@@circuit1138 Dawg I know. We’re talking about his official post Dre albums. If I were to rank them by my perception of objectively quality across all factors of his music, this list would look different. This video is purely based off taste

@Mainonaise Artistry can be an inconsistent craft. I also primarily based this off of style bias. While I think he got technically better at his lyricism, I don’t personally prefer the calmer tone he’s taken recently lol

@@TheRealVibro I definitely don’t think anyone’s favorite is “wrong” when it comes to Eminem. I respect it. Love the raw energy on that album and the classic hiphop vibe

@@Goldensphinx I agree! Lyrics do matter. I like the uplifting lyrics and delivery of them in Recovery. I thinks it’s not even in question that his lyrics are top notch in every album compared to other rappers. This is where my bias disclaimed in the title kicks in to guide my decisions. I hold MMLP in extremely high regard. Every album I listed after that was swayed by my personal favorite era of him. What I meant(and said) made him better and better was not just technologic, but I think his whole musical expression got more elaborate too. He started having more bridges and melodic moments that elevated him past just his rap abilities. I assure you, the insane quality of his work through his entire career is not lost on me. He’s literally my favorite artist ever, and hip hop isn’t even my main genre.

@@Anonymityfan Yeah I’m very much in the minority on my Eminem Show ranking. I got a lot of hate comments for it, and I knew I would lol. I do think MMLP2 is some of his best work objectively, so I’m glad there’s common ground:) Still love every album of his of course

@@garmr214 Well the list didn’t specify genre, but there was a lot of classic rock and metal. I think the creator of it was probably going for overall popularity from the last 6 decades. I did leave out a lot of choices to keep the video shorter, but I thought it was pretty balanced.

@@greapard Just the way I feel. Their music doesn’t do much for me, but I understand it’s a different story for a lot of people, and that’s cool. I also think just because they inspired great musicians that followed them doesn’t mean the Beatles are as good as them. You wouldn’t use a telephone from the 80s just because it came first. Again, I know a lot of people feel differently but everyone has different preferences with music. I don’t like their production, vocals, songwriting, or mixing, but I accept that a lot of people do. Doesn’t make either one of us wrong. Anyway, thanks for watching, and I appreciate you sharing your perspective.

@@uri9495 I don’t know where you live, but in America, Song 2 is the only one I hear regularly. I mean it has over 4 times the monthly streams, so they have sort of the current day representation of a one hit wonder. Might just be my perception based on where I grew up

@@uri9495 We’ve always had A LOT of foreign music here. That’s kind of the point of America. There were MANY British bands in this list, including Oasis. Some bands just don’t get as big. No need to get nasty about another country because Blur isn’t our cup of tea. America has pumped out some of the best artists of all time as well.
