It’s sorta bittersweet that a Myrrh Tree grew in the depths of Tida Village. The diary for the level speculated that the tree grew from the villagers’ hope of waiting for their caravan, which lingered after they all died. In a way, while their village fell, their hope gave birth to a Myrrh Tree that will help other villages in need.
@@AzureMoebius22 Tida and Tipa (the default name of your village) are awfully close in name. It's like the p just turned up and died like a goldfish in its bowl.
I feel like the name of this dungeon has more intentional ominous tones than people have mentioned. If you're dyslexic and you read the name of this dungeon, Tida Village... you might misread it as "Tipa" because dyslexia often causes your brain to interchange between lowercase D/P. ...but Tipa is the default name of *your* village.
i joined a friend and was not expecting this song and was blown away. honestly the vocals give this, already desolate atmosphere the original gave, an extra layer of sadness.
The exact same thing happened to me a couple of hours ago, the rhythm in the background of this track gives it a silent hill vibe,.......OH MAN I JUST REALIZED!! This whole level has a silent hill vibe to it you know? A lifeless village will terrifying monsters lurking on it
Really would've been dope to see Tida before they lost their crystal with those time switches. Such a beautiful track, really love the beat they added thats paired with the vocals. 👌

@@Ken-ru6or The OG is my least favorite level and song in the game, so any change was bound to impact me more with the bar so low, I guess. Plus, I find the voices to be narratively apt, they’re the lost voices of the villagers that died here, begging their Crystal to be renewed til the very end.
at the end of the day it's opinions on what is better or worse but I immediately found the voices out of place and abrupt. There is a certain style of music the remaster was trying to go for but it's not what the original's melody was made for so it comes off very jarring and forced. (i don't know what it's called, maybe 'primitive ancient temple' but i really like the style when done right) two tracks that come to the top of my mind to describe that music style are 'Tekken 8's sanctum' and 'pokemon scarlet's area zero' same vocal ambiance but they fit much better because the songs were designed around them

Apparently I'm alone with that, but man, I really liked the old version :( I mostly agree with the remasterings of the other tracks, but the mood of this one was just changed completely. It was so sad and depressingly bleak before, but the vocals and especially the added rhythm make it rather sound like slowcore-voodoo-belly-dance...

This can also serve as a harsh reminder for you. This is the fate that awaits your village if you fail.

Tida Village was already eerie as hell, and this remix cranks it up to 11.

Do the remastered songs only play in multiplayer mode? I kinda wish they played in single player mode too they are so good
I was expecting those switces to show what the village looked like before the miasma took over.
That would of been so cool!
How did they managed to make this even more perfect?? Crystal Chronicle OSt really is an undervalued musical masterpiece.

Roboticarm those skeletons are the villagers lmao.
I know right? What a missed opportunity
I was just thinking last night "man I wish I could find this song", and here it is. I was so happy to hear this entering hard mode.
I can feel the anguished prayers of the Tidans waiting for their caravan to return.
And then that silence in end as you feel the life get snuffed out of them.
Thank you for uploading these. This one in particular is 👌
The description… a chilling thought.
Easily the most improved track from this re-release
3 year old but couldn't disagree more. The vocals absolutely ruin it imo

I noticed this song is one of the only songs with vocals; with the other being Rebena Te Ra's intro.
Just made a run through this the first time. Frigging love the music.
They really outdid themselves with this one. So eerie..
The vocals
they turned it into a nier: automata track
I came here to say this lol
I was thinking of ghost in the shell but your comparison is really good too
@@time4manmode945 The vocal style definitely screams "Making of a Cyborg!"

I just got to postgame and so far this is my favorite of the updated music.
Ayy, it’s Marie Kocho, I recognize that singer.
Those vocals send a feeling of dread. As if, its the villagers last prayer b4 the miasma took over😳
Damn Tida's cries cut deep
reminds me of Krazoa temple music in starfox
Great track! :)
This is giving me Re:zero witch theme vibes
大好き!
Is that Go Shiina? O.o those kinda vocals match Go Shiina’s works on Demon Slayer and Tales of Zestiria and the likes
God eater comes to mind for me. This song is so dope

Like hungarian bulgarian singing.
I liked the old one better, can't get used to the backing vocals
The original is still there.. This is a post-game version of the level.
@@demityrant1784 I see. It's been years since I heard it, now it gives me Madoka Magica vibes
It turned into NieR Automata!
iirc the same vocalist here (Marie KOCHO) also did some work for the NieR games, forget which one tho

I agree the original was much better at conveying the atmosphere of the level entirely. I like this version, but it just feels.... wrong?
Hehe, thats one way to describe it ^^
