest but I overall really like this album. I just don't love it like most people do. 8/10
Putting revivel over the eminem show is a crime
There was 2 albums before the Slim Shady LP. "Infinite" and "The slim shady EP" They weren't produced by dre tho.
Yeah, I’m not a big fan of those. I was only including his official studio albums in this list
infinite yeah but the ssep isn't an album its a.....ep
Wanted to come back and give a spontaneous ranking bc I've been listening to Em a shitload lately. So 1 caveat and as an old school Stan I'm ashamed to admit I haven't really paid much attention to MTBMB. So I'ma just do the other 10
8. Infinite- Has some definite stand outs like Infinite, 313 and Open Mic but it's a little bit generic
"Fuck lightning he struck it, screamed shut up at thunder flipped the world upside down and made it rain upwards?" Guess who ? here's a clue came to the club in a wife beater lost his nike shoeLMAO
4. MMLP 2- I think it was a worthy sequel. I had my share of minor gripes with it. That choppier flow took me a minute to adjust to . But then especially in the back half he RIPS IT with some of his best flows, delivery and lyrics to date. Ex) Evil Twin ( try to catch all the bars ), Love Game ( WITH KDOT )
So Far and that's just the highlights

@@husseinmoussa2947 I’m thinking somewhere around 5 or 6. Right in the middle
The reason Em sounds like he’s constantly about to throw up on Encore is because he was heavily addicted to drugs during the recording of the album which is why the lyrics are a bit off
@@90z79 Yes, exactly. It had a super interesting effect on his music
What about Infinite?

100% man. The sheer amount of people who claim The Eminem Show is objectively the “best” album seems statistically improbable to me. I don’t know when internet opinions became so standardized, but we need more hot takes and for people to not see them as hot takes

slim shady lp in 10 is ragebait also it is NOT HIS FIRST ALBUM 🗣️❄️
@@circuit1138 Dawg I know. We’re talking about his official post Dre albums. If I were to rank them by my perception of objectively quality across all factors of his music, this list would look different. This video is purely based off taste
The fact revival isnt at the lowest
But eh it's fine
you think mtbmb is muffled listen to legacy lol
edit: IM RLLY ANGRY THAT U JS SAID YOURE NEVER OVER IS A BAD SONG. DO U EVEN KNOW WHO PROOF IS WHATTTTTTT
I LOVE the intentional use of that in Legacy. His voice clears up finally on the last verse, symbolizing him gaining confidence and finding his passion. It’s beautiful and makes for such a satisfying contrast.
@@trevorbennett I'm joking with you haha 👍
I like a lot of his songs about Proof. I don’t have a big problem with the lyrics, but the lyrics paired with their delivery and the hook sound a little too cheesy for me. In fact it’s mainly the hook. I don’t care for Hailie’s Song or Stronger Than I Was for the same reason.
I listened to You’re Never Over quite a bit as a kid, and it’s on my favorite album of his, so I’ll always have a fondness for it. I just think he has better songs that still heavily profess his feelings like that.
@@trevorbennett don't wanna start a duel but I respectfully disagree, I have been listening to em since I was 6 and my brother would rap me rap God, I've since realized that some of his "cornier" hooks can be really deep, even when he says "I can't sing, I want to sing" in hailies song kind of just show how much love he has for his daughter, trust me it took me a few listens to realize that those songs hooks are in disguise lol👍
I would switch sslp and revival for the rest I mostly agree!
