Folks this re-draft from BR got NUTS... What are YOUR thoughts on their Top 10 for 2023? What do YOU agree & disagree with? And how would YOUR top 10 from 2023 look just a year later? Let me know! #GravGang
Having Leo 5th is absolutely absurd, that guy was a difference maker nearly every game he played last year, had great underlying 2 way metrics as well. His production isn’t indicative of how dynamic he was on a nightly basis due to the inability of his linemates to finish his passes because of all of Anaheim’s injuries in the top 6. Leo sustaining 3 different injuries during the season didn’t allow him to get in a groove either, yet he didn’t let it affect his play
All Carlsson did was step right into the first line on the worst team and put points on the board. Like everyone, I’m shocked by his drop. And yeah, if he was coming up this season like Smith, they’d be talking about him non stop
I like Smith for ROY even over Celebrini because he'll likely gather more PP points and play against weaker competition with less responsibility. I can see Smith being the main PP1 pivot the 2nd half of the year. He looked more dangerous in the Sharks rookie camp.
I agree but then so is Michkov. Dude's so overrated lmfao. To me the draft order should stay the same for now ... maybe Michkov jumps to 5th but not much more than that. 2nd for such a selfish, one dimensional player will always be ridiculous to me.
@@matthewkabel6246 Michkov is the biggest boom or bust player from this draft that's for sure. He could very well end up as the 2nd best player from the draft ... but if his attitude and his effort don't improve drastically he might not even be top 20. To me the risks are so huge that I would NEVER take him before Fantili, Smith or Carlsson. The difference between his ceiling and all of these guys ceiling isn't that big ... but the difference between their floors is enormous.
@@AnaheimRob a lot of good scouting and a heaping ton of luck! Musty having a Down season, his draft year Cagnioni going so late because of his height Dickinson falling, Chernyshov falling cause of his shoulder!

I dont understand all the Fantilli and Carlsson disrespect not just on this list but from a lot of people in general. I find it funny how quick people will forget how insane Fantilli was in the NCAA during his draft season and Carlsson in the SHL. If it wasnt for Bedard in most drafts these 2 would be elite 1st overall picks and likely could go head to head with most 1st overall picks once all their careers are said and done. All the disrespect just cause for Fantilli CBJ was just utilizing him in such weird ways and the coaching staff was a dumpster fire last season abd then Anaheim somehow easing Carlsson into the NHL slowly as a bad thing and not rushing him just so weird
Simashev is playing top pair on the best KHL team. He’s underrated cause of low point production but when he comes over next year people are going to be shocked at how good he is. Super excited!
This is what you get from Bleacher Report. They needed an article ASAP so they worked for 30 minutes doing bare minimum thinking. Then they typed it up and clicked submit like some high school student.
Your points about Michkov is why I truly believed way before the 2024 draft that Demidov is and will be a much better all around player...Still gonna be called a bias Habs fan but I said Demidov has the highest ceiling of the 2024 draft before the draft happened and I assume Chicago would take Demidov.
Im still a little upset the blues passed on Benson and Musty in this draft. But looking back makes sense we went Swedish players since Steens the new GM and he was a scout
NO matter how all these redrafts go, as I Flyers fan since 85-86, they'll never make me happy because we won't ever end up with Michkov. Still love all the vids bro
I think smith at 4th is really solid. I think people are really underrating his contribution to Boston College. Same with Pearrault. The rangers got an absolute STEAL with him. In my opinion should’ve gone top 15 maybe even top 10. 23rd is pretty nuts. I know that the teams in the 10-20 mark were more looking for size and a lot of defense so it’s nothing against Gabe, but that line from the Screaming Eagles is gonna be lighting up the league for a while.
I think if its on player rankings Reinbacher at 10 makes sense maybe even a bit later between 10-15 but ya if its a redraft mock style theres no chance a RHD like him falls that much was he a reach? A bit but we know how much GMs are valuing bigger RHD atm
Dude... The DISRESPECT for Dvorsky is insane here! 😂You compare him to Musty first of all (who's a winger, who played more games in the season in OHL and scored half of his points from Dvorsky's work and playmaking!!) And then the cherry on top you talk about his SHL campaign with Oskarshamn from the start of last season. I bet you haven't watched one fckn game from that league yet you talk like the biggest GM saying he did not deserve the top 6 minutes... He was burried on the 4th line and did not get any pp time either in one of the most defensive leagues in the world on a team that failed literally on every position... Put any of your boys like Musty, Perrault heck even Smith in that situation and it's a guarantee they are not scoring like in other leagues!! Grav I like your videos but sometimes you are incredibly biased with your takes and you claim stuff you have absolutely zero knowledge about.
People forget that the reason why fowards score goals is not because they feel every player with individual effort but because of a good first pass to get out of the zone
fantilli is almost a year older than smith in the same draft, fantilli higher floor but smith has a higher ceiling and the fact that he is a year of development down on fantilli.
I disagree strongly on Fantilli being a lower ceiling than Smith, at best they have the same ceiling but imagine Fantilli and Lindstrom on a line... They'd CRUSH everyone it's the 2nd coming of the Legion of Doom line from Philly.
This guy is a certified Sharks hater, his last prospects/rookie video already proved it. I think you brushed off Fantilli's birthday compared to Will Smith, October 2004 compared to May 2005, almost a year older that's not something to brush off the way you did, you act like it's not a big deal. I do think Fantilli was better than Smith in his draft year but he was also one of the oldest players in his draft which can't be overlooked. Will Smith also put up Jack Hughes like numbers in his draft year with the USDP and though he did play with good players like Leonard and Perrault, Hughes did get to play with Caufield and Boldy. In the draft year I had Fantilli over Smith but as of now in a redraft for the top 5 id have it (1.Bedard 2. Carlsson 3. Michkov 4. Smith 5. Fantilli)

@@nappysjsharksfanI agree Smith has more offensive upside than Benson and Leonard too, but solely as prospects in the current day I think there’s an argument to be made that Leonard is more polished, and Benson is currently a better player than Smith by virtue of the fact he was a competent NHLer as a rookie. I think Benson’s skill is massively underrated and that he’s a smarter player than Smith, that compounded with his far superior 2 way game puts him ahead of Smith for me. Leo’s hockey sense is elite and he’s got great individual skill to boot, I believe he’s a future Selke contender and will be a better player than Smith his entire career.
