      Not this way. Our foxes never once went into a cage. We used the dead goat as the bait (covered with natural foliage for her sake) and a soft foot trap and he was caught @@Yourboytanner_yt

    if you think red foxes are destructive, you ought to see what grays in a chicken coop can do, they're worse than coyotes or feral dogs! Good job any way, and God bless trappers like you!

    • @lukegerlach9904
      @lukegerlach9904 11 месяцев назад

      They're a grey fox, look them up, they are a lot smaller than a red fox, but easily just as cunning and destructive, they are also the only fox that will readily climb up a tree when pursued by man or dogs @@paulkazjack

    Dealing with my own fox nightmare, 3 chickens lost. It tried to get in the coop area, but i have electric fence for horses(1 inch band) all over on the outside of the enclosure. It got tangled up in it and zapped a bit, has not messed with it again. But when i let them out during the day, even if i am there watching, it will try and take them. Have chased it off twice myself. i have 12 live traps with good bait, but it does not mess with them. I just catch everything else, skunks and raccoons. Hate dealing with the skunks.

    Suppose you placed a carpet or similar material for flooring instead of having to dig dirt each time..?

    • @lukegerlach9904
      @lukegerlach9904 11 месяцев назад

      so, that would be a dandy idea and all, but the issue is that a fox can be leery of such a thing, since it feels and smells different than dirt, and if a carpet gets contaminated by a foreign odor that renders it useless for all other trapping, plus a fox would tear the living shit out of a carpet in a trap, as will here in the states a coon, badger, mink or anything else, and a possum there in Australia, but its not too bad an idea for feral cats or roving dogs in need of a home

    After fox has been trapped, haw to get rid of it from the cage without a rifle? Any idea? I hate this beautiful animals after massacred almost all our chickens and made us to eat industrial, artificial eggs instead our domestic ones.

      well i've always dispated foxes by rifle but, i did catch a possum for a mate once. which i let go i opened the trap using full length weilding gloves and they were needed. i have seen foxes dispatched by a swift blow to the back of the skull with thed back of a hatchet or similar hope info helps.

    So what happens to bodies/body parts of the euthanised foxes? Do they get used for something? Or how are they disposed of? And if foxes are territorial, couldn't having domestic foxes living on property, deter wild foxes? Hating foxes right now, after our chickens got massacred :(

      I have let them rot a bit, and get maggot invested. Once a huge pile of maggots develops, i shovel them out and into a bucket. Fed them to the chickens. Its ironic, thats why i do it
