In a quaint little town, where the sun shines bright, Roamed Miss Lou the dog, a delightful sight. With a red kerchief tied around her neck, She wandered the streets, a curious trek. Jen and Kim, with shovels in hand, Worked on the culverts, clearing the land. Miss Lou trotted by, her tail in a wag, Exploring the world, with a playful tag. She sniffed at the flowers, and chased a stray leaf, Her joy was infectious, bringing sweet relief. Jen and Kim paused, with smiles on their faces, Watching Miss Lou’s adventures, her joyful paces. The culverts were cleared, the water flowed free, But Miss Lou’s wanderings were the true jubilee. With her red kerchief, a splash of bright hue, She brought cheer to the town, as only she knew.
The old school or church was a building project of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) initiated during the FDR administration back on the 1920-1940 era. It put people to work who were unemployed. A true piece of history that will hopefully be preserved. Thanks Kim.😊
Good job, girls! If I may suggest; bring a large crowbar for removing stones and straightening bent culverts, and a shovel or spade for dredging muddy ditches.
I have noticed a lot of those water over the road bridges are in desperate need of an excavator to dig out upstream at 50-100 feet on down to the culverts. lots of rocks and gravel
I don’t know your names but the younger one had so much determination trying to get that rock out. Both of you have lots of determination. You go ladies👍🏽👊🏽
The stuff in the green can is called Bag Balm. If you can find a Balm of Gilead Tree, you can make something similar to Bag Balm, minus the petroleum base.
Small tip; Get a small breaker bar , something to give you leverage for the rocks. It will save your backs and hands, plus it will cut your work in half.. Great job ladies Keep the fun videos coming
Seeing Jen putting her hand on that glove just gave me an idea that may help! Get a couple of those kneeling pads used for gardening and use them for your hands too! Great job girls!!!
It does seem those larger stones were placed there. When they created that hoop rock perimeter someone must have thought build up rocks in front of each, epic fail if that's the case. LOL, you almost needed a pry bar for the one rock. Fun stuff thanks for your videos
Maybe you should try getting some 10 snips to snip the culvert back, or some vice grips to grip the culvert and pull it upwards to get more water into the culvert. Not trying to tell you how to do your job because you do a great one just trying to give some suggestions. You guys have a great weekend. Love what you do and will continue watching.
Put a long prybar in the truck. It can unwedge rocks and bend raw culvert edges out of the way. Love that supervisor, Lucy. Jennifer, in North Carolina there is a product called Liquid Bandage, Cut Patch etc. People use it on blisters, cuts and scrapes. Bowlers use it a lot. Yes, it stings. But small wounds are well protected and they heal better because the liquid allows the wound to breathe through it. I've used it myself. It's great stuff.
Can you bring a hammer to smash up the super big rock into smaller pieces? It looks like someone has cut that end culvert open trying to get that massive rock out. I love your strength and persistence getting that super damaged culvert open. It's also nice to see old buildings that haven't been vandalised. Thanks for another fun video :)
Always lovely to see you both clearing culverts and the gorgeous scenery. A question for your fun facts if you are not buried in them; do you have set clothing for this as you know you will get wet/dirty or both?
It just makes no sense that the operators tear up the culverts like that and it's world wide! I know from experience that good operators can feel what they're doing. if they do bend them up or down they can push or pull them back SOME!
You know Jen I thought you had lost a lot of weight but I was afraid to ask in case I was banned. You are really showing the difference in your stamina. As you know I think you’re both Amazon women and I’m really in awe of you two. Good job ladies 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Don’t worry about it! We truly only ban comments that are horribly inappropriate and harmful just for the sake of being those things. I appreciate you noticing and yes I do feel better.
Maybe you can use a come along to your truck hitch together open more. If you weld a short chain on a vise grip and use the come along to your truck hitch.
I wonder why those rocks are the same size and shape that we’re blocking those intakes looks strange to me it looks like somebody put those in the holes on purpose. Just my opinion good job girls that looks fun.😊
If any of those dark colored rocks feel 'heavier' than they look I would test them with a magnet. If they are meteorites they could be valuable. One good meteorite could buy a lot of new rakes and other tools!
Team work makes the dream work. Beautiful stonework on that school. Question: did the money I donated make it to you? I don’t see the charge on my credit card. Thanks for another great video. 😎🇨🇦😎
@@culvertsandmore Maybe “unclogging culverts in swampy wetlands.” I just don’t see the charge on my card, which is weird. The last time it went through without any problems.

I think I’ll title this one “Ode to Miss Lou”
I love that so much, i read it to Lucy.🐶♥️
@@culvertsandmore you have made my evening. I have a great big grin from ear to ear… THANK YOU
Maybe you should bring a metal pry bar with you so you can maybe pry open the culverts a little bit bigger
I have been sending the same message! A five foot long pry bar would allow them to bend those culverts back up and extricate big rocks.....
they arnt usually like that it’s called excavator damage it’s not worth prying it back bc it’ll damage the part even more
way to go girls, the Queens of Culvert Rock
Fantastic determination on this one. Those were some large rocks.
The old school or church was a building project of the Works Progress Administration (WPA) initiated during the FDR administration back on the 1920-1940 era. It put people to work who were unemployed. A true piece of history that will hopefully be preserved. Thanks Kim.😊
♥️
you just determined on that one culvert to get it cleaned out as best ya could. 👍 Love the old buildings
❤️ exploring the old abandoned properties.
Aloha 🌺 Kim, Jennifer & Ms. Lucy! Wonderful job! Thank you! 🌺🥰💖
Nice work ladies !Thanks for sharing the tour of old buildings and close up of little Lucy!!
Bag Balm in the green can. I knew exactly what you meant when you said it, Jennifer!
It’s always a pleasure to watch your videos.
The SIZE of that flat Rock Jennifer, my o my you are a FORCE OF NATURE sister.....!😂❤
Good job, girls!
If I may suggest; bring a large crowbar for removing stones and straightening bent culverts, and a shovel or spade for dredging muddy ditches.
Lucy is a great supervisor! Love her red kerchief.
Excellent job with the clogs. But that old school and playground took me back about 40 years!
Great work as usual, love from Bonny Scotland❤️🏴
Adoro os vídeos de vocês !Tenho um filho celíaco !
What a beautiful place.
Wow ladies another brilliant watch
I have noticed a lot of those water over the road bridges are in desperate need of an excavator to dig out upstream at 50-100 feet on down to the culverts. lots of rocks and gravel
Those twisted metal culverts always have me worried that you are going to slip and cut yourselves🫣 be careful❤ great video, as always👍

Those doors in the back of the old school may have been the restrooms ❤️🙏🤠
Great video again, ladies! I really enjoyed it 😊
Lucy:Yeah I’m blocking ya cuz the subcribers want my closeup
Subcribers:Yep you bet ya

I love your shows for the work and nature scenes. It is a good thing Lucy is not trained to fetch sticks you throw.
bag balm, in green can, good stuff
Good afternoon Jennifer and mama Kim great video North Carolina cares

I swear, culvert clearing is a full-time job! You two are great at it. Too bad the city/counties don't want to fork over $ for your trouble.
Yay Miss Lucy❤
Spa building was so pretty!
Hello Beautiful Ladies!
With these more rockier culverts you could do with a pry bar or halligan to help lever the rocks outta the way.
Are you thinking about the ointment Bag Balm ~ great stuff!!
You two are fantastic! What a job!!!!
Yeah I found out I can't do dairy. You gluten, me dairy.

Very good job.

Those buildings are cool...could be a good camping area
Was that Alice In Chains I was hearing playing in the truck 😊

It is ok for lucy to block the shot because she is so cute.
Bag balm. But manuka honey ointment is the best.
I'm gluten free too. My last meal would be a case of White Castle Hamburgers! I use to LOVE those things!
Why do they put so small pipes in come one do it right the first time same time and money . Love watching you ladies❤❤❤
Wow, big rocks!
Those poles from the tool your dad made seem strong. I bet they would have better prying power than the potato rakes
Maybe you should bring a crow bar and a shovel with you. It might help getting some of the rocks out and opening up the culverts a bit.
It seems like there a lot of abandon houses there, that brick one was quite nice, wonder what happened.
Crowbaf would be ha dy, great video😊
Дуже багато каміння, дуже забились труби, важко, дякую за відео
The old school has a modern HVAC system and screens on the windows, strange.
You were trying to think of bag balm. But manuka honey pintment works alot better.
A crow bar might be a good tool to have in your truck 😉
Bag Balm , works great
That and the Trader Joe's Head to Toe Balm. Both work great. I use it on my feet
Bag Balm is the ointment that you were thinking of.

Crawl up the culvert and empty from the inside!😊
And love that Lucy
We don't mind when supervisor Lucy blocks the shot for a short bit 😊😊😊
Ribeye my favorite !

very enjoyable video I was wondering if a crowbar would be useful? you could probably bend open crumpled culverts! anyway Brilliant Job!
You ladies need to get a crow bar
Udder balm!!!
You need to get a 4 foot pry bar to help with some of the smashed culverts.
Such pretty area. Did someone put rocks across that exit area or was that natural? Interesting!
❤
What made you guys get into this. And how long have you been doing this.
You are talking about Bag Balm they use it on cows to make it easier to milk them
when you get ignored by parents it’s called selective hearing
Maybe when its dry you can go back and remove some more rocks and use a metal bar to make openings bigger ?
Supper job ladies. As aways. So. My question to you ladies is what got you sterted on cleaning culverts
🐶♥️
Determination!
Put honey on your thumb and wrap it. Honey is very healing.
U could bring a pry bar or crow bar to open the up a little
Wow still spins
If you had a metal detector, imagine what you would find around the doorways of those abandoned buildings.
I wonder why those rocks are the same size and shape that we’re blocking those intakes looks strange to me it looks like somebody put those in the holes on purpose. Just my opinion good job girls that looks fun.😊

need a crow bar for dem stubborn rocks 🪨
I thought the same thing. "Are they being placed there on purpose?" 🤔
do you think teenagers stuff try make the pools deeper?
ooh that would make sense as a possibility 100%
Get a pry bar for the rocks
Lucy wants to help you two

Never mind. I didn’t look far enough back. It was July 13th. It’s all good.
Have you ever thought of using your tire iron or part of your dads tool for prying rocks?
I am wondering it what you are talking about for your thumb is maybe bag balm.
Yes it was
